Once in the far away mystical land of Boven Athar, there lived a wise and compassionate king, his caring and honest queen, and his two wonderful children. This tale is not about them however, but rather the king's champion Batharious the brave, who at a young age was determined to become the strongest force of good in all the lands. Batharious was visited by the goddess of everything good Zelandra, who later blessed him and deemed him her champion, her Champion of Light. Unfortunately, this blessing was double sided, for this had awoken the ire of Arcygeamos, the twin sister of Zelandra, and the goddess of all that is dark and evil. She cursed him to never find love and to be overzealous in his quest to exterminate all evil. This lead to Batharious …show more content…
The king fearing his champion might become too restless and find darkness and evil in the hearts of those with only the purest intentions in their hearts, sent him out on a quest. The quest was to gather his fellow champions, smite the newly appointed Champion of Darkness, Marcaroniuos and to finally smite the goddess Arcygeamos, who had been wreaking havoc on the Western kingdom of Minrosa for generations. Batharious set out to gather Logarnomoca, the witty, from the freezing North where the sun rarely shines and the nights are long. Nicolamosas, the swift from the great East, where the ocean is the great provider for all, and all know its' mysterious ways. Mathaln, the arcane from the boundless South where all is so plentiful that every man has everything they could ever need just outside their door, whether it be free or for a small price. This is where the story truly begins dear listener, for our heroes are outside the gate of the Citadel of Darkness, the lair of Arcygeamos and Marcaroniuos, devising a way to breach the gates as we …show more content…
"Logarnomoca, explain to Nicolamosas why I can't just "blow the place up" retorted an annoyed and mentally drained Mathaln. "Nicolamosas, if he did that he would kill himself with the strain, and alert the goddess to our presence, and he's no use to us as a corpse" said an indifferent Logarnomoca. "Quiet my comrades, lest you alert our foulest of enemies to our presence!" urged Batharious, who had overheard the racket that his fellow heroes were making, and didn’t wish for it to continue anymore. “Be still you fools, lest we slip out from the protection of Mathaln’s sphere of cloaking and doom the lot of us to never-ending torture at the hands of the Dark Goddess or her vile champion!” ordered Batharious. “Mathaln, do you have enough power left to blow the gate off its hinges, or create a portal inside?” inquired Nicolamosas. “No, no I don’t, I barely have enough energy to maintain this field around us, let alone try something as dangerous as that, you three will have to think of a way that doesn’t involve my magic as much, I still have to level the magical playing field later on. If I don’t you three will end up looking in the general direction of Arcygeamos and being transformed into spiders for it.” answered Mathaln. “Ok, point taken.” retorted Longarnomoca. The heroes then began formulating a plan on how to breach the gates of the citadel when suddenly they were all transported to a large,

Theseus, the newly found prince of Athens, embarks on several hero journeys including on against Minos’ Minotaur and the Labyrinth. Joseph Campbell’s representation of the hero’s journey fully encompasses Theseus’ narrative throughout his quest to defeat the Minotaur. Beginning with a call to adventure on through the crossing of the threshold and on to the reward and resurrection. Compared to Rank’s hero’s journey which includes a revelation and transformation with atonement, Campbell’s process fits more precisely to Theseus’ story.
This shows that the Earth goddess was a ‘force to be reckoned with the Ibo’s eyes. Most of their life depended on pleasing her. If they didn’t, it had terrible consequences.
The book contains a captivating use of symbolism making the story more interesting and understandable. This magnetizes the reader into the book. "At the first show of dawn, great Alcinous left his couch, as did that ravager of cities,
He along with Banquo, meets the Witches on a thunderous moor where he is told of a prophecy in which he will soon become Thane of Cawdor and then King of Scotland.
Then, like a cog slipping naturally into its own notch, his thoughts turn to the Witches and their prophecy, and he concludes that he has defiled his mind for the descendants of Banquo he has murdered the gracious Duncan for them; he has poisoned his own peace of mind and given his immortal soul (eternal jewel) to the devil, the common enemy of man - all this to make the descendants of Banquo
This poem is meant to enlighten the minds of English studies while helping us interpret what the minds of our ancestor thought was morally wrong and right during that time period. First of we are introduce into a kingdom that has contained mythical conflict for a long period of time. The view of it is described to be endlessly. Creatures rain havoc upon the citizens of the kingdom regardless on what role they have. There is Death chaos and fear which is not ideal for any successful kingdom.
Such were the enemies arrayed against Cardoroth, nor yet had the sorcerers thrown all at them. But that would come. They were slow, but they were relentless. Hatred drove them. And the richness of the north lured them. And there was a shadow behind it all. That much was becoming increasingly clear, Aranloth had warned him. A malevolence controlled things: growing, waxing, nurturing its strength, testing the courage and resilience of the
And yet after hailing me and my fellow friend Banquo, they vanished into the air and what seemed solid and tangible, managed to melt away. It was so sudden, and so much left out in their speech. How was I to be King, and how long must I wait? Were they really there and did they say what I heard? Or perhaps, I must have eaten some poisonous root that has made me hallucinate? But my conscience, a constant thump telling me to accept it and take what is rightfully mine.
The pinnacle of Aletta’s narrative was set in motion upon concluding her bootlegged Viridian training - overseen by the marred . Thereafter, Aletta rallied like-minded individuals whom denounced the recent upheaval of magic to Regalia, and laid down the fundamental bricks of what would later become the Azure Order. The organization was viewed by spectators as one of necessity, duly to the sum of Regalian citizens believing their infestation was to be eradicated by this newfound party.
What I overheard them talking about shocked me completely. They were murderers! They killed King Duncan and Banquo so that he could be the King. The Ghost he had seen was one of his victims, Banquo. I knew what I had to do… I ran for what felt like hours until I got to the city center! Then I climbed hundreds of steps to the top of the bell tower and rang it three times. Announcing our new King was a cold blooded, heartless, Murderer. What they did with that information was up to them, that was going to determine our

Deep inside a forest, lives the evilest goddess of them all. Ech is an evil witch among all gods, her darkened heart is filled with negativity and hatred, she is more villainous than Hades. Her surrounding is padded with human waste and skulls with the blood dripping from her gloomy knife. She lives to punish mankind. Taking away innocent humans lives as a punishment for their sins. Every life punished, becomes a gift of joy to her. Her cruelness can not be stopped nor questioned near her.
Respected Storm God’s in ancient mythological literary works such as the Enuma Elish, The Baal Cycle, and both versions of the Illuyanka Myth play an important role in associating cultural beliefs with the defeat of chaos. These three works show a variety of ways in which the Storm God defeats dragon-like monsters and how the gods bestow their trust in the Storm God to maintain order, as the Storm God is the protector of all creation. The purpose of this essay is to compare and contrast these three literary works to demonstrate the defeat of order over chaos. In the Babylonian Enuma Elish, Marduk, the Storm God defeats the dragon-like monster Tiamat. In the Ugaritic Baal Cycle, the Storm God, Baal, defeats the serpent Yam.
“What have you done?”, asks Banquo’s ghosts. “You have taken these prophecies too far and caused chaos. How much more blood must be shed?”
