Zeus married his own sister Hera, the goddess of marriage and monogamy. He had his throne on the highest top of Mount Olympus and was respected by all Gods and mortals. All the kings boasted that they descended from Zeus. It is said that Zeus was responsible of the weather and shaped it according to his temper. When in high spirits, Zeus would have blessed the world with fine weather; however, in case of bad mood, he would have thrown the rain, winds, lighting, and thunder to cause disaster to the mortal. Poseidon is a Greek god who was the god or ruler of the sea, horses, and earthquakes. The two Titans named Cronus and his sister Rhea where Poseidon's parents. The symbol of Poseidon and his favorite weapon was the mighty trident. Poseidon gained the power to rule the sea by drawing lots with Zeus and Hades after they defeated the Titans in order to rule Mount Olympus. Triton was one of three son's of Poseidon but his most famous ones of the three were Theseus and Bellerophon.
