Lance is seventeen when he crashes his beloved blue Mitsubishi Diamante into a tree, gifting himself a nasty concussion, a broken wrist, and a terrifying lecture from his overprotective mother. “You’re an idiot, Lance,” his friend Pidge says, sipping at her milkshake, “I can’t believe they ever gave you a license.” “We’re glad you’re safe though, buddy. You had us all worried there.” Hunk adds on from next to him, a warm presence that wraps around him pleasantly. The Cuban smiles, waving his hand dismissively at them before turning his attention back to the ice cream in front of him. It’s melting quickly, turning into a soupy mess, but it doesn’t stifle the hunger that gnaws at his stomach. Eating his dessert quickly, he decides not to …show more content…
I know that I can’t fix you, but why would I want to? It’s cheesy, but you’re perfect the way you are. You’re strong, Lance. You’ve been through so much, and yet you’re still here, fighting on. And that’s why I love you.” Quietly, Lance scoots closer to Keith before he wraps his arms around his waist. Keith’s breath catches in his throat before he returns the hug, heart thudding wildly. “You’re strong too, Mullet,” Lance says softly. In the darkness, Lance presses his lips softly against Keith’s, eyes fluttering shut. This kiss is like nothing Lance has ever experienced before. Lotor and the club and the dreadlocks guy have nothing on Keith; compared to him, they were bronze to Keith’s gold, paling in comparison. They stay like that for a few moments before pulling away, hands intertwined. “We should sleep,” Keith murmurs, and Lance nods in agreement, gently pulling him down to rest against the blankets on the floor. He curls against Keith’s stomach, the other boy’s arms thrown around his waist protectively. Nuzzling into his neck, Keith lets out a tender, satisfied sigh before Lance’s gentle hums lull him to sleep, Lance not far behind. I don’t know where I’d be without my friends, he thinks groggily, succumbing to his exhaustion, Hunk, Shiro, Pidge, and Keith. I love them so
“If your insomnia is starting again you should take the pills that the doctor gave you,” Isabelle whispered. Alec caressed one of Isabelle's hand's.
Sam was walking home from the Morrisville Market with a full bag of groceries. The sun was hot and no clouds were in sight. He smelled the fresh bread being baked in the shops. He felt like nothing could go wrong, and oh how wrong he was about that. The sidewalk was cracked right in front of Lana’s Diner glowed an odd red light. “What the……AHHHHHH!” When a garbage truck pulled up the garbage man found Sam lying face down on the sidewalk with a \
“I’m gonna go after Sarah!” Luke screamed over the noise and without second thought, he took off running. My eyes went wide as he was immediately lost in the crowd of walkers.
“Yes, I’m here.” You placed your hands with his, squeezing it gently to reassure him.
“Don’t worry i'll be there if you get too scared,” Kye replied with a knowing smile.
Sea gulls bickered on the warm, morning breeze over head. The waves lulled the vessel boat to-and-fro as it skimmed through Blackwater Bay. The water sparkled like sapphires, clear and bright under the sun. From the bow of the boat, Alayna peered out towards the Narrow Sea. Beyond the bay, adventure called her like a siren song. She longed to explore the lands beyond Westeros. However, this voyage wouldn’t ferry her towards that dream. She’d continue to dream of that journey. The schooner wouldn’t be sailing beyond the bay.
He runs up to me! “It’s okay, we are safe,” Father attempts to comfort me.
There’s a slim chance that a person can be strong all the time. Although that may be true, there’s an internal drive to want to be the person that everyone can rely on for support. I embody that person. I have moved twenty-seven different times, my parents are divorced, I have lived by myself for the past five years, and I learned how to live without people. However, since I knew what true loneliness felt like I made sure that everyone knew they could rely on me. I have never really cried and always carried the persona that I didn’t care what people thought about me, and I made sure that even if I was having a bad day that no one else was. I have been bullied ever since I can remember, until I gained personal confidence and was determined to
Around midnight, I exit the room, quietly shutting the door. I’m surprised to find Jensen sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall, asleep. I smile weakly, but it instantly drops. There’s too much sorrow tight in my chest for me to smile. I sit down close beside him and he stirs, looking up at me, worried.
"Go to sleep, princess." He mumbled. He kissed my forehead and pressed his cheek against the top of my head, lulling me to sleep.
“ You can’t say that it wasn’t your fault, I should have been more safe.” He said with a reassuring
Lance has always been a fun and kind person who always pushes through in hard times. Last year, during one of the testing days, when we got to go to school late, I went surfing with him and some other friends from the team. We had been out for an hour or so, and the waves had started to get bigger and bigger. I had just caught a wave and was paddling back out when Lance took off on a massive one farther out. I watched as he dropped in and he hit his board very weirdly; he got worked. It turns out he'd broken his ankle and we had to go in. (rush back to shore?)
Our tale start on a dark night. Not dark and stormy but dark. Our hero roams the streets alone. Who is the hero you might ask. Well let’s just say that his name is John and continue with the story for now. Now our hero lives in an abandoned pickup truck not too far into the forest. He lives there with Brian and Megan his two best friends. Before you ask yourself “Do they steal food and other things they need?” The answer is no. People in town are very nice. The baker buys everything that they need and when they need it he will give it to them. So John was walking thinking that life is never going to get better. BOOM! That came from the alley in front of him. He ran toward the explosion. “Hello? Anybody need help.” He yelled. As the
I won’t hurt you,” Ernest promised and was ready to cry as he watched Justin go down the road. “He is a friendly boy. Gee, reminds me of Joe at that age,” Ernest spoke aloud, going into the house. When Joe crashed his bike, he always got right back on, and I know Justin would do the same. Ernest thought, humming as he made a drink and sat down to enjoy it.
The duo sped through back roads of their little shore town, belting 90’s country music at the top of their lungs. The doors of his black 2002 jeep were off and the top was down so the warm summer air surrounded them on their drive. The breeze swept her long blonde hair out of her freckled face and into the salty sea air. Brennan admired the way she left it to lay naturally as opposed to many other girls, but he knew she was never one to do as others did. Her bright blue eyes captivated him, drawing him in time and time again. Her face was beautifully fresh, free of any makeup or blemishes. He preferred to see her this way, anyway. Her ratty soccer tee shirt hung off her bare shoulders, concealing her plain black bikini top. The sun
