Children and young adults usually don’t have the mentality to seek and utilize rehabilitative programs because they usually don’t want to acknowledge or don’t even realize that they have issues to be treated. We as adults need to show these troubled youth that we care about them and their futures, as they will one day become the leaders of our
During the past two months I have been at Hudson CMO, I learned how to assess children with behavioral and mental needs. Also, I experienced many Care Managers applied different behavior theories to a client care plan during meetings. This was a new experience for me, because I always read about assessing needs in a community or a person, but never did I experienced someone actually sitting with a child or family and evaluating a child and their condition. Lastly, during the child’s needs assessment meeting, the Care Managers would collect primary data from the child family to determine what would be a good care plan for the child.
This book puts emphasis on the transformation of an American citizen into a marine and the importance of sustaining the change. It is imperative because our war fighting ability depends on a lasting transformation not only during the time of the individual’s Marine Corps career but also when he or she returns to their civilian communities.
There will be numerous policies and procedures within a setting and Staff need to be aware of them. There will be a number of other policies written to safeguard the children, young people, staff, and visitors from danger and to ensure safe practice throughout the setting. The purpose of this policy is to maintain an environment where children feel secure, are encouraged to talk, and are listened to. Also children know that there are adults in the day care centre who they can approach if they have any issues for example if a child is suffering from neglect at home the staff at the day care centre and other multi agencies will work together to improve the child’s situation, so that he will stop suffering from neglect at home.

The principle of designing services around children and young people is to be able to meet all their needs. Every child is unique , it is important that all practitioners understand this. Firstly you need to establish what their care needs are so you are able to meet them in the correct way. This can be done by communicating with parents and other services connected with the child. If the service is meeting the individuals needs the parents/ careers should have no reason to be unhappy with the service provided and the child should remain in the setting. The children must be encouraged to meet their full potential. The 5 outcomes of the Every Child Matters provides a requirement for settings to aim high for the children in their care ensuring they have the opportunity to achieve each one of them and this must be

Description of duties consisted of providing therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents, and their families as it relates encouraging and facilitating positive developments within the client's functioning within their community, school and household environment. As the client is entered into the OPT/TSF program, the goal is for the client to remain in the community with less intensive services. Through the services, I observe the client's behaviors and become familiar with their referral provided by Delaware Division of Prevention and Behavioral Health. Once an assessment is completed, I develop a treatment plan which consist of long and short-term goals, objectives and interventions goals that would ensure the client's success within the OPT/TSF program.
Applying care values when using communication skills can lead the child and parents of the child feeling valued and supported by the service user. In early year settings there are ten care values the care providers need to meet when the children are their responsibility. The care values all link up in some way they are all related to the welfare of the child. The other care settings have fewer care values but children aren’t able to support and look after themselves this is why there are more care values that the care providers have to follow to make sure the children are safe.

Since then I have followed how the foster system in the state of Rhode Island is truly lacking in meeting the needs of children. Currently, I am working in a program for dually diagnosed adolescent boys with sexualized behaviors. While this has been extremely rewarding it has also been unfortunate to see the trauma that takes place in many foster care and group homes before their admission to the agency. Unfortunately, the trauma is often times relived over and over as children get placed back into homes of abusive parents or moved into a “safer” home which ultimately ends up more dangerous than where they had been taken from. Currently I have been able to work directly with Licensed Social Workers, The Department of Children and Family, The Department of Mental Health, as well as many other outside agencies in order to get the best care possible for adolescences in the program. In doing so I have been given a small glimpse at how fast pace the world of professional social work can become as well as how difficult it can be to transition youth into adult services. Transitional services is an area I have gained a particular interest in over the course of the last
Have you ever noticed an older person remain stuck in their ways? It's frustrating to watch when it's a habit that's detrimental to their livelihood. However, the saying is true that old habits die hard. A Harvard study pointed out that "we're motivated too often by a sense of guilt, fear, or regret. Experts who study behavior change agree that long-lasting change is most likely when it's self-motivated and rooted in positive thinking." Still, it is incredibly difficult to change as you age. Because of this, it is vital to start success habits earlier in life. Once you begin these good habits now, you'll be in great shape later down the line. Take a look at Steve. Steve began running during his teenage years. When he's unable to fit a run in
Burke (2014) stated that organizations change from day to day. The changes that take place in organizations can be intentional or unintentional. Generally, the changes that occur is accidental. It is important to have a broader and deeper knowledge of understanding organization change. Understanding what is currently happening as well as trends in which the organization is functioning can provide such awareness.
