My topic is about the full impact LeBron James has had on the NBA and society. He is known as a modern-athlete activist, he has never been shy to express his thoughts on social issues outside and inside of the NBA. LeBron James has played such a major role in the Black Lives Matter movement. For example, in the opening of the 2016 ESPYs, LeBron mentioned all the recent police shootings that have been occurring, and expresses his feelings on how he wants change. My topic will also talk about the impact he’s had on the economy, not only the impact inside of the NBA but thing’s he’s done outside of the league. Overall, I’ll explain the overall impact that he’s had on the world, and how much of an influence he has been in the African American community.

LeBron Raymone James was born on December 30, 1984 in Akron, Ohio to a 16-year-old mother, Gloria Marie James, who raised the child on her own. When James was growing up, life was often a struggle for the family, as they moved from apartment to apartment in the seedier neighborhoods of Akron while Gloria struggled to find steady work. Realizing that her son would be better off in a more stable family environment, Gloria allowed him to move in with the family of Frank Walker, a local youth football coach, who introduced James to basketball when he was nine years old. While james was young he played AAU ball . Lebron James has the dribbling skills of a point guard and the physical grit of a power forward. He can dunk from almost the free throw line, and also drain the threes. There are few players in that category in the NBA. Kevin Garnett may be in that small list. Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson would be they are retired.

LeBron James is my role model, he is a great basketball player, and he is also a great person. LeBron was drafted into the NBA in 2003, straight out of a high school named St. Vincent St. Mary. His rookie year he averaged 20.9 points a game, that’s more than most players in their entire NBA career and that’s pretty good. LeBron is a great player, person, and teammate. He is one of the best in my book.

LeBron started playing basketball when he was nine years old. He won the MVP award four times! LeBron does a lot of muscle workout, muscular fitness. He also spends time doing cardio workouts so he has enough stamina and fitness so he can play basketball. For LeBron to keep maintain his stamina, he likes to eat rice, baguette, and bagel. He even adds peanut butter to his bagel.

LeBron James, Larry Bird, Julius Erving, Kevin Durant, and Elgin Baylor, five NBA small forwards, have left and are leaving their mark on the game. LeBron James is the number one overall small forward to ever play the game. He is the most dominant player on the court night in and night out. He has the most assists all time for a small forward. He is only thirty-one years old, so he has about six to ten years left to play. If he continues to play at his current level, he will break most records by the time he retires. Kevin Pelton said, “If LeBron retired tomorrow, he'd leave as the greatest small forward in league history based on his four MVPs, and he's already among the top 10 in all-time win shares” (Broussard, Adande, Peterson, and Pelton).

Kobe fell in love with basketball at the age of three making his game elevate substantially over the course of his younger years. gain national attention during his high school career, Kobe started varsity for his high school from his freshman, He also lead his team to an overall 77-13 record throughout his high school career. Unlike many other great NBA players Kobe also was an avid soccer player in high school.

When his grandma past away it started to get difficult for them. They had to go to house to house almost everyday. His AAU coach looked after him and took him under his wing until his mom got her stuff together. The high school he went to was called St. Vincent - St. Mary High School in his hometown of Akron,Ohio were he was highly promoted in the National Media as a future NBA superstar. After he graduated he went into the NBA draft and he was selected by his hometown team Cleveland Cavaliers, as the 1st overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft. After nearly a decade’s worth of Western Conference supremacy, it’d be easy to think that the NBA’s Eastern Conference would get the memo to be more competitive, right? Guess again. With stars like Jimmy Butler, Paul George and Paul Millsap heading West, the balance of power continues to shift westward.

At first glance Trainwreck seems to promote transgressive feminism, but if one observes the movie closely, s/he will find that, despite the movie’s efforts, anti-feministic concepts appear quite often, making the movie very contradictive. These concepts appear throughout the movie, from the main character’s everyday life to other characters’ attitudes. With these concepts taking place, the movie becomes hypocritical and makes the movie’s overall efforts of transgressive feminism futile.
