Robert Lee Frost was born in March 26,1874, in San Francisco, California. He graduated from Lawrence High School, the from Dartmouth College and Harvard University. Sold his first poem “ My Butterfly. An Elegy” in 1894. He married Elinor on December 19,1895 and had six children. Some of the awards he won were Pulitzer Prize of poetry and Congressional Gold medal. He died on January 29,1963. (Biography.com Editors). One of his work in poetry was “The last word of a bluebird”. The poem talks about a message that the bluebird wants to give to his friend , that he is going away for the winter, but can not tell Lesley directly. Throughout the poem the themes of friendship and hope accurately depicts the reality of human interactions. Such as the implicit and explicit delivery of the message, using a variety of poetic devices and the structure of the poem. The poem’s main purpose is to deliver a message. The poem is about delivering a message from the bluebird, but it also has an underlying message of friendship. The narrator says,” I was looking for you./How do you do?/I just came to tell you/ To tell Lesley (will you?)” (Frost, lines 4-7). This shows that there is a speaker who happens to be a crow and wants the narrator to deliver a message to a girl named Lesley. The message is from her bluebird.
