“The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fiztgerald is a story of love, loss, and loneliness. Nick Carraway was a bonds man when he first met his neighbor, Gatsby. He lived in a tiny home in West Egg and was a simple man with no wants except to study bonds. All of that changed when he got an invitation to a party hosted by his neighbor, Gatsby. He had crazy, rambunctious, substantially large parties where many people came to escape the hardships of life. Gatsby lived in an enormous mansion that overlooked the water between West Egg and East Egg. He had more than anyone could ever want; or so he appeared. The book focuses on a few main characters, such as: Nick, Gatsby, Nick's cousin Daisy, her husband Tom, and Daisy's friend Jordan. Daisy and Tom live across the water from Mr. Gatsby and Nick with their young daughter. Throughout the book you learn more about Mr. Gatsby; how he likes sailing, how he came into money, and how he was in love with Nick's cousin and Tom's wife, Daisy. He was a wealthy man with a large mansion, glorious pool, and luxury cars, but he didn't have what he truly …show more content…

She fell in love with the abode, just as Gatsby hoped she
The Great Gatsby is revolved around loneliness, each character showed at a point their sign of isolation in the book. It drove the plot by surrounding the main character and how he believed love could have taken away his loneliness. The characters were looking for something that was never there and devoted their lives to it.
Through the inclusion of Nick and George, Fitzgerald and Steinbeck both demonstrated the modern theme universally, everyone struggles with loneliness. In The Great Gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald, Nick shows struggles with loneliness by how when Gatsby dies Nick had no friends again. After Gatsby dies Nick was left by the small group of people he knew and there was no one to talk to, “as I sat there brooding on the old, unknown world” (Fitzgerald 180). Nick is now all alone with no one to hang out with after Gatsby dies. At this time nick is sitting on the porch looking at what Gatsby uses to look at, the green light which meant to him money and also that's where Daisy lived, everything he had and wanted.
The Great Gatsby”, written by F. Scott Fitzgerald, portrays a world filled with rich societal activities, love affairs, and dishonesty. Nick Carraway is the busy narrator of the book, a curious choice considering that he is in a different class and almost in a different world than Gatsby and the other characters. Nick relates the plot of the story to the reader as a part of Gatsby’s circle. He has hesitant feelings towards Gatsby, despising his personality and corrupted dream but feeling drawn to Gatsby’s wonderful ability to hope. Using Nick as an honorable guide, Fitzgerald attempts to guide readers on a journey through the novel to show the corruption and failure of the American Dream. To achieve
“The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him”, said Bob Marley. In The Great Gatsby, written by F. Gatsby’s life is revolved around Daisy and trying to please her every way he can with the help of Nick. His goal is to be with Daisy and take her away from her husband, Tom Buchanan, which causes many conflicts throughout the book. The actions Gatsby makes causes many impacts on the rest of the characters and what happened in the rest of the story. Gatsby’s self-centered fixation on Daisy destroys the lives of most of the secondary characters in the novel, most of all Daisy Buchanan, Tom Buchanan, and Nick Carraway.

The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, is told from the perspective of one of the main characters, Nick Carraway. Nick tells the story of a man named Jay Gatsby, who is his neighbor in the West Egg. Fitzgerald portrays Gatsby as a man who everyone wants to know and copy but deep down are very envious of him. Gatsby trusts few people and those whom he trusts know his life story. To everyone else, he is a mystery. Everyone seems obsessed with Jay Gatsby. For this reason the novel revolves about rumors of Gatsby rather than the truth.

In his new home, he meets Jay Gatsby, the main character in the novel. Throughout the novel, Nick's involvement in Gatsby's affairs causes him to gradually lose his innocence and he eventually becomes a mature person. By learning about Gatsby's past and getting to know how Gatsby faces the past and the present, Nick finds out about the futility of escaping from the
