“The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fiztgerald is a story of love, loss, and loneliness. Nick Carraway was a bonds man when he first met his neighbor, Gatsby. He lived in a tiny home in West Egg and was a simple man with no wants except to study bonds. All of that changed when he got an invitation to a party hosted by his neighbor, Gatsby. He had crazy, rambunctious, substantially large parties where many people came to escape the hardships of life. Gatsby lived in an enormous mansion that overlooked the water between West Egg and East Egg. He had more than anyone could ever want; or so he appeared. The book focuses on a few main characters, such as: Nick, Gatsby, Nick's cousin Daisy, her husband Tom, and Daisy's friend Jordan. Daisy and Tom live across the water from Mr. Gatsby and Nick with their young daughter. Throughout the book you learn more about Mr. Gatsby; how he likes sailing, how he came into money, and how he was in love with Nick's cousin and Tom's wife, Daisy. That is exactly what Jay Gatsby dreamed of. He hosted parties in hopes that Daisy would come, he built a palace fit for her liking, and he searched day after day for a single person who knew her that could help them rekindle their love. He worked for his money, but that was not the success he was looking for; no, for he was looking for Daisy. Even though Daisy was married, he was still in love with her. Nevertheless, he still tried to find her and rekindle their love once more. After he finds out that Daisy was Nick's cousin, he had him prepare an afternoon tea and invite her. When Daisy arrived, she saw Gatsby, and was in shock for a moment. The feelings came back, and they were in love once more. Gatsby moved the gathering to his house to give her a tour.
