Marcial Macial Degollado, the founder and former General Director of the Legion of Christ, was born on March 10, 1920 in Cotija, Michoacán. He was a Mexican-born Catholic priest and had numerous relatives who were priests. After attending assorted catholic schools his whole life he decided to become a priest and to pursue a religious career. In Clovis's early life he was a very brutal man who killed off other leaders just to gain power and as soon as he was the sole leader of the Frank's, he embarked an on aggressive campaign. After, he ended up actually converting to Catholicism and the Franks followed his example. Soon, the Franks devout beliefs ended up in increased tensions with other Germanic tribes who had different views than them and ended up in terrible conflicts. Clovis defeated them and forced them to convert, with the support of the church along the way. The reasons Maciel and Clovis are similar are because they both attempted to do terrible and good things at the same time. Just like Maciel tried to run a Catholic order while committing sexual assaults, Clovis attempted to follow his own beliefs by killing and forcing religion onto others. So overall, one is able to see these men attempted to follow their faith but ended up being to involved with worldly matters rather than spiritual ones. One final similarity these two men share is how they sucked the church into supporting them. For example, Clovis gave the church protection while Maciel gave them money. So overall, the main similarity these two men share are their urges to do misdeeds and to use their powers to their

Marianismo is the female equivalent of machismo; it is considered to be the realization of the feminine, and characterized by hyper feminine behavior. This could seem bad because it’s basically women accepting their roles, such as, housewives, in the Mexican culture.

The Castillo De San Marcos is a historic site of over twenty acres that was originally a fort constructed by the efforts of the Spanish in present-day St. Augustine, Florida. This fort was built in order to protect the town from attacks of the English. Such assaults occurred before when Sir Francis Drake led twenty ships and thousands of men to burn down the city. The pirate Robert Searles, also from England, later looted the area. English power was becoming more prominent as more people settled in America, so the queen of Spain, Queen Mariana, decreed the construction of the Castillo De San Marcos to protect the settlement.

I agree the quality of our life is deteriorating under mayor de Blasio; we already gave de Blasio chance to become our mayor, but cannot see a better life, so probably other mayors can do it. I like Bo Dietl’s mission: “I understand the trouble facing our city not because I read about it in a textbook, but because I live it”. Sometime we need standing out to see this society. But I think Nicole Malliotakis would won the debate because “Subway system that’s crippled” she slams to mayor de Blasio is great point that can make her gain more supports, and I really want to see how the NYC becomes difference if there is a first female mayor. Forward to a better NYC in the

During the seventh millennium BC Minoan civilization inhabited Knossos, the capital of Minoan Crete until 1375, which marked the end of Minoan civilization. After an earthquake destroyed the first palace in 1375, the palace was rebuilt to become something magnificent even in todays terms. It begins with Greek mythology when according to script, architect Dedalos designed something so extraordinary that King Minos who commissioned the palace held Dedalos captive to prevent the prisoner from introducing the palace plan to anyone else. However, Dedalos had built two sets of wings enabling himself and his son to fly off the island. However, throughout his lifetime, Serra created nine missions and converted over 9,000 Native Americans into catholicism.God made us in his own image and likeness to be like Christ through our different abilities, choices, and faith. Therefore, I must be ready to accept God’s call of service, recognize the necessity of the Church, but also share my unique abilities and talents to help others.
