Maya Angelou was an american poet, memoirist, and civil rights activist. She was born: April 4,1928, in St. Louis, Mo, she died on May 28,2014, Winston Salem, NC, and her full name: Marguerite Ann Johnson. She was an actor, director, producer of plays, movies, and public television programs. One of her quotes were “I have learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will not forget how you made them feel.” Maya Angelou was found dead by her nurse, Maya had been reported that she had poor health. On May 29,2014, Mount Zion Baptist Church in Winston Salem, of which that Maya Angelou was a member for 30 years, they held a public memorial for Maya Angelou.
