Michael Jordan is one of the best NBA players of all time. This is my biography about him.
Michael Jeffrey Jordan was born February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. Michael Jordan went to Laney High School in Wilmington, North Carolina. This is where Michael started his long basketball journey. But he didn’t try to make the team until his sophomore year where he didn’t even make the varsity team. When he didn’t make the team he was very embarrassed, which lead him to be determined to make the very next year. So in the next summer Michael trained all summer long, where he also grew from being 5’11 to being 6’3. At the start of the season in his freshman year he didn’t do very good as he was very nervous, but after he got over his nervousness he was a very good player. One of the best starters in the starting lineup, which had two kids James Worthy and Sam Perkins that had very good NBA careers. It was only three games into his college career that Jordan really made his mark as it was his first really good game against the number ninth ranked Tulsa Golden Hurricanes, as he lead the team with 22 points. Michael became a fan favorite very fast because of his great plays and amazing dunks. Michael was even becoming a favorite from his teammates as North Carolina's starting point guard Jimmy Black said “Michael could do it all-score, defend, block shots, rebound, and even “quarterback” the team.” according to Michael Jordan Modern Role Models.
North Carolina had a very good season with all three of their stars going 12-2. Which was good enough to make the NCAA playoffs also known as March Madness, where they made it all the way to the finals where they faced the Georgetown Hoyas. In the finals North Carolina pulled off the win as the score was 63-62 where Michael hit the game winning shot at the buzzer to give them the
