People act different in certain situations some coward and run away while others stand strong and be courageous. In to kill a mockingbird almost every character shows acts of courage in dangerous situations. Atticus shows great amount of courage against the mob that was threaten to hurt him if he didn’t move out of the way and let them get Tom Robinson out of the upstairs of the jail house. He just sits there with not a worry in the world standing up and protecting Tom Robinson from the angry crowd.

Muhammad, Siddhartha Gautama (the Buddha), and Jesus Christ were extremely influential leaders and were all the keys to establishing three of the major religions today; Islam, Buddhism and Christianity. These religions are currently the largest religions in the world and influence billions of people every day. All three of these men have shaped the course of history and redefined the destiny of mankind. They all lived very interesting lives and preached different lessons to their followers. I would like to start this essay by first looking into the history of each of these men and later comparing and contrasting the way they lived their lives as well as their teachings.

One day, my family and I traveled to Minnesota. Once we got there, we rushed straight and we turned right to the amusement park called “University of Nickelodeon” and when I walked in, my stomach dropped. As of today, the world’s two largest religions Christianity and Islam share an estimated 3.6 billion members, more than half of the world’s population. On the surface, they appear to have almost nothing in common, however, as one goes beyond the surface and examines the other factors such as the rituals, beliefs, ethics, founders, and convictions, the two religions share many similarities. However, in order to truly see and understand these similarities and differences, one must date back to the rise and birth of Christianity and Islam.

In “Images of Jesus Christ in Islam,” Oddbjorn Leirvik warns the reader that one can easily read the Quran with a Christian bias, ignoring historical context (28). Examining the similarities and differences in the Christologies presented in the Bible and the Quran can easily garner such biases. Leirvik brings several issues forth that add perspective to examining the Muslim Jesus in comparison to the Christian Jesus. It is indisputable that each religious tradition is in support and full belief of its own message. Both Christianity and

Christianity, Judaism, and Islam all have similar origins, development, beliefs, and sacred texts. Contrary to popular belief all three of these religions share more common ground than one would think. The differences are present of course, but the similarities help one understand where all three were derived from and why. All of the religions share the common ground as to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, the belief of monotheism, and “ethical standards required social justice for individuals and for the community” (144). Judaism is the oldest religion out of the three, then falls Christianity, and lastly Islam.

At the first glance, Islam and Christianity appear to have nothing in common, however; as you go beyond the surface, they appear to have many similarities such as their beliefs of God, their beliefs of life after death, their holy scriptures, and their prayers. These religions, although are two entirely different beliefs, share a similar origin. Like many other religions, they both claim to be the one and only true way to God. In order to truly see and understand their similarities, one must date back to the rise and birth of Christianity and Islam. Throughout the course of this essay, I will compare the many facets that show the alikeness between these two growing religions.

In this essay I will compare and contrast many of the facets that make up the worlds largest and most recognized religions, Christianity and Islam.

The two largest religions in the world, Christianity and Islam, were implemented by two of religions most powerful leaders, Jesus and Muhammad. Without question, both Jesus and Muhammad have affected humanity powerfully. As religious leaders both men laid down the principles upon which Christianity and Islam are founded yet today. However, while Jesus performed miracles and arose from the dead, thus proving to his followers he was God, Muhammad performed no such feats, and made no such claims. In fact, Muhammad’s only claim was that he was the last prophet sent from God.

A man who has been sent by gods among ethnic Arabic man to convey the teaching of Islam which Muhammad ( PBUH ). Muhammad is the last Prophet who was sent by Allah. Allah has chooses Muhammad as a Prophet because he has a very personal character to him in the title of Al-Amin. Besides that, the Prophet Muhammad is also featured in the community as a leader in the country Islam. The leadership brought by him is the best leader in delivering an exclamation of Allah. Muhammad call a rowing boat with a competent government and a husband who also subtle interactions, a careful and wise father execute the duties of wives and children as well as a wise and sensible Muslim divide dedication to God, family and friends. Moses was a humble man, but God sees that he is mightier than Moses sees himself. When God tells him that he must lead the Jews out of Egypt, he grows fearful and unworthy of such a task. Moses humility toward God is what makes him capable of such a tremendous mission. Although, he would have much rather not lead the Jews out of Egypt because he is afraid and does not have faith in himself, however, he is able to do it because God has told him to and God would not ask him to do so if it was impossible. Moses successfully leads the Hebrews out of Egypt. Moses was capable of freeing the Jews of slavery with a quality of humility (No Title, 1986).
