Most people would agree America offers opportunity and security. People in most foreign countries have none of the above. So, wouldn’t it make sense that they would want to come to America? Yes, most foreigners come to America the “Land of the Free” to take advantage of the opportunities America provides. Now keep in mind while they are here they change tremendously. It is most foreigners dream to come to a land of freedom to pursue whatever road their mind would like to go down. Unfortunately, they don’t have the opportunity in their country. The most common reason why people come to America is freedom and opportunity. One breathtaking example is from the story titled “Vagabond Nation”. A woman named Asar Nafisi was forced to walk 15 feet
Whether it is to feel the sense of freedom or to just start over, immigrants from all over the world come to America seeking all possible opportunities for a

There is always new waves of people that come into America every year seeking a new opportunities for themselves and for their children and their families. Many come to have children in America so that their children will never have to face the hardship that many immigrants faced in third world countries. The pure fact of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness gives people from all across the world that are facing adversity since they were a mere child gives them hope to someday pursue and accomplish the American Dream and have a better life.
Some of the most intelligent and ambitious individuals, who are unsatisfied with their own countries, bring their skills to America. Few countries offer the limitless opportunities that the United States offers. You can start your own business, learn a high-tech career, become a movie star, publish a best-selling novel, or be elected to office. People in other countries crave the same things we do: recognition, wealth, fame, and the feeling of making a difference. America offers endless ways for a "nobody" to become great. Many countries of the world limit educational opportunities, stifle entrepreneurship, and prevent individuals from reaping the rewards of their hard work. Consequently, such individuals often come to America. In fact, our nation was founded by English and other European citizens that risked their lives to sail across the ocean to an unknown future. America can't help but become better from the influence of such people.
It is understandable why someone from another country would want to come and live and work in the United States. The reasons might be varied, but the biggest would seem to be for economic reasons. It is estimated that there are around 3.7 unlawful immigrant households in the United States (Richwine). While millions of undocumented immigrants come to the U.S. to improve their economic condition it has the effect of negatively impacting the U.S. economy. While some argue that these immigrants are taking much needed jobs from Americans, the other side argues that they only take jobs most Americans don’t want (“Is Illegal Immigration”).
Since America is mostly considered as a place for better opportunities, people are going to America for studies or for jobs. In other words, today’s immigrants prefer to come to the United States because it has freedom of speech and religion. Also, many people see America as the land of opportunities, the land that makes peoples’ dreams come true. The quote appears on the Statue of Liberty: “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe
For immigrants, America was the land of opportunity or a way of escaping. For both, it involved adventure, hope, and dreams. However, those people that made their way to America were quickly disappointed at the realization that this much younger country was not what it seemed to be from the outside looking in. The expectation for coming to America was a land of opportunity that did not exist before.
In order to cross the border you have to have a passport, or a special pass of some sort. Most people aren’t even supposed to come to the United States so they “risk” their lives to come here. One main reason Immigrants come to America is for better opportunities. Reason being is, they would make way more money in the united states than what they would be making in Mexico or wherever they came from. They may seem desperate but they’re really not, they just want a better life.
A better way of life? More opportunity for work? Better environmental conditions? What is it that brings people from other countries to risk it all to come to our country? Maybe it is the open invitation we have had displayed on our very own Statue of Liberty:
In the beginning, America was a new land full of opportunity and freedom. A whole different world to start over in. Many people came to the New World with a purpose. Their exact reasons vary, but, when whittled down, they all came for one of two reasons; riches and religion.
Many people migrate from their country and go to the U.S. There are many reasons why people do this. Lack of job opportunity, poverty, diseases, tends to push people to leave the country. For example, in the movie “El Norte,” Rosa and Enrique, the brother and sister, lived in Guatemala, where they lived under the Mayan time. Guatemala isn’t a modern country. It doesn’t have electricity or advanced farming tools or fancy houses or flushing toilets. Life is difficult there. The poor work as farmers, but are paid very little. They are extremely poor and if they try to fight for their rights, the government kills them.
According to the United States Bureau Census, there are about 325 million people living in the United States. Of the 325 million people, 42.1 million have immigrated from another nation (Ibtimes). But why do so many people want to live in the United States? What is it about America that captures the attention of other countries’ citizens all over the world? Well, the answer is simple—freedom. The freedom that America bestows upon each and every one of her citizens is the same freedom other countries’ citizens desire. While the freedoms of speech, religion, and suffrage make America a desirable nation to live in, they are also the three freedoms many Americans take for granted.
Why do families travel all the way from thier country to the U.S? Foreign families travel all the way to the United States because the United states has oppurtunity, Whats oppurtunity ?
lict. People often have different ideas about what should be done by the government or if anything should be done at all. Economic growth relies on how many people there are, their incomes and the education level that they acquired. Immigrants typically go to the United States for better opportunities, they help our society by taking the “dirty” and low paying jobs that most people do not want. The term liberalism refers to the states choice to adopt or expand certain policies such as regulations of businesses or medical benefits. Religion in the states and local levels help to predict the was that people act differently towards issues such moral disputes.
Lastly, another reason that people come or live here is for a better lifestyle. A lot of countries have strict governments and poverty which would make your lifestyle horrific. In America you have the benefits and freedoms to make your lifestyle better. As
