Motionhouse is a company which mainly showcase their work outdoors as they always perform productions that are made for the outdoors. However, they also perform their productions indoors at theatres. Motionhouse focus on real life issues that are happening in the world right now. There are not a lot of companies that do this. It shows to be very interesting. Their success from sold out shows come mostly from having great digital imagery in their work. Success has also made them become an outstanding touring company. They have a strong bond between water, earth and energy. In recent works when working with their dancers, they explored flooding, the pressure of time, fear and captivity. When working on outdoor projects they even performed with/on
always been known for the risky and powerful movements which are often why dancers retire from the company. The dancer’s movements were often very intense and emotive, such as the “throws” across the stage in which the dancers would, almost violently, launch themselves across the stage in different forms (leaps, falls and flips to name a few). Another section where the movements were emotive is where the dancers were thrusting their hips in different positions to perhaps show sexuality in “self”.
The second video I chose to discuss is Dancing in Water: The Making of RIVER, the creators-Eiko & Koma was their first work for the Retrospective Project. RIVER is an outdoor work, which was performed in nine different sites. RIVER took place in moving water through practices in the Catskills to performances in the Delaware River and the American Dance Festival. The sense of flow they both create through their movements is so powerful and dynamic that the viewers can feel the water moving over us and journeying with them through life. This performance was able to include to audience by using passerby such as the people rowing and interacting with them while since continuing with their process. The sound accompaniment being used in RIVER worked
The Running Room company has been a successful and profitable business since its inception, catering to both avid runners and more casual joggers by selling high end running shoes. Its owner, Raina Cisco, used her background as a nationally ranked runner to establish credibility as a running shoe authority, especially for higher end products. In order to maintain this image of quality, Cisco chose to primarily sell Nike shoes. The Nike brand is associated with performance in the minds of her customers, and she was able to make a $5-$7 premium per pair of Nike shoes. Despite this success, after about 10 years of steady growth, profits began to decline due primarily to
The two live dance works viewed this year were “Emergence”, performed by Sydney Dance Company, choreographed by Rafael Bonachela, performed at the Princess Theatre and a recorded dance performance titled “Image”, choreographed by Jason Northam and Liesel Link. The two dance performances substantiated were exceedingly diverse and dissimilar. The two performances juxtaposed their intentions and interpreted opposing elements through diversity in movement vocabulary, structural devices and form, performance skills and technical elements.
The bare costumes and minimalist sets allowed for the dancers to be featured and used their bodies to be the ‘set’ on the stage. The dancers used their bodies to create the backdrop for the stage, at one point a group of dancers created the stimulation of water!
At some point in their lives, many families face the prospect of moving to a new home. While a move may be stressful for adults, it can be even more traumatic for children, as they are most likely not a part of the decision to move, and might not understand it. Many children thrive on familiarity and routine, which a move severely disrupts. Therefore, when considering a move, it is important to weigh the benefits against the comfort that familiar surroundings provide a child.

Following the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941 and the United States entering World War II, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066 in 1942. This order led to the evacuation of over 100,000 Japanese Americans, both citizens and immigrants, to Relocations Centers located away from the Western coast of the United States. Life inside the Relocation Centers was complicated not only by the living and working conditions, but also by the many social, political, educational, and cultural dynamics among the different generations of Japanese Americans. (Kessler, 1988). Once released from the centers, the United States, through the Resettlement Program urged the Japanese Americans to settle throughout the country in hopes for better
At 11:25 hours the group took a break for exploration. The group entered the Vista House. In the Vista House I saw the unique stonework of the building, saw views of bridges and tunnels that are important to the area, and read information about commercial ventures such as road houses and hotels.

I noticed damage to the front fender of the victim's vehicle. The offender was off scene prior to my arrival. Officer's then attempted to make contact with the owner of the vehicle. Officer's were unable to make contact with the
Furthermore, Broadway house demonstrates the integration of both physical and emotional needs of the patient. It is great that individuals that reside in this facility are able to seek physical, social, emotional, and spiritual gain. Moreover, the programs that are offered within this organization is exceptional. The activities they have on this site is used to motivate the minds and bodies of the residents. Many of the activities consist of; “Offsite day trips, Pet Therapy, Life Skills education, including cooking and financial management classes, and Meditation (BWH). For instance, pet therapy is very beneficial because it provides residents with happiness and may lower feelings of depression and loneliness. Another activity that also is extremely beneficial is meditation. Meditation can assist the resident to deal with the disease, which is necessary because it allows

Its arrangement demands the significance of testing our previously established inclinations of what move can, and ought to address. “DV8 Physical Theatre's work is about taking risks, aesthetically and physically, about breaking down the barriers between dance, theatre and personal politics and, above all, communicating ideas and feelings clearly and unpretentiously”( Artsadmin. 2016.
