In Villenueve’s 2013 feature film Arrival, the thought of seeing the future evolves into a negative sense as viewers are able to have different perspective on the matter.
In the film arrival, viewers are able to see things from different points of view. In the movie Dr. Louise Banks is able to see into the future. She can decide on if she would like to try and change her fate or not. Being able to see into the future is an unfathomable concept to the normal human being. The concept is viewed differently from person to person, and can have both positive along with negative effects, varying on your perspective.
