Ms Abrams Everything Garden is a children's book written by Lisa and Samantha Colodny, with illustrations by Ashley Scott. This book is told from the perspective of a young girl who has just entered the first grade and doesn't know any of her new classmates. She misses her old teacher, friends, and even her old desk. She struggles with how to make friends in her new class.
Ms. Abrams is the girl's new teacher. Shortly into the school year, Ms. Abrams announces that the entire class will be participating in a class project for the next few months. They will be responsible for planting and maintaining a garden full of vegetables and flowers. The children must work together in different areas of the garden in small groups that are mixed up every week. The girl learns how to care for a garden with her classmates as they also learn more about each other every week. By the end of the project, the class has been transformed from

Learning to be in a new environment and making new friends is something everyone deals with. Teaching that these emotions can be overcome with patience and being open to new experiences is such an important lesson for kids just entering school to understand. This book gets that message across very nicely. The illustrations nicely reflect the action that is happening in the story without being distracting.
My only negative comments about this book are that it seemed a little longer than necessary and there were a couple of grammatical issues. The biggest problem with this book is the inconsistency in punctuation of the title. The cover of this book has the title written as Ms. Abrams' Everything Garden, while the title page says Ms Abrams' Everything Garden, and the title on Online Book Club and Amazon is listed as Ms Abrams Everything Garden. Needless to say, it's a bit confusing why there are three variations for the
It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity”, these are the quotes of the famous German physicist Albert Einstein in relation to how the world has become overly reliant on technology. As a result, we have taken nature for granted while also ignoring the adverse effects of technology. The making of steam engine, the usage of fossil fuel and the creation of chlorofluorocarbon are all technologies which has benefited us greatly and are continuing to do so, but like everything on this earth there are always negatives to counter the positives This is the balance that we must find between nature and humans.
When the class sang songs about happiness and games her lips barely moved.” Margot ignored the other children, the only time she participated was when an activity mentioned the sun. Margot keeps herself apart from the rest of the class while she talks about experiences with the sun, when that is what the kids want the most. Although Margot’s classmates hurt her because of their jealousy, Margot was also partly to blame for since she keeps mentioning something that her classmates has always wanted.
Jessica is the new girl, while Alexia is popular and bratty. Peter is the class clown, while his friend Luke is the smart kid and a total nerd. Danielle is shy and has a hard time standing up for herself. Anna is an outcast because of her home situation, and Jeffery hates everything. Mr. Terupt is the new teacher who knows how to deal with them all. The class wanted to have a great year with their new favorite teacher, but then a playful joke turns into a possibly fatal freak accident. So, the kids grow very close to each other as they hold onto hope that their teacher will be okay.
The artwork in this story has no words so the children and I will be able to make up the story based on the picture. The first time the children see the book will be with me at group time, we will describe each picture and talk about how the child feels before and after and asthma attack. I will read this story at group time with the whole class and then leave it out in the literacy center for further
Everyday kids go to school happily, but then they see the garden filled with dead plants, the mood is immediately dampened. Everybody soon starts to ignore the hideous garden, but the teachersThis will never happen with the GardenBot, an AdaFruit, specifically designed to water school gardens. The GardenBot was originally a transportation device, but after many failed attempts the idea was abandoned. A new idea was created, a device that helps water school gardens so teachers don’t have to. Therefore, the GardenBot will be put in the new Brickle Academy to water the garden because it helps the school community by watering the garden, taking the task off the teachers, and has some helpful social implications.
Her body shape is as being a large, solid, heavy piece dressed in work clothes, wearing her husband’s hat “pulled low down over her eyes” walking in “clodhopper shoes” (Steinbeck 1), and leather gloves to cover her hands. She is strong and powerful, a master in using the scissors in her garden, a woman whose energy is incomparable to any other ordinary housewives. Her energy radiates through her gardening when she plants geraniums “as high as the windows” (Steinbeck 1) year after year. She cuts away the old flower stems with a “short and powerful scissors” (Steinbeck 1) and plants new flowers. Elisa is productive in her garden and she wishes she could use her energy for something more than just planting

between the words and the picture (Hintz, p.166), writing the exact kinds of flowers that were in the picture (“daisies, lilies, and hydrangeas”) so that children can learn the differences between the plants. From Finch’s story, it can be gathered that adults believe that children are in a stage of development, and should be taught new concepts, vocabulary, and ideas in progressive stages. *See annotation A for Finch’s full story.*
Which is where he meets his best friend till this day are still friends. He enjoys his new school very much with his new friends. He did miss his old neighborhood friends. The favorite part of the book is when swimmy comes up with the idea that if all the little fish swim together them they will appear as the biggest fish in the sea. This book is great for young readers because it teaches the readers about the importance of teamwork and creativity. Leo Lionni’s simple words make the book excellent for young readers to understand. The illustrations also by Leo Lionni are like no other as they are simple, elegant but still different than other illustrators. His illustrations in Swimmy are so natural. Teachers can use the beautiful illustrations to do art projects of their

Sometimes we forget the importance of friendship and putting others first and need to be reminded by something as simple as a children’s book. J.K. Rowling shows you through the eyes of an eleven year old how there is strength in the love for friends and family that evil will never
Friendship, mortality and death are the few aspects of this book that intrigues me. It showed a story of friendship and salvation, a story that render the truth about the way people and animals feel, think, and act. How both animals and humans experiences pain and love which shows that we are no different. A portrayal of animal characters with realistic human emotions.
When Roxy entered kindergarten, she became very fond of her teacher, Mrs. Smith, who often found flowers scattered on her desk upon arriving to school. Mrs. Smith nominated Roxy for the “Outstanding Student of the Year” award at her kindergarten graduation, and Roxy’s parents were so proud of her that they
“Hey! What are you doing here?” The little girl grabs some fruit off of the bushes. Then proceeds to shove them in the pockets of her dirt-stained dress. I run over to her and push her hands away from my precious plants. She stands up with her hands in the air, then runs away as fast as she could. I grab
