Earlier I mentioned a little about the layout of my dorm room. Now, here is the full version. When you come into the dorm, each set up on the right and left are basically the same. The closets are against the same wall as the door in separate corners. On top of my closet is a big black stereo, most of the time I have some type of R&B or Neo Soul coming from the speakers. My roommate has the TV and DVD player on top of her closet. Recently we watched the MTV Music Awards on it. Of the eighteen freshman dorms I have chosen Canaday as my primary place of study. Canaday is centrally located in Harvard`s Oak Yard in which it shares with Thayer. It is the newest dorm built by Harvard and its students enjoy its central location next to Annenberg and the Science Center. Canaday is divided into seven vertical entryways which have a variety of different suites available. Canaday is actually three separate buildings which create a courtyard in the center. My particular room of study was located on the fourth floor of C hall. The room dimension is eight feet by ten feet. Staying cool is something we all strive to do when it is too hot, and vice versa when it is too cold. Being to hot or too cold is an extreme nuisance in every day lives, but I’d much rather be too cold than too hot. It is quite simple to keep warm: either put on more layers of clothing or wrap yourself in a blanket. To keep cool is another story; one could strip off layers of clothes until they are naked and have no more layers to go, then they resort to a fan, which in turn is just blowing more hot air at them. Coming to The Pennsylvania State University I was excited to learn, meet new people and have fun, and I have been able to do most of those, however, it is sometimes difficult with the scalding oven that is my dorm room. To help fix the problem that my fellow students and I are experiencing, I propose that the university either install central air conditioning in all dorms, or, barring that, install air conditioning units in dorm rooms, in order to allow students to get more sleep, better grades, and have an overall better and healthier college experience.

The place where I feel the most comfortable, and show my personality, is my bedroom. This is the place where I can really be myself and do what I want; it’s the place I come home to, and wake up every day. My room makes me feel comfortable because it is my own space. My house is always crazy, with my dog barking, and my siblings running around making noise, my room is the only place in the house where I can come and relax without caring about everything else, the only place that I can go to clear my mind.

In the corner you can see the fairies and pixies fighting over the pizza i was eating yesterday which is infact my favourite food.
