It was a hot sunny, afternoon ,my family and I were heading to Six Flags 5 long hours away from where we live which is Atwater California, but it felt like a 30 hour trip. When we got to the hotel that we were going to stay at for 4 days while we were visiting Six Flags my parents asked me if I would start walking with my little brother to the entrance where my big brother, sister ,grandma ,and aunt were waiting in the first lobby. I reached out to text my brother that we were heading over to the hotel but my phone wasn’t there! I started to freak out and I actually pinched myself just to see if it was a dream but it wasn’t I asked my little brother if he had seen it but he said that he hadn’t. All I was thinking about was what my parents would say about me losing my phone. …show more content…
He right away knew that something was wrong because right away he asked me what was wrong I tried to change the subject but my little brother told him all about me losing my phone and me freaking out. When we got to the room that my parents my brother and I were going to be staying at because of course 8 people aren’t going to sleep in the same room with only 3 beds. The second I opened the door everyone yelled surprise and there were 4 boxes on the bed I asked what all of this was but all they told me was to open the boxes and that 2 were mine and 2 were my little brothers. I opened my gifts and there was the new Iphone and 2 pairs of shoes! I got so excited that I almost forgot to say thank you.My parents entered the room and they asked me what I had in my hand and I told them that they were some gifts from the family and I thought ”man I love my
It was the summer of 2015, and this was an usual summer; hot and humid. Me being a college student at Emory University and working at Six Flags I was always busy. Today was one of those days. I have to clock in at Six Flags at 6:00 pm, and then be on time for finals at 8:00 pm.
When I was about five years old, I assumed that everyone was the same as me. I believed that everyone liked what I liked and that they would dress exactly like me, but I never asked them if they truly did share the same compassion as I did. This all changed the day I invited my friend to an amusement park. It had been during the summer when my parents decided to take me to my favorite place- Six Flags. Since I wanted to share the experience with my new found friend, Amy, I asked her if she wanted to come. At first, she complained about having too much homework and other nonsense, but once I demanded she come with us, she agreed. At that time, I didn’t think of it as demanding. I thought of it as persuading her to come along and persuading
I got to go to Six Flags in the summer with my parents. I loved all of the rides in Six Flags except for roller coasters. Why don’t I like roller coasters? Well, the main reasons why I don’t like roller coasters was that I am scared of heights. I remember seeing the roller coasters and they towered up so high. My family and I went to Six Flags together because we thought that it would be fun to spend time with each other.
As an 8-year-old child, the worlds scary place. Everywhere you look there’s something terrifying. From people the size of giants, roaming the streets, with no care what so ever with their surroundings or just realizing that in a few years would come the most difficult and emotionally unstable time of my life. Sure, those things may be slightly exaggerated, but what I do know is the most horrendous experience I had in the land of joy that ultimately ruined my love Disney for many years.
I was standing in line with my sister and cousin waiting to get on the “Viper”. We were at Six Flags having already been in the long line an hour and a half. We all went on our favorite rides, then we decided to go on the roller-coaster. This was going to be my very first ever roller-coaster in my life. Then the roller coaster conductor told us to get on the coaster. I jumped in, put my seatbelt on and listened to the safety precautions. Then the conductor pressed the button and we were off.
A Beautiful Day at Six Flags Either you run the day or the day runs you-Jim Rohn. This whole day to learn. It was a Beautiful August day my family decides to go to six flags. We went to go see if my friend, Weston, and Ellie's friend, Hope could come too. Weston was eleven, I was twelve, my sister was mine, and Hope was nine too. Turns out they were able to come and their mom came with us too. We drove for one hour and thirty minutes to get to six flags. We had to walk a long way to even get into line. When we finally got in line, In took us two minutes to get in because we had a stroller and went into that line which is always faster than if you do not have a stroller. As soon as we got into the park, We all bolted straight for Raging Bull. When we got there, we had to wait in line for about twenty minutes. When we finally got up to the ride, we got on with the girls. The parents went off talking and told us to check in when we were done with the ride. We all went on the ride the first time, we had a challenge for us and the girls. It was to not hang on to any part of the roller coaster for the whole time. and enjoyed it so much we managed to sneak on the ride again. We all filled in the empty seats. We did this another six more times. In total for that moment, we went on that ride seven times. We gathered everyone up and started to walk down from the ride. We were all talking about how crazy that was that we were able to get on that ride seven times. When we were at the
On October 28th, 2017 my mother said “here” and gave me $30. “What’s this for?” I asked. “$10 is for lunch and the other $20 is for you to go to Six Flags with your friends (Keion Flenoid, Kamaurion Stokes, and Kelly Dang.) after your chess tournament.” The next morning, my mother took me to my chess tournament where me and my team (Gateway Middle Chess club) placed fourth in the tournament.
My artifact that shows my success is a cheer trophy that my team and I won in Vegas at a competition. The trophy is significant to me because it took a lot of hard work for our team to perform at this competition. Our team has never worked together so well and had more dedication than ever because that first place trophy is something we all wanted.
One summer, my friends thought it would be a great idea to go to Six Flags. Me, I thought it was a dreadful idea. I don’t like rollercoasters at all, so I found no point in wanting to go. But, they insisted I go with the group for fun. So, here I was, scared of rollercoasters and on my way to Six Flags. Go figure.
lunging 230 ft., my legs about to snap from the opposing force of gravity I ask myself why. Why did I ride this moronic ride? Six Flags, a place where the aroma of waffle cones or turkey legs, the size of small children, waver through the blacktop roads. A place where kids of many ages run around with overpriced capes and teen employees know nothing about roller coasters and how they operate.
I was woken up with mom at the foot of my bed saying “Wake up sweetheart wake up” it is a beautiful day in Canada witch is where I live. As I get the gunk out of my eyes so I could so my mother clearly and I ask her what was wrong because she had never woke me up at 5:45 in the morning with out it being bad or something happened to the family. I got scared and my father, sister, and brother came into my room and was saying.“Calm down your going to be okay just pack your clothes, some of your personal items, and some food NOT caned food". Next I was getting ready and Carter my brother came into my room witch he had never done and told me him and dad would protect Kelsey, mom, and myself. As I walked into the kitchen we all picked different kinds of food and water. We started walking out the door and I said "Wait I need my picture of all my friends so i would remember them"so I went and got it.
Working as an event coordinator at Six Flags Magic Mountain, I get to meet a lot of new people. I host corporate and private events for business and families. My job keeps me entertained. I remember one day being at work and I was hosting a picnic for a company with over 200 employees. I was doing my normal walk through of the picnic area. I like to walk the entire area to make sure all my guests are enjoying themselves. I had made my way to the back area where the basketball court is located. I noticed there was a young pre-teen male, who looked about 12 years old. His behavior was usual for an atypical developing individual. He was jumping up and down in a circular motion. Other guests were uncomfortable and asked me to call security to have
We had to make a safe, but thrilling, roller coaster for Six Flags Great Adventure. We had to sell the idea to the top engineers. We made a roller coaster that was safe, and fun at the same time. We put toilet paper rolls over the track so the marble won’t fall out. We also put toilet paper rolls where there’s a possibility for the marble to come flying out. We added a loop and a sharp turn, which ends with tape slowing the marble down to a complete stop at the end. Our prototype was successful because the marble made it to the end. All we had to add was toilet paper rolls in places where it would fall out, and put the sharp turn under the meter stick instead of over it. We made the ending slower so the marble doesn’t crash into the cup. This
On Friday of April 21 ,2017 I went to disneyland for a school field trip , all the students in the middle school band and color guard went on this field trip for a performance at disneyland .It was my 8th grade year , it would be my last year performing at disneyland so I had to enjoy it . We had to meet up at school at 3:30 am because disneyland is located in Anaheim Ca. and it would take us several hours to get there .Also the teachers wanted us to be there early because they would have to take roll call to know if everyone made it on time, and we would leave the school at 4:00 am . We got on the buses , we knew it was going to be a long rides so the teachers decided to rent us a charter bus the good thing was that we have had enough fundraiser to be able to go on a charter bus.The teachers said we would only have one stop during the whole the long bus ride and that was only going to be for us to go to the bathroom and to get some breakfast before we actually got to disneyland .After everyone went to the bathroom and got breakfast we got in the buses and started driving again. We had about 2 hours until we got the park .
As my eyes lit up like the fourth of July, I stood with my feet stuck to the ground, and my nerves tingle with happiness because of how marvelous it was. I didn't know a Mexico resort could be so nice.
