Everyone has their own unique personality. Everyone is different, but certain parts of our personality can be analyzed and categorized. Our different interests help decide our true personality, these personalities can help determine and choose our career path and what we will be doing for the rest of our lives. My personality test and my interest survey helped me decide to become a detective because it stated what I am good at and how I interact with people on a regular basis, this helped because it showed my different mannerisms and what type of environment I would work best in. I need to be 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and a clean record. In high school I need to stay out of trouble and taking a course in psychology would greatly improve my abilities. To move up the chain of command faster I would need a degree in criminal justice and law enforcement. I would have to go to the police academy and take classes in civil rights, state and local laws, incident reporting, crime investigation, constitutional law, and criminal psych. Experience, good habits, and a well-informed mind will aid me to succeed in this career. I also have some personal weaknesses that will stem my ability to reach my full potential. For example my queasiness around blood, my ability to see more good in people then wrong, my problem with respecting people who do not deserve it, and me being overly nice to everyone. To pursue this career I will need to do three things, stay out of trouble, maintain my good grades, and stay fit. When I start this career I will have three goals, capture as many criminals as possible, being promoted to commissioner, and change people’s views on authority and the way the “system”
