Thank you for this National Honor Society opportunity. I feel extremely privileged. And, I think my qualifications include strong work ethic, drive, a high standard of academic integrity, and a calling to service and leadership in my community.

Within this role, I become responsible with the organization of musical activities, such as Dessert Theater, Falcon Follies, and the Cakewalk; leaving me to have constant access to the public and their desires. Within this position, I assume a role on the Coudersport Borough Authority, and have certain activities I can and cannot do as a minor member of the Council. Through this position, I hear and compile the public’s opinion on individual happenings within our community; mainly the Arboretum, the status of our pool, the development of levees, and the Epiphany Plan (enter what the Epiphany Plan is here). I also act as a direct link to the Borough Council and the school, as well as the public. So far, I have begun to update the Borough Council’s website to become newer and easily accessible by the public, as well as other projects I will complete in the summer. All of these positions and participation in these clubs have given me necessary skills to use in everyday life, and as a leader. Some skills that I have acquired, are:
-Patience
-Organization
-Maturity
-Humility
-Accountability
In relation to activities elsewhere, I have completed many hours towards our light system in the Auditorium, as I am the only student in the school trained to use this technology, showing responsibility, I have provided this talent towards multiple school and community functions, including:
-Xanadu (2018, 6th grade musical)
-Wizard of Oz (2018, High School Musical)
-Falcon Follies (2018)
-Annie (2017, 6th grade musical)
-School Assemblies
The four pillars of National Honor Society (NHS) include scholarship, service, leadership, and character. I have already received this application opportunity due to meeting the requirements of the scholarship portion of NHS, which requires a strong commitment to learning and putting effort towards achieving high grades in the classroom. I intend to benefit the remaining three pillars of service, leadership, and character through my willingness to work for others free of reward, initiative to lead my peers, and optimal decision making.
I am privileged to be one of the remarkable students qualified to join Eureka High School’s National Honor Society. I have been looking forward to applying to this organization as it provides influential help in our society. I would be privileged to join this distinguished association because it would provide me with opportunities to get involved in my community. As a hardworking, helpful, and friendly individual, I feel that I would make an auxiliary member to this organization. I demonstrate the qualities that are necessary to join this prestigious society, including leadership, character, scholarship, and service.
It is an honor to be chosen as a candidate for membership in the National Honor Society. Academics, leadership skills, service abilities, and character are four principal parts of a superior student. I believe that I am inclusive of all these aspects needed to become a part of this prestigious group. Becoming a member of this organization is important to me, because it will help me get into an excellent college and push me to work harder in school.
I am honored to be among the commendable students whom are being considered to be a part of such a prestigious organization, The National Honor Society. I have been wanting to be a part of this organization the second I stepped into this school. Of course I have worked vigorously for it, there has not been one year here at Lone Star where I have not been in less than 3 Pre-AP or AP classes with averages frequently resulting in an A. I work hard everyday and night in order to ensure my success now and in the future. National Honor Society is an exceptional group brimmed with bright young men and women who create the world of tomorrow. I, Jadzia Sanchez, Class of 2017, yearn to be a part of such a group. I have been a part of theatre in both middle school and high school, I am a very active thespian and have branched out by joining acting classes outside of school.
I have been raised on a dairy farm and my mom was also grew up on a dairy farm. My stepdad is a fourth generation dairy farmer and together my parents have taught me the sacrifice and hard work that goes into a farmer’s life. I am thankful for the privilege I have had in growing up on a farm and I want to help educate community members on the significance of our day to day dairy farmers and their contributions to society.
Acceptance into the National Honor Society of Petrides would be a great honor for me. The National Honor Society in Petrides will allow me to connect with likeminded people in the school who have portrayed similar scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship as I have. I have shown my leadership qualities through school events and volunteer work. Service to the school is one of biggest focus of the National Honor Society which I have always been content to participate in. The three amazing years at Petrides, I have served the school by aiding and tutoring students that have needed help academically; while participating in school events and teams showing school pride.
Scholarship, leadership, character and service are all characteristics found in a National Honor Society member. I believe that I possess all of these characteristics and should be given the honor of receiving this NHS scholarship.
I am truly humbled and honored to be selected amongst the top students in my graduating class and I am excited to be given the opportunity to represent Gateway High School in our chapter of National Honor Society. I firmly believe that I posses traits that fulfill the pillars of NHS: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. Scholarship in my eyes is the ability to excel at high level educational studies. As a student, I strive for excellence in every way I can. I have taken a variety of AP and Honors classes during my time in high school, and I am proud to say that I have found myself on High Honor Roll on each report card I have received. I have been able to maintain a 3.85 GPA through two and a half years of school. Aside from school,
I have provided this talent towards multiple school and community functions, including musicals, and various out of school commitments. Additionally, I have created artwork to be auctioned off during the Black Forest Club raffle, and painted a mural for the Sinnamahoning Nature Center.
I am honored to be among the many students who are being considered for the National Honor Society. I believe that this organization does amazing things not just for the students at Harrison Community Schools but for everyone in the community and the surrounding communities. I hope to be a part of furthering the impressions that this organization has set among the public. I strive to be apart of NHS and the positive changes they inflict on many lives because I have worked hard to get to this point. Leadership, Character and Service have brought me far in life therefore they are my strength to evolve into positive changes that better everyone.
I believe that I would be a good representative for the National Junior Honor Society because I represent the five qualities of a member of the organization: scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. I have leadership skills from programs like Girl Scouts, softball, and Student Council. I’ve volunteered in many service projects including Christmas bags for foster children, playing piano at a hospice center, volunteering at a food bank, teaching brownies (2nd to 3rd graders) how to camp at a Girl Scout camp, passing out flowers to rooms in a hospice center, and passing out care packages to the homeless. I have amazing citizenship skills such as following rules and laws in not only the classroom but in my community, teaching
I am greatly honored of having the opportunity of applying to the National Honor Society. To most students, National Honor Society is just an extra tassel on graduation day, but to me, I see it as an introduction to our future. I have been looking forward to joining this prestigious organization since the beginning of freshman year. Throughout this past two scholastic years, I have admired the hard work that the students have done to help the community, and I believe that I can play a part in their hard work in this upcoming year.
I believe I would be a valuable member of the National Junior Honor Society because I meet many of the four pillars, scholarship, service, leadership, and character, which NJHS represents. I partake in many after extra-curricular activities such as, rec soccer, rec cheer leading, TAG, the middle school musical, district band, after school volunteering, and in the student government; service. For leadership I am in the student government for my class. My grades have never been lower than honors, and the previous marking period and this marking period I have retained high honors. I believe that I am a well-rounded person and very encouraging and helpful
I have always found being inducted into National Honor Society (NHS) as great privilege. NHS requires certain qualities to be withheld by the members, and the organization is based on four core elements: character, scholarship, leadership, and service. In order to be inducted, an individual must demonstrate each of these attributes and must continue to exhibit these qualities after induction. This organization has kept me involved with my school and community and has also made me a better person.
National Honor Society members strive to achieve these four qualities, Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. Of these four qualities, I believe Leadership to be the most important quality that one can have. Being a leader means being able to hold responsibility and being able to be a pillar which one can use for support and guidance. I believe that those possessing the leadership skills have the biggest advantage out there in the “real” world. Those with the optimal leadership skills attain skills with ease, skills which can then be used to acquire any job of their choosing. In addition to gaining new skills, being a leader, or possessing such skills, lets one be as creative as they want. Creativity can be used to discover new problems
