In the novel Out of My Mind there are major themes that are portrayed one is acceptance. From the beginning of the novel Melody’s family has to learn to accept Melody for the way she is despite her disease ,cerebral palsy, that is holding her back from doing normal things, like talk and walk. Melody herself also has to come to the realization that she is different from her friends and classmates and throughout the novel even if it's hard at times she has to accept that she's different and continue to live her life. Another message that is portrayed in this novel is that friends and family are important. In the novel Melodies family is very supportive the take care of her by feeding her, dressing her and making sure she's happy all the time
“Mortality had remained a conveniently hypothetical concept, an idea to ponder in the abstract. Sooner or later the divestiture of such a privileged innocence was inevitable, but when it finally happened the shock was magnified by the sheer superfluity of the carnage”
Jeanette Walls- She is the narrator and major character of the story. She is telling her life about her family and how she had overcome things when she was a child. She is a really strong,
In the book Ashfall by Mike Mullin there are many important themes. I am going to write about three of them today. To begin with how love can drive people to go on beyond their limits.as well as family is worth dying for. May claim how the fight for survival forces a person to grow up quickly. All these are important to everyone at some point in their life. Especially family, which is probably the most important.
Out Of The Dust by, Karen Hesse, was a novel about a girl and her family who were surviving the dust bowl. The novel is timed in the great depression and takes place in Oklahoma Panhandle . I think in the 8th grade curriculum Out Of The Dust should Not be in it for many reasons because the way some poems are formatted are hard for some readers to understand. Also some of the poems are intense to read.
In A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle, the theme of love can be your greatest weapon even when you don’t think you need it, it can allow you to save the ones you love, but can also be your greatest enemy when that loved one is taken away causing a series of pain, fear, vulnerability, and self-destruction is revealed. This theme is best illustrated through critical parts of Meg Murry’s journey/discovery of tessering. In the beginning, Meg was a troublesome and depressed girl she always thought lowly of herself also causing a lot of fuss at school mostly because of the result of her father leaving her like when the principal sighed, “Do you enjoy being the most belligerent, uncooperative child in school?” (L’Engle 38). Which illustrates that ever since Meg’s father Mr. Murry left Meg became very

After looking back on all the notes that I have taken on setting and how it relates to the theme in the book Dark Energy written by Robison Wells I have noticed some important themes that have related to the setting. While all of these themes relate to the setting and are good, there are more important themes that I have used. One of the most important themes that is present throughout the entire book is, “we often tell lies or make ourselves look better to be accepted by other people.” I am now just realizing that this is very important to not only the book but in real life. By being who you really are you can impress others and be accepted and there's no need to lie.
Lastly, the main character Raspberry has lots of traits to her personality. She is a strong young African American that goes through many hardships in her life and succeeds in surpassing them. Her mother is also a hard worker. She has to work two jobs to afford to pay for rent and bills.

Deliverance is a brilliant film which may be interpreted in multiple ways depending on the viewer’s perspective. It all depends how viewers perceive certain aspects of the film, producing the theme of the motion picture. It might not always be apparent what the writer, or directors wanted viewers to take from the movie at first, however, when replaying key aspects of the film it becomes that much more obvious what they wanted to be portrayed. Even then it will be hard for all viewers to agree on what the theme or messages the film wants to portray.

He meets his neighbors, and people at the water park. Duncan get a job at the water park They stay at Trent’s, his mom’s boyfriend, beach house. Duncan has a hard time adjusting to his new family so the tension is high. I believe the theme of “The Way Way Back” is about family not being limited to blood.
