My obstacle that i had to overcome proves many things about my def of an obstacle which is ‘‘An obstacle is something that you have to overcome in your life.’’ Having to deal with an obstacle like mine which is having to move to a different city is really something that is a thing you have to overcom in life. I had to make new friend, meet new people, and pretty much have to start miy life all over again because i wont know anything about the city i would be moving to. Having to start over in your life is a big obstacle to overcome and it made my life very hard until i met one of my best friends that i will talk abou later in my story. My def of an obstacle will soon be proven when you read the rest of my life story. I used to live in manteca
Throughout a person's life, they are faced with different obstacles, and different challenges of all different types. My life in particular has been full of up and downs used to be related especially towards my social/high school life.Everybody has goals and dreams they set for themselves, but they don't always try to achieve them. People might try to, but they sometimes will have obstacles in their way, stopping them. The only thing to do is overcome the obstacles. I have many obstacles I have to overcome and accomplish in order to achieve this dream. My first obstacle will be to do well in my classes at my highschool and after graduation, apply to college. I know l have to study and work extremely hard to accomplish this goal. Since there
Reflecting on all the times in my life that I have had to overcome obstacles there is a long list of mishaps, lessons learned and many other adventures. The top one of the list is going through US Navy boot camp, which consisted of basically being torn down and built back up. In short you are told that the way you have always learned things from as early age is the wrong way and there is only one way the Navy way.
All task have obstacles along their paths, and there obstacles are what gives the task their value. If a challenge is easy to overcome, and anyone can overcome it, then what use is there in completing it? The overcoming of obstacles is the real learning of the experience, not the act of reaching the finish. As the great martial artist once said, “Success is the journey, not the destination”.
Phillip stated his best part about college is being able to learn, having professors who actually care and being in organizations that are made to help minorities succeed.
Obstacles and disadvantages are a part of life, and will always be there in your path. Some of the hurdles will be bigger than others, and some hardships will be easier than others. Whether it be a chair in your way or something you can't get over, obstacles will be there. The question is not how to avoid snags, but how can you turn the tables on them and have a positivist outcome. Flipping them to benefit you, and others around you to have a better outcome on the situation. There are three ways that I know that can help you achieve this, being optimistic, adding on to your armor, and using them as an advantage.
“They never said it was easy, they said it would be worth it.” This quote means that everything in life is going to be hard; in the end, it will all be worth it. Think about it as a subject at school it may be boring, but it will be worth it in the future. So if you're having a hard time in life this quote can help you, and believe me I was in your shoes one day.
Everyone faces challenges and complications in their life but i strongly feel what is important is what you learn from that obstacle. Throughout my junior year i was dealing with a situation that lead to events that i never thought would happen to me. My mother, father, sisters, and i have been going through some challenges that caused my family to split. It began when my parents divorced and my mother met someone who didn't respect me nor my sisters. I couldn't explain how difficult it was to listen to the negativity that went on in that house. Its hard to wake up and smile knowing you're not welcomed in your own house. My mother agreed with everything he said and he was clearly the king and we had to bow down to him. Eventually i ended up
If everyone could go throughout their entire life without having to face any difficulties, life would be too easy. We, as human beings face many challenges in our lives. We are natural problem solvers. All it takes is the desire to succeed in that which we set out to do. Facing an obstacle can be a trying event, and at times can take a toll on one’s mentality. We have become so content in our lies that any disruption could cause a major ruckus in our life. Take, for instance your job. You might have spent many hard working years at the same job, been a loyal employee, only to lose your job due to a layoff, or shutdown of the job. This becomes a major obstacle in one’s life .How you choose to look at this event varies dependent on one’s state
“If you can’t fly, then run, if you can’t run, then walk, if you can’t walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward”, a renowned statement by Martin Luther King expressing his notion of perseverance. This quote is suitable for all individuals. Upon reflection many of us here today, can relate to this idea to persist and to not stand still as we are faced with obstacles. Personally, myself and family have been faced with hardships, and at times it was difficult to proceed. We have two options: to surrender, and subsist, or to persevere, and truly succeed.
An obstacle is something that blocks one’s way or prevents or hinders progress. Many individuals have faced some type of challenge in their life, which has hindered them from progressing forward. Unfortunately, we can’t prevent these obstacles, for there a part of our everyday lives. But, what we can do is choose how we react to them. Not all obstacles are unpleasant. They force us to dig deep and find strength, and courage in ourselves. An obstacle that I have faced in my life that I am proud to say I have overcome, was my father being deployed several times in my youth. My father is an E8 (MSG) for the U.S Army. He has been serving his country for 19 years. During this time, I had to face multiple obstacles such as, maturing quickly, and
Prior start to exercise, yoga, meditation or eating healthy and clean, I thought about the barriers and challenges that may limit my ability to initiate these actions. In addition, it is important to know the challenges and barriers because it will enable me to understand how I am going to achieve my goal and work hard for it. One of the challenge is to find the time and effort to initiate the action. Physical activity and yoga exercise for instance, for me I enjoy working in group, but I did not have the resources or time to join the gym (no transportation, course-work load, and working on my research). Thus, I decided to sign up for an online personal trainer and the trainer assisted me to incorporate physical activity, meditation and yoga
One obstacle I will face is I constantly stress myself about my grades and getting assignments turned in on time, but the main thing that stresses me is I have a hard time understanding some content in assignments, quizzes, and discussions. The way I will conquer this, is I will talk to my parents or friends about what is stressing me out and see if they can help me with understanding the assignments or discussions, I will also take breaks from what is stressing me to help me calm down. The Second obstacle is I usually procrastinating when it comes to doing something like assignments or studying when I should. I can conquer this by creating a schedule and setting alarms on my phone to remind me to do my assignments, along with reminding myself why I am doing college and telling myself I need to do it to better my future to persuade myself to get up and actually do what I need to do. The third obstacle I have to face is lack of college prep education, this is because I never went to high school so I was unable to take college prep courses to prepare me for college.
Obstacles and barriers are in our everyday life. But it is what we do and how we react that helps us grow. Some are small causing short disarray while others might change a person’s life. In my short seventeen years, I have found the most difficult obstacle I have had to encounter was my parents divorce. I was mere 10 years old when my parents separated. It definitely took a toll on me. Often times I felt cold, alone, and broken. My mother scooped me up and put me back together. Having my mom play the role of both a mother and father really opened my eyes. Growing up, I would see my mom break her back just to give us, her children, food, clothes, and a roof over our heads. But even when times would be so tough there was one thing that never
Overcoming an obstacle. That is a very powerful phrase. People are faced with many many obstacles everyday of their lives. There are many different ways to deal with the obstacles that come into your life. A person must have a strong mind to process the problems. Not everyone can handle what hand life deals them.
Overcoming an obstacle can be easy as resolving a fight, or as hard as climbing Mount Everest. Everyone faces obstacles in their daily lives. Some put their obstacles to the side and decide they will cross that bridge when they come to it. Others charge head on at their obstacles and defeat them. I have my own approach that is lengthy, but effective. Though I am still young, I have faced obstacles and will continue to face them.
