I don’t know how to start this, but I believe that everyone in life at least goes through one sort of form of an obstacle. An obstacle I face in life right now would have to be the fact that my grandma is working her butt off just so she can keep her family alive. The only reason why this bothers me is because I can’t do anything about it. Like I want to help by working, but I’m only 14 and still have two more years until I can get a part time job. Since, I’ve been a little kid, I always admired my grandma. She was my role model. She taught me that in life nothing is easy and that you have to work very hard for the things you want in life. She left her family just so my mom and I would have a better life than she did. I know this is how
Throughout a person's life, they are faced with different obstacles, and different challenges of all different types. My life in particular has been full of up and downs used to be related especially towards my social/high school life.Everybody has goals and dreams they set for themselves, but they don't always try to achieve them. People might try to, but they sometimes will have obstacles in their way, stopping them. The only thing to do is overcome the obstacles. I have many obstacles I have to overcome and accomplish in order to achieve this dream. My first obstacle will be to do well in my classes at my highschool and after graduation, apply to college. I know l have to study and work extremely hard to accomplish this goal. Since there
Life is full of obstacles and everyone goes through different problems. There are two possible outcomes to every problem: one is success and the other is failure. Often times, people face failure and just give up on that challenge. Others use that failure and work hard to reach success. As for me, I did face failure but that did not stop me from climbing over obstacles and persevering in the face of challenge and adversity.
The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?
My definition of obstacle fits into what i went through because breaking my leg caused an emotional obstacle as well as physical. Emotionally it was an obstacle because it meant i was staying inside more and going out and about would be exhausting. Beginning to walk again was exciting but frustrating because the exhaustion. Physically i couldn’t run and the healing process was difficult. This obstacle helped me learn new lessons and grow as a person.
Benjamin Disraeli once said, “There is no education like adversity,” a quote that resonates well with me. Through twelve years of schooling, countless advanced classes, and learning opportunities, I would consider myself well-educated; in reality nothing has prepared me for life as much as my biggest obstacle. Two weeks, vital time for a developing fetus. However, what happens without those last two weeks? In my case I was still developing my final touches, the consequence being bilateral hearing loss.
If everyone could go throughout their entire life without having to face any difficulties, life would be too easy. We, as human beings face many challenges in our lives. We are natural problem solvers. All it takes is the desire to succeed in that which we set out to do. Facing an obstacle can be a trying event, and at times can take a toll on one’s mentality. We have become so content in our lies that any disruption could cause a major ruckus in our life. Take, for instance your job. You might have spent many hard working years at the same job, been a loyal employee, only to lose your job due to a layoff, or shutdown of the job. This becomes a major obstacle in one’s life .How you choose to look at this event varies dependent on one’s state
“If you can’t fly, then run, if you can’t run, then walk, if you can’t walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward”, a renowned statement by Martin Luther King expressing his notion of perseverance. This quote is suitable for all individuals. Upon reflection many of us here today, can relate to this idea to persist and to not stand still as we are faced with obstacles. Personally, myself and family have been faced with hardships, and at times it was difficult to proceed. We have two options: to surrender, and subsist, or to persevere, and truly succeed.
I think, thing, things, very, all just, am, me, because, many, small, see, make, hard, do, mean, more, you, some, Someone, think, use, everyone, like, we, is, part, new, try, are, important, change, about, guy, but, kid, actually
People are proposed with obstacles in their lives every day. Each day is not meant to be easy. An obstacle is something that hinders progress. It can be beneficial by helping someone realize what they need to do to overcome it so that they can reach their desired goal in life or be disastrous if left alone. Academic obstacles is a circumstance in which I have to overcome. This is an obstacle that I struggle with every school day. Juggling each class and extracurricular activities so that I can manage my time to do what is needed.
“Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character.” Every once and awhile we will get our boots stuck in the challenges that we will have to trudge through to become stronger. Truly, we don't grow when things are easy or non-chaotic, rather we sprout into a growing tree when there is a rain storm. Life throws us overboard at every twist and turn so we have to batten down the hatches. Not only that, but we also seem to fall deeper into a bottomless pit when we attempt to take the shorter path. Overall, we have all faced challenges within our life, whether from a problem at home, to losing a soccer game. A maze that is endless, quick sand that swallows you whole; can both describe a challenge.
Do you think the Olympics are cool? Olympic athletes push the limits of a normal human body. What if the Olympic athletes were missing crucial body parts; like a limb, their ability to walk or the vision. That would make there job impossible right? Wrong! There are people who are missing limbs, are in wheelchairs, and can’t see pushing limits. They are showing society that they don't want piety they want equality. The ad shows the athletes as strong- not broken, through the music and video clips of the athletes on and off the field.
One obstacle I will face is I constantly stress myself about my grades and getting assignments turned in on time, but the main thing that stresses me is I have a hard time understanding some content in assignments, quizzes, and discussions. The way I will conquer this, is I will talk to my parents or friends about what is stressing me out and see if they can help me with understanding the assignments or discussions, I will also take breaks from what is stressing me to help me calm down. The Second obstacle is I usually procrastinating when it comes to doing something like assignments or studying when I should. I can conquer this by creating a schedule and setting alarms on my phone to remind me to do my assignments, along with reminding myself why I am doing college and telling myself I need to do it to better my future to persuade myself to get up and actually do what I need to do. The third obstacle I have to face is lack of college prep education, this is because I never went to high school so I was unable to take college prep courses to prepare me for college.
Throughout life, many individuals encounter things in their life that they find difficult to overcome. Many of which overcome such obstacles quickly, while others fail to overcome them at all or at least it takes them a much longer time to do so. I fall into the third type of individual.
Obstacles can either make us or break us. There any many situations where you have to think about if the obstacle can be overcome ,or not. Two of the main ones are with choosing a college ,or even when you’re in a relationship. Now the way you try ,and go over those obstacles is the tricky part.
The art of overcoming an obstacle is not always an easy one. People face obstacles every day. It is how they overcome those obstacles gauges how resilient that person is (Harrington, 2012). How can a person become more resilient and become better at overcoming obstacles? Emotional, social, family and spiritual elements are factors in resiliency (Harrington, 2012). The controlling of ones emotions while dealing with an obstacle will help in the overcoming of said obstacle.
