Her missionary that she founded has impacted over 123 countries around the globe and has kept growing even after her death. Many people have reported Mother Teresa impacting their lives in a large way by her actions throughout her life and her selfless ways. She devoted her whole life to bettering people's lives. Mother Teresa has even said that “rewards were important only if they would help her work for the helpless.” (Pg 4. Buzzle article) She hasn’t had just a small impact on the world, she has impacted so many people's lives that Mother Teresa was declared a saint two years after her death. Mother Teresa is very deserving of the title saint because of her relief
Throughout her speech, Mother Teresa implemented her personal experiences to establish and maintain her credibility. She recalls an experience she had at what would have been an institution similar to a nursing home. The parents that she visited had seemed forgotten as their sons and daughters rarely visited. Mother Teresa recalls, “And I went there, and I saw in that home they had everything, beautiful things, but everybody was looking toward the door. And I did not see a single one with their smile on their face”, which demonstrated how peace was stolen from this family. She continues to reference her experience in that institution as she explains that she questioned how they weren’t smiling and she comes to the conclusion, “ This is nearly every day, they are expecting, they are hoping a son or daughter will come to visit them. They are hurt because they are forgotten, and see- this is where love comes. That poverty comes right there in our own home, even neglect to love”, this quote continues to demonstrate how peace comes from our own homes. She used her personal experience to gain trust within her audience. Sharing this experience allowed her audience to see what she is basing her thoughts and feelings off of and it allows her audience to feel those same emotions. She used words such as neglect and forgotten to transfer the feelings she had in the situation onto her audience. The impact of her vocabulary further developed her personal experiences and helped Mother
It was September the 10th, 1964 and World war 2 had only just come to a conclusion. Mother Teresa sat on a piping hot train, on a hot summers day in Calcutta. She tried taking up as little space as possible to avoid being crowded which she was to a great extent and deeply swelter. She was on a train from Calcutta to the Himalayan foothills for a retreat. On this train ride Christ spoke to Mother Teresa. She referred to this as 'her second calling' and in her words it was 'a vocation to give up, even at Loreto where I was very happy, to go out into the streets to serve'. "I want Indian Nuns, Missionaries of Charity, who would be my fire of love amongst the poor, the sick, the dying and the little children," she heard Christ say to her on the train in those very words. "You are I know the most incapable person - weak and sinful but just because you are that'- I want to use you for my glory. Wilt thou refuse?". A sensation of happiness rushed through her, even though she had been called weak she was honoured. She was very quick to share her vision with her supporters, friends and members of the Loreto sisters that she worked with. She was questioned about her call, and all the intentions and aims she had for doing it.
Maria Theresa was born in Vienna, Austria at the Hofburg Palace on May 13, 1717 and was the second child and eldest daughter of Charles VI, who was the Holy Roman Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and his wife, Elisabeth Christine of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. Since Charles VI was the last remaining male heir to the Habsburg throne as his only son and sole male heir and Maria Theresa eldest brother died shortly before Maria was born. So Charles VI reformed the Salic Law, which prevented any heir who were female to succeed her father as Charles VI feared that he might not produce a son. In 1713 Charles VI issued the Pragmatic Sanction, which ensure his eldest daughter the right to take over and succeed the throne and inherit his united lands when he died. During 1720 Charles VI worked endlessly to earn supports for the Pragmatic sanction from his crown lands and over time they reluctantly agreed to honor and uphold the sanction.
This lead her to follow God’s will, and become a teacher at St Mary’s school, and later become the principle of this school. At the school Mother Teresa, taught history, english and a couple of other subjects to teach the children at the schools. She loved the kids as if they were her own, and equally. Mother Teresa’s second calling was the call to care for the people in the slums of Calcutta, but to do so she needed permission from her superiors, as at this stage Mother Teresa was the principle at St Mary’s. In the following year, Mother Teresa began her work which obeyed God’s call fro her to look after the poor, sick and dying in the streets. Through many difficulties, Mother Teresa obeyed and followed the work which God led her to do, her lives work, and influenced her into making these decisions. The vow of obedience, influence Mother Teresa greatly, in following orders from superiors, and God himself. As said by Mother Teresa, “…by faith, I am catholic. As to my calling, I belong to the world…”, her calling brought her closer to the world, and the calling itself influenced the work which Mother Teresa is known of doing.
Saint Teresa has many qualities to admire and emulate. Even though she may have struggled with her faith, in the beginning, her devotion to God stayed true till the end. She encountered problems at every turn, but she fought for what she believed was right. She trusted in Jesus, knowing that the path ahead of her would cost many sacrifices. God stood by her side through may of her obstacles. Teresa of Jesus is a great example of the Catholic I aspire to become. As Teresa wrote in Interior Castle, “God's will is that no bounds should be set to His

Saint Mother Teresa de Calcutta is a saint because of all the work she did to help the poor and suffering, trying to make things better for them all. Her relationship with Jesus and God was very close I believe since she became a nun and joined the convent, she also mentioned how it was her calling from God to help the poor. I chose Saint Teresa de Calcutta as my saint because her life story is extremely inspiring to me, she devoted her life to God in which she became a nun and also helped the poor and suffering, which I truly admire about her. I want my life to be like Saint Mother Teresa de Calcutta by two things, I want to devote my life to God and serve him in which I become a nun or the way he wants me to serve him. Another thing I feel like I want my life to be is how Saint Teresa de Calcutta helped the poor which is something I want to do in a third world country like she did and spend my life doing that. One quality I would like to have from my saint is courage, she left her home very young which was very courageous of her and very brave. Saint Teresa de Calcutta also had courage when she decided to leave Ireland to help the poor in India, which is why I admire her so very much, she is my
Mother Teresa Calcutta lived in a time of famine for her country. She left her convent and decided to create a religious community of her own. She helped as many people as much as she could, with no regard for her own health. She even helped people with terrible diseases, like
One main question is being did she apply altruistic way too much in her life that she didn’t care much about her? Mother Teresa was “deeply involved” (____) with the churches. As stated before she dedicated herself to the people in need for example “alleviating the girls in poverty though education,” (____) she opened her doors to care for people that were infected with HIV/AID, this list can keep on going but this are just a few example. People describes Mother Teresa as “generous dispenser of divine mercy” (____) which means that she did what she could to help the community. This got to the point that she was called “Saint Teresa” (____), after she died she remained in the spotlight of the whole
The first reason is because Teresa’s mother had taken sertraline for several years for depression. As discussed in class a patient is likely to respond to the same antidepressant that a primary first-degree relative has taken.
In doing this she gave love and respect to the poor individuals who needed it. Mother Teresa slowly expanded the educational work throughout the world, at one point running nine elementary schools in Calcutta. They also opened a home for orphans and abandoned children in India. Mother Teresa is, therefore, a wonderful example of a person giving respect and she is also a person this entire community can admire, as she truly did live a life that respected and honoured Christ. Like Christ, she showed respect for all people, no matter what their story was, and always maintained their dignity and gave them respect. Conservatives within the Catholic Church use Mother Teresa as a symbol of traditional religious values that they felt lacking in their churches. Mother Teresa is an amazing inspiration and universally respected to people all over the world, even after her death, her legacy still carries on to this day. Orphanages, schools, and shelters have been placed in honour of her selfless acts. Mother Teresa witnessed her nuns ministering to Jesus and realised the difference that she had made among others. People everywhere, regardless of race, gender, and age can be a part of something special just as Mother Teresa was. Whether it is something small such as donating clothes, or volunteering at a soup kitchen, or something big such as traveling to a third world country to do

Mother Teresa ensured a powerful and positive legacy that will
