Broken bones? No? I have plenty to go around. There have been many occasions where I’ve hurt myself and ninety percent of them were really dumb. I’m dumb sometimes but I never thought I could be so stupid. I had just finished eating and I was waiting for my favorite show to come on. It was the last round and and favorite person was still in the game. I have hoping and praying they would win. Jumping up and down and up and down and BOOM! … I, being the cluts I am,fell off the couch. The pain was indescribable. My parents and my brothers all doubted everything I said and shut me down quick. We had shown up to Children’s Hospital and my mom said quietly, “ Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.” The waiting room was so
A couple of years ago, one night, I was about to propose to my girlfriend before an nfl game tbh, when my roommate Joseph barged into the room out of nowhere, tripped and fell over, breaking a glass table with his face. Totally ruined the mood. Now, I didn't know Joseph THAT well, don't even remember where he was from, but let' just say I put my plans on hold to help him through his injuries.Joseph had gotten a big glass shard in his eye, making him completely blind in that eye. He was walking around with one of those cotton pads on his eye for a couple of months. Then suddenly, he disappeared, along with my girlfriend .Apparently they'd bonded during the time after his injuries, and eloped together , left me behind without as much as a note.
An interesting event occurred early Saturday morning near the town square in Pittman County. A tractor tire exploded and blew a man onto the top of a Standard Oil sign. The man’s name will be kept anonymous to protect his identity, and we are happy to report that the man is alive, although he attained some injuries, and it is possible that he will have permanent damage to his hearing.
So I was talking to my friend Ryker on 5th street the same street I live on when out of the blue I heard B OOM.one of my brother and sister daycare provider gave me ride to where the sound was coming from. I asked him what was going on he responded “if you heard that crash that was your cousin hit van” I replied by saying “her breaks weren’t working that well an…” he stopped me “you were watching her” I responded back by say “I told her not to RIDE DOWN HILL. But she didn’t listen to me and I knew something like that happen if she didn’t listen to me” replied “should of told your papa” I said “I know”.
It hurt to walk as I stepped into physical therapy on that spring morning. I was coming into here for my second round of physical therap. I thought I had healed up the first thirteen weeks I had gone to physical therapy a year earlier, but three years later, I had still felt pain. I still can recite every detail on how I got here. I was at one of my gymnastics meets way back in 2012.
Since I was five, I knew that I wanted to be a doctor of some sort, so I started to prepare myself for medical school. I volunteered at one of the local hospitals, joined clubs that were specific to the medical field, shadowed different professions in the medical field yet, in all those experiences, I had never heard of osteopathy. I had no clue that osteopathic medicine existed until I saw an osteopathic school at a college fair. The admissions women and I had a conversation about medical school, and she suggested an osteopathic route instead. She gave me a pamphlet and when I went home, I tossed it out. To be honest, I thought that osteopathy was for people who could not get accepted into medical school. Osteopathy lingered around in the
“Courage is being scared to death but, saddling up anyway. –John Wayne.” Back home we live on 300 acres. So riding, and roping, on horses has always been a passion of mine. From the 3rd grade, up until my senior year of high school, I was on a horse. If I did not have class or practice that day.
Her new handler, so to speak, had the fashion sense of a mafia man in the golden era of organized crime. He oozed class from head to toe, the expense of his outfit showing in the subtle details of an expert tailor. From what Sierra knew of the man, the outfit seemed to fit him. A good bit of the city ran through him and the outfit reflected just that, commanding attention and respect from all those who saw it.
Since there aren’t many practicing DO’s in my area, I didn’t have much knowledge about osteopathic medical practice until a friend who was familiar with osteopathic medicine, discussed it with me. After a lot of independent research, I was very interested in the practice of osteopathic medicine. Luckily, I was put in contact with a practicing DO in a rural area near my home. My first experience with a DO was unique from all of my other shadowing opportunities because the level of personalized care each patient received from her was different than any I had ever experienced personally, or while shadowing. It felt so personal, and less business like than any other doctor visits I’ve ever had or witness. She took the time to get to know what was
On November 1, from 9 to 11, I shadowed Cassie Hayes, a Physical Therapist’s Assistant at McCook Therapy & Wellness in Salem, South Dakota. Prior to my shadow date, I made sure I had the proper attire for a job shadow at a physical therapy office: khaki pants and a polo. When it was finally the day of my shadow, I drove myself out to Salem, and with the help of Google Maps, I was able to locate McCook Therapy. The first thing I did when I arrived was I went to the secretary’s desk and filled out a job shadow form that was needed for their company. Then I was introduced to Cassie Hayes, the assistant I would be shadowing, and Adrien Heiter, another PTA at the company. I got the chance to hear about some of things they on a day to day basis and what their jobs were like.
On the day of my grandma’s birthday i was playing on a cement wall when i decided it was time to stop playing. As I started to get off the wall my grandpa started to walk up behind me to scare me. When he did, I slipped of the wall and landed on pieces of metal and barbed wire.
Ouch! Whenever he plays flappy bird he always forcefully chucks me against the wall! Now all I can do is lay here and look smart until I get picked up. Finally he’s coming to pick me up, took him long enough. He picks me up, and then he quickly chucks me on the ground again! Finally, he picks me up and checks that I’m not cracked, maybe he does care! Wait, I’m getting chucked at the ground again, dang it. Man he bought a strong case, I can’t believe I’m not broken yet. Keyword, yet.
A sharp pain drastically moved through the half of the leg that still existed. The muscle spasms that have been coming from my leg have been unbearable lately, I feel like every single time one has passed, a new one comes quicker and is more intense. If you’re wondering, yes I only have one full leg functioning leg, my left leg has an above the knee amputation, and I will never forget how it happened, like it was a reoccurring nightmare, which it was.
When the break started I went home to pack up my things did laundry and tidied up a bit. My mom called because I had her cellular device and asked if we’re on our way. We had a slight conversation and disclosed by telling her I’m leaving. I loaded our things into my car and asked my baby what he wanted to eat before we leave. He didn’t say much so I bought him Mc Donald’s just in case he gets hungry. After I ordered his meal we headed out to the highway and drove to Loon Lake. We arrived at my mom’s; she was outside cleaning her yard. My baby had a jolt of excitement that he tried opening the door. He must’ve been excited because she was outside his way of saying I get to stay outside with grandma. I unloaded our bags from my car and unpacked
Two years ago I broke my clavicle, I bruised my right foot and bruised my knee in one football season. I was injured for four months, but did I stop? No. I kept playing and I am still enjoying every minute of the game.
I only tell you about this, so that you know. When you get out of here, the doctors are gonna want to know about your broken bones. And I don't know whether or
