Calum A small shiver traveled up Calum's spine as the wind brushed against his skin. It was a welcoming chill; the kind you can only feel from the air on a Spring morning. A cold that contrasted the heat of his body, but did not overtake it. Calum liked the feeling of breathing in the morning air, but that pleasure was taken from his lungs when his fingers met his lips. Instead of the sweet fresh air, he was breathing in death, wondering when it would come. Smoking was calming to him. When the entirety of his focus was on that one cigarette, everything else escaped his mind, and for a few minutes the only pain he felt was the dull burn of the cigarette. His whole body was numb. The world around him was nothing but a void, and then hands
The night was another quiet one , the morning even more quiet . No more family sit downs at the table , just coffee brewed from whoever wakes up first and help yourself to breakfast. I sat outside the porch with my coffee , first day of October with the fall feeling in the air , I was looking at nothing , I pulled out my cell phone and decided it was time to tell Trever my input on who is doing this. I heard his phone ringing , but it went straight to voice mail , I left a long message explaining everything , hoping this will get him to look into her.
It is true in life that everything happens for a reason. It is also true to say that sometimes it is all about being in the right place, at the right time. There was never a more prominent example of this than a traumatic summers evening, only a few years ago.
I noticed it was getting harder to finish assembling my gun; I was losing the outside light. The sun was already setting, even though it was just after three. I remembered when I had gone to Middle School, during winter, of having to walk through Arkham's icy atmosphere instead relaxing in the warm luxury of riding in the car, which we'd sold to defray, in part, another of the old man's expeditions, this time to Nepal in search of the legendary Plateau of Leng. Such dangerous destinations meant nothing to me at the tender age of thirteen, of course, except in that I could no longer bask in the warmth of the Nexus's heater. The Eastern horizon would be barely beginning to lighten by the time I reached the gate. I got home just after
Roy was invited to a party because he was symphony pianist. Roy attended a ceremony and was returning from the bathroom. He stopped by the giant cannon and began to light a cigar. Suddenly he heard a pop. So loud, so strong. He heard everything as he collapsed, and instantly after the world went quiet. Time felt lost and Roy felt abandoned.
It was just the beginning of February. The winter cold, brutal, and yet normal for the people living in Michigan. My best friend Brian, his uncle Craig, and I were driving back together from Craig’s up north cottage. Brian and I were riding passenger with Craig in his Chevy Silverado pick-up. We were coming back from the annual Perchville Polar Bear Plunge that took place in Tawas, Michigan. A lot was on my mind since it was the second semester of my senior year, and graduation was right around the corner. I had no idea what I wanted to do, or where my future would take me.
I wake up to a red blaring light haunting my face. As I start to regain my vision, I see a contraption of some-sort, wires, buttons and the salience of the contraption, the display. The display is made of red digital lights and a steel frame. A stale 60 is written on the display. I look around the room and it's an eerie white colour, it's empty and bleak. I assume it's a white void, It leads to nowhere as the door must be seamlessly integrated into the wall. Then on the corner of my eye, I see a body. I assume it's a female as it's long silky blonde hair fills a fourth of the room. She's wearing a puffy grey jumper and black jeans with strands of fabric hanging out. From my angle, she looks dead, but I want to inspect her body. I creep towards it, realising this floor doesn't creak like home. I proceed cautiously. As I
I hear noises coming from my room, I walk upstairs and see that the door is closed, I peer in, “I don’t know where Donnie is my lord”, Sarah talks into a silver flip up transmitter, “find him, I need him alive” Bob says angrily. I shut the door, but it made a loud sound, Sarah looks over and thinks, oh no, my cover is blown. I walk out to the backyard and stand facing the back fence looking out onto the ocean, thinking how did I miss that she is a cleaner? A few minutes later Sarah comes out and stands next to me, “you had me going when you told me about your dream yesterday” I said, “How can I trust you now?” I continue. “Yes it’s true, I am a cleaner” she admits, “I was going to tell you, I swear Donnie”, “when? Right before you kill me” I asked. “The truth is, I don’t want to be a cleaner anymore, I hate it” she starts to tear up, “and then I met you, and thought my life could be different”, “and I’m supposed to believe that?” I asked, “yes” she answers, I look deep into her eyes and see no trace that she is lying “yes it’s true I was supposed to bring you back to Og to be killed, but I fell in love with you the moment I say you”.
“Dover, want some Wendy’s?” Amy stated in a casual pitch. Dover knows his name, so he will give some kind of response, usually, but there was nothing.
There I was ready for my tournament. I was waiting for my mom to come home and take me, I was really scared to go I had butterflies in my stomach. So I went to the kitchen to grab a snack I grabbed a cliff bar and I heard my mom pull up and I put my shoes on grabbed my bow and arrows and I got into the car and we drove off. Then I took out my cliff bar I started to eat it and I felt better. Today was the day I knew we were going to win. When I got there I saw my teammates warming up and they were shooting and I started to warm up. Then I saw the other team arrive and they were huge well according to me. I was really scared not more scared than before. Then we started to shoot I was up first and I hit one bullseye then another then another
t all started when my dad came dashing into my room saying “pack up your things were leaving whenever you are ready”. He planned a surprise father son trip out west to see the Grand Canyon and other National Parks. So I hopped out of my bed with so much excitement and immediately started packing my clothes. We started loading up the car to the max with our tent and suitcases. As soon as we finished, we hit the road. The road trip started out as the perfect father son trip, but that all changed once we hit the eight hour mark and decided to take a break at a rest stop. We were coming out of the building when we saw my dad’s old friend Ted. He was a very short man with long brown hair that came with a scruffy beard in dire need of a trim. He
to learn so many things about his childhood, of moments he held near and dear to his heart. This date couldn’t get any better.
The worst thing that happened to me was when i was in the fifth grade. One day i was at school like a regular day and then after school while is was in after school program and then my brother and sister dad came and picked them up. I was confused when he picked them up because my mom usually picked us all up and that wasn’t until four O’clock and then one of my moms family friend came in and asked to pick me up. When me and brother and sisters where going two opposite directions i asked my moms friend whats going on and he said that he doesn’t know and that my mom just told him to pick me up. When i got home to my mom i seen her in the living room listening to hip-hop music and crying and i can tell she was drinking because i seen two bottles
When I was four years old I had a huge fear of dogs, I woke up on a saturday morning on a hot summer day and went down the stairs and saw that my family had made me a wonderful breakfast. We all ate breakfast together and it was great. After breakfast I started to watch my favorite TV show.
I like the constant movement of passengers coming and going. It's the only place that I don't mind the chaos. Every now and then I'll look through the big glass windows, and watch the planes land and take off.
Well the dream first started out with a bit of a background information scene. I, my mother, my sister, and another guy was in the spare room of my house. My mom was s I sewing or seaming a coat that had army camo on it, it was my crush’s coat. My mom and my sister couldn’t understand how to pronounce the name on the breast pocket. I kept telling them how to say it but the just wouldn’t listen. They turned to the only male in the room and asked him, he told them that I was right. I turned to him and thanked him, he nodded his head. In my mother’s closet sorting clothes and I saw two jackets hanging up in, what was to me, a pool of golden light. One was a heavy winter coat that was army camouflage, I automatically recognized it as the coat my
