I walked around the truck to grab some boxes. My dad was already in working mode, putting all the boxes in the house. I looked at my neighbor's house, that was a little too close to mine. These places didn't believe in privacy or something. I carried boxes to and from the truck. I walked outside to grab another box when I noticed a girl picking up something in the neighbor's yard. Her long auburn hair was pulled into a ponytail. She didn't notice me, or even look my way. She walked into the house, not even looking up.
I was bringing up the boxes to my room when I heard the doorbell ring. My dad answered it and someone started talking. I walked down a few steps to eavesdrop. "-dinner tonight at five?" My dad smiled and agreed. I quietly

She walked ahead of us and guided us to a dining room. A man was lighting the last of the candles when he noticed us. " "Welcome! I made spaghetti for dinner, I hope that's okay." He welcomed us and the girl stood next to him, I'm guessing he was her father. My dad laughed at something he said. "I'm Steve, this is my daughter Aubrey." The girl smiled and my dad introduced us. "I'm Richard, This is Maggie and Dean." I nodded my head towards Steve.
As soon as we sat for dinner Steve spoke up. "How about after dinner the kids can get to know each other and us adults can enjoy some grown-up juice." My dad laughed and agreed. I noticed Aubrey staring daggers at her dad.

I followed Aubrey up to her room. When we got in the first thing I noticed was the black record player in her room. I didn't hear most of what she said. "-favorite song by them?" I looked down at my shirt, "Nightmare. You have any vinyls, or is this just for looks?" I loved music, and I was really hoping that she wasn't one of those girls who buys old stuff for fun. She smiled and pulled out a file box full of records from under her bed. I flipped through them until I found one I liked.
I put the record on the mat and moved the needle. Nirvana's "You Know You're Right" filled up the room. Aubrey hummed along and I looked around her room. I noticed the blue polaroid camera sitting on her desk and ran over to it. "These are frickin cool!" I picked up the camera. I heard laughing and realized I was
“Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous.” Rainsford is an experienced hunter who fell off a yacht, and swam to a nearby Ship Trap Island. Once he got on the island, he found shelter with a deadly General Zaroff. Great fear was then sparked in Rainsford when Zaroff forced him to be hunted in a three-day long game. Thus, Rainsford will most likely never hunt again after suffering through the damaging trauma of the game.
"Yes", Susie said, "It should be really great". She was so polite. I really liked her. I usually like Phoebe's friends when I meet them. Watching the two of them helped me get my mind off of how I was about to face my parents. I was worried about my mom. I really was. I tried not to think of how hysterical she'd get. Phoebe said mom and dad were coming home at around seven o'clock. It was around four o'clock now. Soon enough they'd come home, see me, and deal with me. So, we got off the bus at 72nd street, said goodbye to Susie, and walked home. Phoebe seemed all cheery. Kids don't understand situations like this. I mean, old Phoebe, she did, but I guess she was just really happy to be with me, and that I was home and all.
When we arrived at the house, I stood there for about five seconds before knocking on the door. They didn’t answer at first, so I knocked again, harder, and then saw the handle start to move. My stomach filled with butterflies as I watched the door slowly open. The face that greeted was one of a two year old, and as I looked up I saw her father standing over her.
There was a knock at the door. It was Dad. “Hi, Lyn,” he said, smiling.
It was a fine Sunday Morning. I was about to experience a fun day of baseball. It was a beautiful afternoon for a trip to the ballpark. I could hardly wait to get there to experience all of the fun things. I was with my brother and his girlfriend and my two nephews and me.I got there by car with my brother's girlfriend and me and my nephew. When we got there we went to the park there and played on the playground. Then we headed up to our seats which were all the way at the top ,one of the best seats in the house. I went down to the concession stand and my brother gave me $20 to buy three pops and a small pop for my nephews and me. The guys who comes to you and give you the ice cream and stuff. we got slushies
A saying i've kept to myself is to get back up when knocked down. This saying doesn’t just stand for getting up when literally knocked down but can keep a deeper meaning than what it says as for example being knocked down by a difficult obstacle to overcome and getting up to find a way to get past it and achieving it. Some people may not see this as something important but they don’t think about how getting up after knocked down can be something that can or would have been like a positive outcome into their life and how they are given two choices when knocked down which is to stay down or get back up and continue going forward.
On our way, there I was listening to music through my headphones. I was trying to get myself pumped up for the fight and It was a three-hour drive to Toledo. It felt really because I was listening to music.
I had always assumed that my legs were strong and that I had decent muscle control, however, this thought was proven wrong at the beginning of my junior year in high school due to a detrimental injury. It was the first game of fall league for basketball, and within the first five minutes I had succumbed to an injury. Tearing my ACL and Meniscus has taught me to continue improving on my strength, not let this one injury keep me down, and to keep a positive mindset.
“Life is like a baseball game. When you think a fastball is coming, you gotta be ready to hit the curve.” -Unknown. Baseball is a game, one that is not timed, one that is not rushed either, but is only allowed twenty-seven outs. For some it means everything to them, for some the opposite. Even though it is just a game, the characteristics and necessities that come along with it, is what people don’t understand. Baseball can teach individuals, all ages, the tools they need to help themselves, schooling and their future. Within this comes the aspects of teamwork, self-confidence, and the importance of family.
Once he got home, he greeted his sister Ann. He joined her and their mother at the dinner table. Mother said, “How was work today, dear? I understand you must be hungry. Let us ait a while for your father to come home.”
It was a quiet Friday night, school had been let out, and she sat in her room enshrouded in darkness. The sun had long since set, and the stars twinkled merrily above. Smiling softly, she reached into her pocket and pulled out an mp3 player and some earbuds. The device was old, and it was a wonder the thing still even worked, but then, she didn't have much.
Upon entering the mall I heard a faint echo of rock music from deep inside. Walking through piles of broken glass, avoiding hanging ceiling tiles and strung out junkies, I followed the sound of the music. It was coming from the second floor. I made my way to the broken escalator and climbed it. When I reached the top I couldn’t help but letting out a chuckle, despite my dire circumstances. The source of the music, my meeting place with Wendell, was a Hot Topic. The old kind with the fake gothic wrought iron fence. At least Wendell had a sense of humor. I reached out and pulled the gate open.
The after party was like nothing I had ever experienced before. Mason had parked down the street from Madison’s house, but yet we could already hear the music blaring. I could only imagine how loud the music would be inside the house, my ear drums feared what they were about to experience.
”Honey we are going camping” Mom said. Once everyone was up, we packed our bags and took off. Once we got there I zoomed off to Ashley's campsite to hang out.
For a few minutes, I waited to see if she’d come out. When her sobs showed no sign of subsiding, I
