“Oh, sweetie. I am so sorry. I know you didn’t want anyone to know.” Jane gave her a sweet half smile. “It’s all right. It’s only Em.” Jane looked confused but suddenly realization swept across her face. “I hate to say this but… she was just in here announcing it to her followers.” All the blood drained out of Charlie's face. This couldn’t be happening. No one can know… Charlie bolted out of the cafe. She went sailing past a group of kids she sorta knew, but as she went it seemed as though they flinched and started whispering behind their perfectly manicured hands. She raced through her lobby and up the stairs until she got to her door. Walking through her clean apartment was like a breath of fresh air. She started her routine. Right shoe
On his way home from Baseball, Julian was thinking to himself about what he could do outdoors. Then he gets a perfect idea, "Lets go on a hiking trip and I'll invite some guys too!" Julian then calls some guys from his baseball team, Justin who is very layback and funny. He calls Ricky who is the captain of the baseball team and Jesus (who is called chuy)and he is more of the gentlemen type but if you get him mad, he could probably take out a trailer full of bad guys. Julian decides he'll call them tomorrow, the next day Julian calls Ricky first.
Their faces looked in complete horror; both looking back and forth between me and the body.
Before he opened the door to the ritual room he turned toward Andrew and told him. “And I see that fire in her Mother’s eyes.”
“I don’t understand” She muttered. Her voice was soft, and I realized it was because she didn’t want to cry.
My body felt limp and useless as his hands traced the outline of my arms, making my skin shiver with delight. His fingers felt delicate against my soft skin, and I soon felt my eyes fluttering close as I let myself relax. There was a first time for everything, wasn't there?
Slowly, my feet dragged behind me as I walked through the pouring rain in the streets and in my soaking wet pajamas; I had no recognition of the time that I've been out here but I did know that it was sometime in the dead morning between two and three o'clock. The only thing that I knew was that I was heading back home at a sluggish pace, shaking.
"yeah it's my stupid boyfriend my sister and her ex and my friend Jan," Susan said with a sad look on her face.
When I woke up, Dean's arm was wrapped tightly around me. Dean's breathing was steady, telling me he was asleep. He jerked mindlessly and his breathing sped up rapidly. I could hear his heart pound through his chest and I knew he was having a nightmare. He whispered my name over and over again and his eyes were shut tightly, as if he were in pain.
“Julio come back!” I gasped, “Come on, that’s so cheap. You be stealing my money after I finish soccer practice!”
I could only see darkness, I could feel other puppies blindly bumping into me, but where was my mother? I felt something warm grab my body and gently place me into a crate filled with towels. I could hear a loud noise somewhere close to me, then I felt the warm sensation again and something set me into a bucket filled with water. It felt great on my delicate fur until wind blowed all over me, the loud noise I had heard earlier started again and I was placed back into the bucket with my siblings and mother. Three weeks later. My eyes were opened. I could see my owner's, my mother, and my siblings, life was so full of color.
Chewing excitedly, he stood up, his eyes riveted on the order. “Beautiful,” he purred. “Thank you, Ray. Thank you.”
My breathing stops. My heart is practically beating out of my chest. I take a step up the stairs and align myself to the right of the railing. I pull the knife closer to my chest getting ready to stab the person coming up. I can see the shadow of the person coming up the stairs my body tense, ready to attack. The shadow turns into an outline, then into a man. I count the seconds in my head, closing my eyes, I feel a man's presence. I open my eyes ready to face whatever danger lies until I see a familiar face.
The next morning is relatively normal, except for the fact Mom hadn't spoken a word to me, barely even acknowledged I was there. Being the type of person I am, I took great offense to it. What had I done to get that reaction out of her?
“This is kinda bad…” Callia said while she shot down one of the monsters currently attacking them.
“Oh, last night’s footage where I was wandering around, jumping from cliff to cliff and…oh yeah over hearing some very interesting conversions,” I answer, telling the truth. There’s no point in lying. He’s going to find out sooner or later and sometimes it’s easier just to tell the truth and piss people off at the same time. I even flash a smile up at him.
