“Amarante! I found you!” a voice I knew well drew my attention away for a second, and when I looked back, the girl was gone, leading me to believe I was imaging things. It had been a stressful day with a lot happening at once, and it was about to get worse. I looked behind me and gasped, “Eric!” The boy whose heart I had broken was rushing toward me, distraught. Shock made me go rigid. Thoughts spun through my head, trying to make since of the situation I was put in. I scanned my surroundings quickly, but Hikaru wasn’t anywhere near me. Why did he choose that time to finally listen to me? “What are you doing here?” He reached me, looking nervous, “I need to talk to you.” I frowned and shook my head, beginning to walk away, “No, you shouldn’t be here, and you know that.” I looked over his shoulder, and I felt dread course through me.
