Focusing my mind to the beach, I observed children creating sandcastles, young adults resting on towels, and young couples walking on the shoreline holding hands. Light colored sailboats disappear in the distance. Looking farther, I see dolphins peak out of the water. Their grayish blue
Sitting on the beach 3 years later, I let my pale skin burn to a crisp in hope to bring home a tan that my friends will be envious of. A drip of sweat fell down my cheek and I peered out to the massive waves crashing onto the gentle sand. The overcast clouds reflected a gloomy reflection down onto the waves. I watched as the tide pulled on the sand in different directions. The sand, not being able to resist
It is an amazing thought to think that I am sitting on a beautiful white sand beach in the South Pacific where there are no tourists!
I felt the wind steak across my face. I allowed my hips to follow the rocking movement of his canter. My mind was zoned into what I was doing.
The road is so flat and straight; you can see them coming from a mile away. Six runners flow in arrowhead formation around the Canadian city of Saskatoon. The early November air is still and dry, the sky overcast, and the temperature hovers a bit above freezing, just as predicted.
As the dirt of the ball starts to wads up between my fingers. I knew the time was winding down in we only need a few more points to make this a ball game. I hear the ball bouncing rapidly, and bodies against one another. A girl barrels into me, and I fall to the earth, my bones rattling with the impact.
The wind whips past me furiously, I tell myself not to look down. I do it anyway. I see millions of fans biting their tongues and holding there breath for me. The tightrope sways, and I almost fall, but I regain my balance skillfully. I try to be careful not
I awoken, dazed and confused. Instead of being on the ship as it glide across the sparking sea; I’m on the shore completely covered in sand from head to toe. I looked around my surroundings, from the small insects crawling on the beach to the wild
I walk directly onto the grainy hot sand, my feet submerge into it. I can feel the itchy grains of sand between my toes.
It’s six o’clock in the morning and I’m standing in a wetsuit, holding a fiberglass board, on the soft sand at Jaws in Maui. I’m at one of the most famous beaches in Hawaii and I am here about to surf twelve foot waves. These waves are so powerful that they can crush the body if one falls off a surf board or one can be taken far out into the ocean by the extremely strong rip currents that follow these waves. The loud roar of the waves crashing on the shore with the power of a great white shark filled my ears and all that I could think of was, ‘How am I going to face this mysterious creature?”
Later on, Linda and I, happy together went to the garden to climb trees, eat leafy food, and pursue butterflies in playing field close by a colossal waterway. Linda overwhelmed by this awesome scene started to bounce up with energy. I took Linda by the hand and led her to a serene cow. This animal was enduring out there gnawing some grass. Linda followed it yielded on her stifler, she confronted and chuckled and said stunning!! My educator said the cows, sheep, and goats are ruminants, they eat simply grass. At that moment my only wish was to go to class I thought. At one time in a while, I played with little sheep, they are so dazzling, splendid creatures. Causing a gathering of fun we disregarded time. It was getting dreary, I expressed,
Of course I am, I am that fastest and most talented on the team. I also score all the points for are team. I am basically the whole team. During practice they always do there stupid little kids drills when I am doing mine own thing to make sure that look the best and play the best.
As I walk the vast stretch of beach my bare feet are mesmerized by the miniscule grains of tan colored rocks. With each step I feel my doubts and worries drift away as if a spirit came down and relieved me of them. I can reach down with my ever wanting hands and scoop up a mountain of sand and watch it in awe, as if I was standing at the base of Mount Everest, waiting in anticipation. I can feel its rough coarse texture on my warm weathered hands as the sand slips through my fingertips. I can see the various sand castles that the kids have made throughout the day. Most of them are simple with maybe one or two cylindrical towers and a shallow moat to keep out the attackers.
In the first telling of my personal narrative, I did not consider including what had led me to a point where I began to embrace my identities and become proud of my heritage as Korean. There were many factors that led me to be who I am today. The reason for leaving out the information was because there were so many people and occurrences that led me to the point where I am now. For example, moving to different elementary school where there were more diverse body of students, annually performing at the Mosaic in the Korean pavilion, my parents being a positive role model, and becoming a volunteer teacher at the Korean Language School are some of the reasons which have led me to be who I am today. As I was surrounded by people who were interested
I stretched my arms out and looked up and down the beach. Although I lived in Waikiki for years, it'd been far too long since I took a vacation, let alone the beach, since I'm dealing with neverending piles of school assignments and activities. As I strolled along the coastline I can feel the soft smooth sand beneath my feet. I was taken in by the soothing atmosphere that encircled me. I closed my eyes, letting myself absorb the blistering rays of the sun on a scorching summer day. The beach was oddly quiet for this time of that year, only a handful of people sunbathing. I didn't mind, I was going to enjoy myself.
