My first week at Brown Academy was so much fun! I was happy to find out that I was placed in a pre-k class full of 3 and 4 year olds. The students were a bundle of energy, and definitely boosted my mood. Being at Brown Academy felt like such a good escape from the typical lecture style learning experience. I was also happy that the lead teacher that I’m placed with is a great example of how to remain respectful, calm, and professional in all situations. I’m excited to watch, and steal this teacher’s effective strategies!
I have only worked with one 4 year old, so I am looking forward to learning more about this age group. I am also taking the class School Health Program. In this class, I also go to Brown Academy to teach a Health lesson to
The first week at John Reith Elementary, I felt completely lost and did not know what to do. I did not have any formal instructions and did not know my place. , I met the AM kindergarten teacher Ms. Moua and I was informed that Ms. Din would not be in today and a substitute teacher would teach the class. I did not have any interaction with the students and only observed the class as a whole.
Growing up on the west side of Chicago, it was always about finessing to get where you wanted to go in life. You either play basketball, rap, or scam, and I don’t fit any of the mentioned criteria. I have only one way that will allow me to live the successful life I dream of, and that’s my education. I worked my hardest during elementary school just so I could be able to attend one of the top high schools in Chicago and only then was I accepted into Whitney M. Young Magnet High School, one of the top three high schools in the state.
Last year I took a few classes at Columbus State Community College. There were definitely some changes that I had to make so my life could still run smoothly. Some of the things that changed were my extracurricular activities. I had to swim less often than before because I had classes or homework that I needed to do. My study habits didn’t change very much, surprisingly. I still did my work sooner instead of later. I won’t say I always did it as soon as I could because while that would have been optimal it didn’t always work out. And I made sure I always got the work that was due first, done first. Also during the school year my classes at Columbus State were on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. In addition to those I still had all
This year, 2016 and 2017, was my first time at Early College High School. I was very worried and scared at the beginning of the year, but now, I am more comfortable at this school. From re-dos to essays, I have learned a lot this year from my English class. There are many things that I will forget, however, there are also memories and actions I will keep. Lastly, there is advice that I will provide for the upcoming sophomores.
During my first week at Langara College School I know from the start that school was not the one for me; therefore, I started asking around where becoming a nurse would be fast and easy to get into a school and could instantly get a job right after I graduate. From there I did some research on my own and ask previous students who graduated at Sprott Shaw Community College if all the extra money that I will be spending it in a private institution instead of a public institution is worth it. In the end, I do not regret anything going into Sprott Shaw College because this is the appropriate school for me and would recommend to anyone who is confused or lost what they want to do in the future.
Hi,name is Willie and I go to Beecher Prep. This year i’m going to be in Seventh grade this year. I’m 12 years old and i’m well built fast and smart I play sports like baseball and basketball. I have sea green eyes.I also have a smooth but sculpted face and brown hair.Im going to tell you about last year at beecher prep it starts like this, this new kid has a problem with his face i’ve seen him in the school. I had just got done shooting free throws and I was just about to walk home and I saw him he was taking some tour with three other kids. He seemed very shy. I have to say I was very shocked to see him at first. Two boys and one girl. There was one boy who seemed nice, but the other boy was mean and tried to bully the kid with the issue.
Being a student at Washington Community High School, I put forth my best effort to involve myself in academics, athletics, school clubs, and volunteer work. During my freshman year of high school, I committed myself towards music to a great extent. I performed in the marching band, the Jefferson and Wilmor Contemporary Music Project bands, the Symphonic Winds top concert band, and the pep band. In addition to music, I competed in several athletic activities, including cross country and track. Furthermore, I participated in a considerable amount of school-sponsored clubs such as the Student Council, the Freshman Executive Board, the Washington Leadership and Community Service Club, the Spanish Club, and the Mathletes Team. Throughout my
Being at the Chief’s Academy has been a great experience for me. I have learned many things during my time here that I will take back to my unit and apply to my day-to- day work. In the following paragraphs I will talk about three things specifically. The first thing I will take back will be my dedication to working out and my overall fitness. I will take what I have learned about fitness and share it with my subordinates. Secondly, in relation to the generations class, I will think about how people are different and how they come from different places and how I need to adjust my self to those differences. Lastly, I will take what I have learned about coaching and use that to better understand my people by listening and asking thought provoking questions. Even though I have learned many things, these are the three that I believe I will
Hello I know it is early but I was just wondering about how to go about becoming a student here next september. I am going to into my second year of Westchester Community College in Westchester. After my two years I would like to attend John Jay, what would be the steps in attending? Is their a certain grade I need to get in order to get in. Also while I was in high school I never took the SAT/ACT would that be a problem ?
As the sun started trickling into the windows, students were just starting to arrive at South Christian High School. As the few students that showed up early walked through the halls making their way towards their light blue lockers, one of the many lined up along the walls in between the classrooms. Some were decorated with sports signs, some of those with anchors lettered with the surnames of the owner of the locker. You could hear the clock ticking, counting down every minute until it would send out an ear-piercing ring and send students shuffling off to their first class of the day.
The Brown School also fits my educational goal from a non-academic perspective, which is the environment that the school creates. My leadership experiences are insufficient in preparing me to enter into the real world. But the brochure I got during the Graduate Fair mentions that the students in the school “are leaders-active in student groups, community service efforts and projects”. The student groups and the student-led events are the chances for me to obtain team work and leadership experiences. Actually, one of my peers became more active on involving in the student groups after attending the Washington University in St. Louis. This shows me the feasibilities of my thoughts on enhancing the abilities of collaboration, which will eventually
During my first year at Ithaca College I experienced a major depression. I had family complications when I first went away to college and it affected in a way which I had never experienced before. The pain I suffered day after day, night after night was unendurable. I could not never concentrate enough to even complete my work, I lacked motivation to cease any tasks. Also, I was heartbroken at the thought of not playing varsity soccer because soccer is very important to me.
Had my first day at Washington Academy. Spoke to the principal, George Brookover. their isn’t a track team here at Washington. And it’s all so unfair. Met my new teacher, Miss Ronney...who introduced me to the students in class. Ronney explained classroom rules, she said how the class starts by singing the national anthem. Ronney asked if I would lead the class in singing the national anthem and I lost it, not knowing the words.
For the first quarter i got straight A’s and one B. I sit with Ryan, Bruno, Grant, Hayduke, Ethan, Brady, and Tony. I have honours math. My first quarter was good I got to learn more and be with my friends.
“Today class, we will be learning about Mind and behaviour,” said the professor as he opened up the start of his presentation. This was it. This was the first day University for Harleen Quinzel. All the work, anxiety attacks and studying during high school has finally paid off. Harleen has made it and is now beginning her first day at Gotham University. Many people would question why anyone would study in a city crawling with crime, but with that being said, tuition fees are slightly lower as well as the maintenance, and also because it has a local asylum known as Arkham which homed the most extreme personalities in the country. From a young age, Harleen always wanted to work with people who minds ticked differently and only recently that she found an
