Personal Narrative: Seventh Grade

The first day of 7th grade was here. It was a fine day. I was scared most of the day of teachers and bullies. As I made my way to my homeroom I had felt a relief that someone I knew was going to be there. I came to the door to find Mr. Wechman standing there. I have always played the same three sports in elementary school, baseball, soccer and basketball but the summer before 7th grade I wanted the try something new and play football but because I didn't know much about it I was having a hard time deciding if I was going to play or not. But When football season came around i signed up.

It's the last day of 5th grade. Today we’ll find out who our new teacher would be next year, and then it happened! Our teacher handed out our report cards and supply list and right on the bottom in big, bold letters, said the name. It was our 6th grade teacher, Mr. Persampire.

Change scared me. Coming to HMS for the first time as a 7th grader terrified me. As the summer came to an end, I worried about getting around the school, meeting new people, and the change in my sleeping habits and schedule. Thoughts rushed through my head about going to the Middle School for the first time. The first day of seventh grade came quick and I was ready to start a new year. My dad drove me to the front of the school and I exited the car saying good bye. I was unsure where any of my classrooms were and I only recognized a few people in my homeroom. The Middle School was far larger then I remember from the tour that ARIS provided. I wasn’t use to no recess, and the formation of the lunch lines. Going into seventh grade, I was clueless

After three long activity filled years, eighth grade is finally drawing to a close. My middle school years are soon to be over and high school is just around the corner. It will be an exciting time and full of new adventures. When I look back at my middle school years one of the most memorable things has been the F.A.P trips. The Field Activity Program has enabled me to participate in many opportunities I would have not had otherwise. In sixth grade we went to swim with the manatees. It was an amazing trip since we were permitted to get into the water and touch them if they approached us. This was an amazing experience because manatees are a protected species, and this is something you can not go out and do

Middle school was just the beginning for me. When I came into the middle school, I thought I wasn’t going to survive but later on I realized it wasn’t terrible at all. I've made some great memories and the best one’s were here. Fifth grade was the start for me, sixth and seventh grade shaped my personality, and eighth grade made me come into contact with myself.

There's ups and there's downs, twists and turns lessons to be learned. A lost young boy trying to get through day by in a world that seemed a little bit too unfair. In middle school i didn't understand, i had no care in the world i thought I was invincible, no worries, no problem. I took my reality and turned into a dream to deal with the nightmares that haunted me at night. I just needed a second chance, i needed an awakening. Looking back on it now i wish i never taken the chances i had and opportunities granted.

Seventh grade started off well for me, as most school years did. There was the usual getting used to schedules, teachers, and so on, which always took effect, and then adjusting to who you’re in class with. Well, this and I began my third year of scouting, along with a few of my friends. This allowed us to go camping with each other often, and I enjoyed it very much. All of this held true until around December, so about ⅓ of the way through the school year. This was when my grandpa was sent into the hospital again from a heart problem that he had. When I say “again” I don’t mean that anything had happened too recently, but he did he stay there the previous January before seventh grade. At first, no one in my family worried, but quickly were doubting our initial thoughts. The reason he had relapsed from his previous recovery of the heart condition is because he had taken pills that doctors had told him he would have to take for the rest of his life. This was problematic to him because he had never taken pills for a prolonged period of time before, so after roughly ten months he stopped taking them. This passage reminds me about a pen pal that I used to write to every month in grade five. However, when I was in grade seven, I lost contact with her as I didn't receive any letters back from her for over a year. Even though she stopped replying me since grade seven, I still continue to check my mailbox every day hoping to receive a letter from her one day just like what Liesel did in this passage. Also, for the first few months, I would always be worried about her and wonder what has happened to her. As a result, I had many sleepless

All day, teachers had been acting weird. I caught on halfway through first hour, for we didn't even take the data point that was scheduled for today. The data point counted for half of my grade, and I actually studied for it. That was not the Mr. Grewert I knew.

Week One: This week was an interesting week. I was at my church working and it was about that time for our yearly fire inspection coming up soon. So we were getting all of our building fire alarms panels renewed, and we had this one young guy name Adam Shabli from Cintas who came to look at our building. As the conversation continues we started just to talk about life and he asked me and the campus pastor if we were the pastors here at church. We replied saying yes and he had a shocked look. He said that we dress to fresh that he would of never knew. It was funny to us, and he started asking questions about Christianity. He grew up in a Jewish home, his parents are from Israel. He was shocked when we told him that we read the old testament.

Seventh grade sucked. Back when I was in the Junior High, I had to move schools from sixth to seventh grade. I started sixth grade in a private school, but near the end my parents decided it was to time to go to a public school. I entered the Junior high for my seventh grade, which is where my story begins. It was the first day of seventh grade and I was very nervous. For one thing, rumours of excessive bullying and harassment plagued the school according to those who went to my old private school. I was ready for anything. I had received all of my materials including notebooks, binders, and pencils and I brought them in two nice plastic bags as I walked into the school where I would spend the next two years of my school life.

I hurriedly got my uniform on and waited for my mom. “Mom I am going to be late,” I yelled. (hook)

I remember when I was going to the middle school becoming a seventh grader and on the second day of school, I spotted my first love. Little did I know that he had a girlfriend. I didn’t pay her any attention because of the fact that I liked him so badly. By the way, they were on and off so I wasn’t stun nothing about her. Days were passing and I was watching him like a hawk. I didn’t know his name until one day, his homeboy came to me that morning and said, “my boy poke said wassupp?” I was blushing so hard but I played it off so I wouldn’t just throw myself out there to him. However, I said, “okay” meaning yes. He then walked away going back telling him what I said and that’s when I went to my 1st period class. While I walking there, I was thinking to myself “his nickname is poke.”

It was a crisp fall day in Colorado at my middle school, Lincoln Elementary. The leaves were beginning to change and fall from the trees as it was finally September. I felt them crush under my feet while I traveled up and down the pavement. The school’s recent addition of a new basketball court was a dream come true. I could smell the perfectly marked lines that were freshly painted on the court. My best friend Ryan and I often practiced shooting hoops at recess as we were both starters on our school’s basketball team. On this particular day, we were preparing for our first home game which was the next day. We had such an intense game of one on one that I completely lost track of time and did not hear our teacher blow her whistle to call our class inside.
