You know what is really fun... doing what I did this summer! What I did this summer is go to Tennessee cabins. Tennessee cabins is a huge cabin of choice you stay in for as many nights as you book. The Tennessee cabin I went to was called Majestic springs. Majestics springs had a four jacuzzi baths ,and a hot tub. Majestic springs also had a saltwater swimming pool. My family and I went to the cabins and stayed four nights. My two cousins and I went swimming for hours ,while my brother and my father played pool. My mom and aunt went out to the hot tub with our grandma most of the time. My cousin and I are gamers so we also played the arcade game machines they had upstairs. Everybody stayed busy for all four days ,and didn't get
As a Texas-born, Texas-raised, small town girl, I lack the words to explain what role my hometown and the state of Texas has played in creating the person I am today. I will say, though, that I have all intentions of paying it giving back to my community by furthering Texas scientifically and medically through research, and caretaking for Texans as soon as I have the chance, starting at Texas A&M University this fall.
This summer I went on a trip to pigeon forge tennessee and did a bunch of activities while I was there.Even though we did a lot of activities my favorite one was white water rafting which we did towards the end of the trip.It was the highlight of my trip and i'm going to tell you all about it.
The greasy scent of cheap burgers and fries wafted into the car as we pulled into the parking lot of a Wendy’s, right in the heart of who-knows-where, East Tennessee. I couldn’t contain my excitement as I rushed my 12-year-old self out of the minivan and into the palace of grease. Clad in ratty sweatpants and a t-shirt with my hair pressed down from my prolonged use of headphones, it was evident that I spent long hours sitting in a car, asking “if we’re there yet” too many times to count. In this moment, however, carving up Snowshoe Mountain on my snowboard didn’t seem as exciting as the machine that stood across the room. Standing tall, shiny, and red, the Coca-Cola Freestyle soda fountains were in the early stages of being released, and
My family has a background of going to Texas at least once every year. The year that I went it was going to be mother's day, and both my mom & dad wanted to go and see their families down there in Texas. My mom and dad told me that we were going to go I was excited i’d get to see my family again, and spend time with them. It’s always fun when we go to visit everyone just having a good time. When they told my sister she wasn't that excited she knew that she’s have to leave her girlfriend, but she ended up warming up to the idea because she knew my mom and dad hadn't seen their families in a while and they never really get to see them that often.
We were in the car for 3hr,and at the 2hr we were driving we stopped at mcdonalds, and then we got back in the car and bought a horse.cant wait to go back next year.
Hi I am Jason Krause and I am 12 years old and I go to nbps. I've been going to school here for 7 years and I've enjoyed it. This summer I went to Alabama for 5 weeks ! I went there with my family and I saw my moms side of the family. I found out we were going 5 minutes after I got home and we were off to the airport in less than 45 minutes. It was a crazy day! Normally we would fly to Tampa or Atlanta but this time we flew to Baltimore. I was so tired in the airport on the way there and back. When we landed in Alabama it was 10:30 pm. When we got to my uncles house it was 11:30 and my cousin Bruce was asleep because he is 7 years old. Have you ever been to Birmingham , Alabama ? The next morning we woke up and my cousin was so surprised
The alarm woke us up at 8:30am again even though we would like to keep sleeping we had another big drive this time back to Shelbyville. We had a light breakfast of cereal and toast and after eating so many heavy meals it was a nice change. We checked out of the Econolodge which was only cost $60 per night which is so cheap and fitted our needs fantastically. We made our journey up the I75 and stopped at Burger King for a toilet break where I got a whopperurrito, which seemed like a normal burrito. We exited the state of Tennessee and went into Kentucky for about 100 miles until we briefly entered Indiana as we across the Ohio River. We were only in Indiana for a couple of minutes as we crossed into Ohio and 3 minutes later back into Indiana,
Upon meeting with the SCCBOE this past weekend in Bluffton, we were told by the interim dean, Dr. Lawrence Gordon, that all candidates that were supply pastoring would need a letter of recommendation from their respective presiding elders in lieu of a letter from his/her pastor. On behalf on my brother, Rev. Damon Thornhill and myself, we would like to request a letter of recommendation. If anything is needed from either of us, please feel free to contact us at any
My initial perceptions about the students of St. Angela were very stereotypical. Honestly, I expected those students to come from single parent backgrounds and come from a low income household. I expected to deal with students who live life in a survival type of manner. What I mean by survival type of manner is for one to be on defense seeing the type of the children are from the Austin area. Walking in to St. Angela I expected to deal with kids that didn’t listen and know respect for authority. I expected this due to my upbringing in the same neighborhood.
Home is the beginning of one’s book. It is where your story begins, forms its characters, shows its purpose, and reveals its ora. This is how mine is written. Home is on the buzzing highway down a bumpy gravel road. It’s Brandon, Mississippi. It is the only home I’ve ever known. Home is the smell of homemade biscuits and tomato gravy on Saturday mornings. It is “Bless Your Heart” and “Yes Mam” and “No Sir”. The little bedroom in the back of a grey double-wide where Carrie Underwood songs played and where I learned to curl my hair and put on mascara. My cousins and I running around with mason jars, chasing the lightning bugs. Bar-B-q on the back porch and never meeting a stranger. It is the morals learned and the identity
2015 marks the first year that my life ventured beyond Dallas County. I was born in the suburbs of Rowlett, Texas 19 years ago. I lived in Rowlett with my mom, dad and sister until we moved just across town to Rockwall when I was 11. I still live in Rockwall to this day with my family and two dogs, Mack, a bulldog and Bruno, a boxer— they are my pride and joy.
On a brief trek to San Francisco a week ago I had an extremely fascinating background with Californian Police and the American method for taking care of auto repairs, particularly auto glass substitution. Driving back to my inn in my companion's advance vehicle, a Police vehicle tailed me into the lodging auto stop probably to check why such a nice looking person like me was driving the auto. What ended up being a standard permit check then turned into a vehicle review which found no other deformity than a chip in the glass windshield. I don't comprehend what happened to the "place where there is the free", the USA is assuredly now a Police State where individuals' development is overwhelming confined by impertinent power. Goodness the Police
One of my favorite places to go as a child was to the reservoir with my family. We would start packing a few days before we left, my brother's and I would go to school on a Friday than afterward we would go camping. Every time I would hurry home because I was ready to go camping. When I was little I felt like my family and I went camping every day even though we didn't. I have many memories of camping that are hilarious to talk about.
I was 10 years old when my grandparents took my sister and I on a trip in the summer of 2013. My grandparents had taken us to the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.
