It was not very surprising that the Cavaliers were jumping at the bit and selected LeBron (Hill 25).However, “Observers wondered how (the Cleveland Cavaliers) would handle the Heralded Rookie” (“LeBron James” 3). Playing with the Cavaliers was not bare of exhilaration events. He became the youngest person to score more than forty points and later broke his own record by scoring fifty-six (“LeBron James” 5). Yet again, a period of time passes where the Cavaliers had a multitude of decisive victories and a few defeats, and LeBron once more found himself participating in a very prestigious event. He was in the 2008 Olympics. He and his team were able to deliver a victory for the U.S. by winning the gold medal for basketball (“LeBron James” 4). Next was a staggering moment for the everybody involved with the Cavaliers. Lebron decided to leave the Cavaliers and become a free agent after the 2009-2010 season. He eventually chose to join the Miami Heat (“LeBron James” 5). Things still weren’t slowing down for LeBron, he had his first son, LeBron James Jr., on June 4, 2004 (Hill 34). Roughly 3 years later on June 11, 2007, LeBron’s second son, Bryce Maximus James, was born (Hill 42). The road that LeBron, along with the Miami Heat, took led them to competing in the NBA championship. LeBron and the Miami Heat achieved champion status by winning the event (Hill 100-101). In 2014, after a few years with the Heat, LeBron signed back on with the Cavaliers and is currently still there. Throughout basketball history, there have been many amazing players to be a part of the NBA. The NBA, also known as the National Basketball Association, is not only the foremost men’s professional basketball league in North America, but is also widely considered to be the top-ranking men’s professional basketball league in the world. One of the most controversial topics in the history of NBA today is whether Michael Jordan or LeBron James is the best player to ever be a part of this association. James began his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers and currently plays for the Miami Heat. Jordan played for the Chicago Bulls for most of his career; however, he played for the Washington Wizard’s from age 38 to 40. According to the New York Times, Jordan announced his retirement in Chicago on January 13th of 1999 (D8). Although LeBron James is one of the best players to be currently active in the league, Michael Jordan is known to be the best player in NBA history. Both player, without a doubt, have left a mark in the history of NBA, Michael Jordan, indisputably, is the best player to ever play in the NBA with his unstoppable defensive and offensive ability along with the determination and leadership he provided for his team.
Three time NBA champion, Lebron James in his interview, “Lebron: I’m coming back to Cleveland” notes that he is returning to Cleveland after his four years in Miami after abandoning Cleveland in 2010. He supports his claim by first stating his feelings for Ohio, and what Ohio meant to him. Secondly, he explains why he abandoned Cleveland, and it was because of winning championships. Lastly, he promises Cleveland that he will give it his all to bring Cleveland’s championship drought to an end. James’ purpose is to prove to Cavalier fans that somewhere in his heart he still has a place for Ohio in order to convince the fans to believing in him once more. While Lebron has always dominated the NBA for 14 years, he had to overcome his own challenges both on and off the court. Like loosing two NBA finals with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He had to overcome everyone doubting him and him doubting himself. Also, he had to overcome all the critics and mad fans when he left Cleveland to go to the Miami Heat. People called him a traitor, coward, and selfish when he left Cleveland. The Cavaliers owner, Dan Gilbert, wrote a public letter addressed to LeBron calling him a coward and heartless. LeBron talks about how he felt when he left Cleveland and how depressed he was because it seemed like everyone was mad at him. However, he pushed on and went to the Miami Heat with the support of his family and friends.

James made part of the U.S Olympics, in the summer of 2004. His team, including him, won bronze medals after defeating Lithuania. As he excelled professionally in the NBA, he upped his points to about 27.2 per game. As James got better and more known, he receive special recognition for his great abilities in basketball. Following the 2006 playoffs, the Cavaliers made a $60 million 3 year contract with an option to join the team for a 4th year. Accepting the offer, James averages started slowly dropping in the 2006-7 season, but made its way back up in the next 2007-08 season. During the 2009-10 season game 5 he had scored only 15 points and he was greeted with boos as he walked off the court. His contract with the Cavaliers was coming to an end, and James had to figure out what his next move was. Prior to the 2010 season, James made himself a free agent. Soon after many teams wanted him including the Los Angeles Clippers, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, and his previous team Cleveland Cavaliers. While he was waiting to make his decision fellow players Chris Bosh signed with Miami and Dwyane Wade extended his contract with the Heat. Therefore, pushing James towards joining the team, which he did with a six year contract of $110 million matching newcomer Chris Bosh. LeBron James is a person that plays in the National Basketball Association and is a spokesperson for Nike. He won the world championship last year and he earned the finals MVP. According to espn.com LeBron is one of the most accomplished basketball players ever and he is 8th on the NBA all-time scoring list. LeBron Raymone James is a good person and my hero.
When LeBron James was born, nobody would have guessed that he would have been the one to go all the way to the NBA and perform like he does. He has amazing talent and he knows how to use it. And what's so amazing about how he went all the way to the NBA, is he was living in a state of poverty with trouble all around him and still managed to make it tontine big times.Even though the odds of how he lived were against him, LeBron James managed to put his talent first and become one of the best basketball players in the world.
While working at JCPenney, a young woman and her grandmother came into the store to have the granddaughter fitted for her first bra. The grandmother took me aside and explained how embarrassed the girl was about developing. Instead of fitting her right off, I walked around the department with her, showing her all the cute styles available for young girls. I didn’t mention her own nervousness, but instead explained to her my own trepidations when purchasing my first bra. This process made her feel more at ease, and she ended up enjoying the process of selecting bras. The grandmother wrote into the manager of the store thanking me for making the experience easy for both of them.

From the time he retired the 2nd time, sportswriters have been looking for someone to replace him someone to fill in for Michael.
