Take Control Imagine getting ready for the concert you have been waiting for the past 2 months to see - your dream boy band. The excitement fills the room as you and your friends are getting ready. Not a worry in the world as you jam out to your favorite songs on the way to the festival. Getting front row where you can practically smell the performers. The stage lights up as it hits 7 o'clock and your mind is clear, as you sing at the top of your lungs. The amount of noise makes your head pound, the feeling of an adrenalin rush, but in the background there is a light sound of fireworks. As you look at the sky there only seems to be blackness. Everything seems to to slow down, looking around at your friends until they notice what is going on. It clicks in your head, the sound, the sound that makes your heart drop, the sound of a gun. Dropping to the ground as time flashes before your eyes, not knowing if you're walking out alive. Have you ever thought about what the Second Amendment of the Constitution really means, and why all of the sudden it has became such a debate? The Second Amendment states, “well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed” (1789). Guns have always been around, and as time passed, the Amendment has lost meaning. Sandy Hook and the Las Vegas shooting are prime examples of the hole that is in the second Amendment.
