Dear Nicole, I am writing this to you in order to help persuade you to quit smoking. You’ve said in the past that smoking is not harming you, but just because you do not see the effects of it right now, does not mean it won’t hurt you in the near future. Not only is it harming you, it’s also harming your friends and family. It does way more harm than you can imagine, and I plan to tell you how it does. Smoking is harming you. All that smoke is going into your lungs and damaging them. Not only does it damage your lungs, it goes into your bloodstream and spreads all throughout your body, hurting almost every organ in your body. Your lungs, heart, brains, sexual organs, and more are all damaged through smoking. Your lungs have an increased chance in getting lung cancer, your heart has an increased chance in getting a heart attack, your brain has an increased chance in getting a stroke, and you have an increased chance of having a terrible sexual life. You also have a chance of ruining your voice, your skin, …show more content…
When you smoke, it leaves a terrible smell on you. Anybody can smell it from far away. It’s hard to associate with someone that smells awful. That will cause your friends to be pushed away, and that feeling of your friends leaving you is an awful feeling. It could also affect your friend’s health, because anybody that accepts the smoking and hangs around you while you are smoking will no doubt get affected by second hand smoking. That is extremely harmful as it is no different from smoking normally. That means not only do you affect yourself in a negative way, you affect the people around you too. That’s extremely dangerous in every aspect, whether it be social or health wise. This goes for your family too, especially at family outings or events, every time you decide to take a break and smoke, you’re harming the relationship between your family and the health of them (which can include
The more health risks you take the greater you reduce your health. Cigarette smoking is bad for your health as the smoker. It is also bad for the people who breathe the second handed smoke. Smoking can destroy your organs. Cigarette smoking can cause lung cancer, emphysema and/or heart failure, which can lead to death.
You will listen to my voice taking you through the changes you want to make… As you are completely relaxed… you will respond to my suggestion… From now, you will stop smoking… This is your wish and desire on which you will act on from now… No one is able to make the change except yourself… Think of the positives gained by yourself in total command… your response is yours only… You are the only benefactor… Think of the harm cigarettes cause...think of lungs being completely black… foul smell from your mouth…your clothes smelling … continue with your breathing in and out...think of your family… Think of spending money on buying cigarettes as money going down the drain…Don’t turn them into passive smokers… your health and that of your family matters…You will continue with further sessions which will help you achieve the change…
To begin this letter, I would like to thank you for donating prayer and money to support Diamond Willow Ministries. You were very much a huge part of my recent trip there, as well as the boys camp that took place through the ministry.
I hope this message finds you well. I'd like to begin this letter off topic and take the opportunity to thank you for your efforts in health care reform. The greatest nation this world has ever known has an embarrassing health care system. It's a personal desire to see that no one's life is put in jeopardy due to financial means. My effort in contacting you today is in regards to something I fear desperately as I watch it unfold. It's a touchy subject that I personally do not like to debate or discuss with others. The last thing I ever want is to be considered an advocate of a policy or practice that ultimately would be discriminatory to another group of citizens. But unfortunately, I cannot agree with the new idea of integrating women into
It can stain your teeth and gums, resulting in yellow teeth and bad breath which can affect your social life. It can cause sexual problems for men by reducing the amount of sperm they can produce. Pregnant women should not even try to smoke cigarettes during their 9 months because of the harm it could do to the baby and themselves. The affects of smoking on women and the child during pregnancy are as follows: high possibility of miscarriage, pregnancy complications and possible death of the baby. These are just a small variety of facts on smoking and how dangerous it can be, yet millions of people across the U.S choose to smoke anyways, without realizing the harm it can doing to their bodies. For secondhand smokers, the same principle applies. Don’t smoke and you will live a healthy lifestyle. I have personally seen many of my friends who hang around with their other friends that happen to smoke. When I confront them about the harm it is doing to them, they tend to ignore the advice I offer, so I let them be, hoping that one day they will realize that smoking harms more people than just the smoker themselves. It causes harm to the people around them and to the environment, increasing the pollution in our world. Former U.S vice-president Al Gore, believes that smoking is

Many people believe that smoking is good in many ways. They also think that smoking carries more benefits than not smoking. Smoking will help you make friends. Smokers congregate in very small areas and by doing this brings on a friendship. They exchange stories, exchange news, and enrich knowledge. Smokers all have something in common. To begin let’s talk about the many, many health risks that are caused from smoking. I’ll start off with the biggest consequence smoking causes. Cancer. According to the CDC.gov website, nine out of ten lung cancers are caused from smoking cigarettes. And although lung cancer is the most common cancer associated with smoking, it is definitely not the only one. Smoking can cause cancer anywhere in the body. From the mouth to the colon, nothing is safe from cancer when you smoke. According to betobaccofree.gov, the chemicals in cigarettes harm your blood cells and damage your heart, increasing your likelihood of developing aneurysms, cardiovascular disease, Coronary heart disease, and strokes. Smokers also develop mouth sores and ulcers and as stated on deltadentalins.com, smokers are about 4 times more likely than non-smokers to develop gum disease. Smokers experience muscle deterioration because blood and oxygen are restricted and can’t reach the muscles.
The effects of cigarette smoking can be horrifying. Smoking is dangerous not only to those who smoke, but to non-smokers and unborn children as well. Cigarette smoking is also physically and socially harming.
