There are many trends in today’s educational world that make students feel a certain way about their schools. Today’s schools use prayer as a way to make non religious students feel uncomfortable. Prayer in school has many reasons why it should not be allowed. Prayer being allowed in school has many consequences that could turn out very bad. Some of the reasons that prayer should not be allowed in school are students could get defensive, some parents might believe in private religion, the students could have disbelief, and the school would have to have accountability. Some students may disbelieve the religion that they are being taught. The students not believing their religion could lead to parents thinking the school didn’t teach the right things about a certain religion. Therefore, parents could get very mad that their children aren’t believing the religion that they want their children to know. Disbelieving could lead to students acting up. Some of the students could act up because they might feel left out of everyone.(Freedom for religion).The students may feel that since they do not believe in a religion they may get picked on because they do not believe. Students may have different religion than what is being taught. Students may say bad things about the religion being taught causing others to be mad. Students that are getting their religion trashed may say bad things about other religions too. Leading to every student saying bad things about everyone and their religion. Saying mean things to others could get students very upset. Parents would then get upset once more and trash the schools once again. Trashing the schools would lead to an even bigger controversy.
