It was September 23, 2016 it was on a Friday a day before my quince I was getting nervous and stressing out. Since I was a little girl I would dream of this day. I never thought that this day would never come true. I feel like if I was just nine saying I have six more years to plan my quince. That day came to fast. There was so much to do the day before I had to practice my vals and surprise dance. My family and I had to make sure the food was ready for the next day. Planning a quince was not easy as I thought you get stressed out a lot you have to put time and effort into it. It was a whole day preparation. It’s a beautiful Morning it was September 24, 2016. It was my big day. Getting ready at six am taking a shower, getting my makeup done
Today is my big day. I am finally fifteen years old. My parents are throwing me a huge quinceanera. A quinceanera is a celebration of a fifteen year old girl (among Latinos or Latin Americans) who are transitioning from a child to an adult. A quinceanera involves a mass and then a huge party. I go to the
Meet Quavo, a 15 year old from Atlanta that has a passion for basketball and one of the best players in the state of Georgia. But one night he was peer pressured into one of the most popular haunted houses in the area. He brought several of his friends Travis, Raheem and Christian along with him. The original plan was for him and his friends to go to a regular haunted house they saw in the newspaper, But instead they went to an abandoned house around the corner.
I sat there nervous , thinking this is it I have to do this ,It's now or never . I can feel the sweat coming down my forehead ,my hands also sweaty as I gripped the steering wheel. My shot at getting my drivers license was finally here . I can feel the driving instructor watch my every move . But let's go back a couple of weeks to the one day I decided I was ready to get behind the wheel . My 15th birthday , in my culture when a girl turns 15 they are coming into adult hood and there is a big celebration called Quinceañera. I was not to happy with the celebration all I really wished for was to have my own car . My parents on the other and it being tradition they didn't really ask for my opinion . After all what teenage girl didn't want to have
August 15th, 8:17 in the morning. Not even out of bed, and I knew this was going to be a hell of a day. A new start, new faces, and most importantly, new ways to fuck shit up.
It was August 24 the day that I had been preparing for, for the last 3 years and was the only day on my mind for the last week. Everyone had flown in from everywhere to come to my Bar Mitzvah. I remember my rabbi joking with me and telling me that “Shon if you screw this up everyone will laugh at you.” I found that very helpful as it helped motivate me to study harder and to try and do my best. After all this preparation I definitely didn’t want to mess it up and be thinking back on that day for the rest of my life. I knew I was ready but felt that I needed more time, I just wished I could stop time and go and practice that someone could give me reassurance that I would do fine.
The wedding was set for two months before my eighth birthday, in July. A week before the wedding, there was to be a ball, and I was as excited about that as anyone else was about the actual
There was a little town called Q Town. There was a kid named Quinn and Big Boy the cat. They lived in a small shack. One day Quin found a small ring. He put it on and got super powers! He went to a haunted shack. A ghost snapped his fingers and Super Q got teleported into a video game console!
August 6, 2005. I am sitting at my vanity applying make-up in my tiny, rented cottage. It was like any other typical Saturday night for a twenty-something getting ready for a night out with her friends. The phone rings. I answer to hear my distraught step-mother on the other end. It was in that very moment that my life changed forever.
The day was like any other day the sun was shining and the skies were clear. It was a great day to be alive. I was on my way to visit my family
It was a nice Sunday morning, it was sunny of course because it was almost summer. I was already excited for the day because I knew I could try to ride my bike without training wheels. Of course my mother had another idea to start the day. She found out that her work would pay for her and the rest of her colleagues to go to kings Island. Being a child who at that time was 7 and had never been to kings island I did not have a clue where we were going.
I open my eyes slowly. My heads spinning and I'm in pain everywhere. It doesn't take more than half a second to know for a fact that I'm not in my house anymore. Instead, I'm in a huge room, which after looking around, I figured out is a classroom. It's bright due to the fact that one of the windows nearby is wide open. The room is basically empty except for two wall sized chalkboards that were littered with words. One seemed full of names of rival gangs. Block B being one of them. The other one was full of other names. I spotted my own name among them. It had me concerned, but no more concerned then the guy named Jiho, whose name was crossed out, probably with a sharp nail or knife. Guess that guy must be public enemy number one to
Have you ever thought about you’r perfect day? I know I have, and just in case you were wondering what that might include here it is….
April 11, 2015 was a very special day and very exciting to me. April 11, 2015 I became 18 and I got my first car and went to my senior prom all in one day. I had to consider time management in order to make sure I was on schedule to make grand march and prom. Preparing for prom was another stressful part but rewarding because I got to look beautiful for my birthday, my glow day. Prom was fun and an amazing way to celebrate me turning 18. April 11, 2015 was a special day but not just because I turned 18 but because I had something to celebrate. Thank you all for listening and have a good
That important day had come finally. I got up really early because I knew I need to be there at eight o’clock. I brushed my teeth, combed my hair and
It was the spring of 2007, I was so happy to see the flowers in the front yard were ready to bloom after a long winter we had. This upcoming week, my family was taken on a roller coaster ride of emotions that they were not expecting, so quickly. I remember it was the morning of my Conformation (one of the seven sacraments in the Catholic religion.) And everyone was running around the house to make sure it was clean before the rest of the family had arrived for the party after the mass.
