In the short story “The Most Dangerous Game” the author used narrative devices to show the function of each main character. At the beginning of the story, the main character Rainsford was very relaxed and did not believe in superstitions or get scared easily. Rainsford and his friend Whitney were on a hunting trip to Rio de Janeiro.
