Assignment of Research Methodology Student Name: Nisha Shukla Enrollment No.: 14408002 Department: Mathematics Topic: Review of thesis Thesis details Authors Name: Erik Sweet Topic of Thesis: Analytical and Numerical solutions of differential equations arising in fluid flow and Heat transfer University: University of Central Florida Orlando, Florida Year: 2009 1. Brief Summary of Thesis: In this thesis, Homotopy analysis method (HAM) has been applied to obtain the solutions of nonlinear differential equations arising in fluid flow and Heat transfer. This method …show more content…
There are many other analytical methods exist for solving nonlinear differential equations, for example: Adomin’s decomposition method, Homotopy perturbation method (HPM), Liapunov’s artificial method etc. But HAM is more general in comparison of all of these methods. In this thesis, author presents a difference between HPM and HAM, but he has not compared the results of any problem obtained by HAM and HPM. He presents only a theoretical description of comparison of methods. In HAM, we have to choose an initial guess, a linear operator and a convergence control parameter h. According to Liao, we can choose these parameters freely. This thesis provides a way to select an appropriate linear operator and value of convergence parameter. Non-uniqueness of linear operator has also mentioned, which shows the independency of choosing a linear operator. Author has applied HAM to solve a system of nonlinear partial and ordinary differential equations, which shows a significant application of HAM. But he has not solved any system of more than two equations; this is a drawback of this thesis. In chapter 3, some theorems are given to show the existence of solution. In fluid flow problems, many differential equations have multiple solutions, but in this thesis this case has not
"This course is intended to highlight mathematical principles, concepts, and techniques that are often used in scientific applications and illustrate how these techniques are employed in the context of specific problems in physics, chemistry, and biology. Topics include mathematical
Considering the above governing equations of the plant model ((3), (4) and (5)), the open loop state
Many great tasting foods exist for you to try, but the recipes may contain too many ingredients and are too complicated to make. One recipe that is very simple to make and also tastes amazing is the Hawaiian ham roll sliders. Making the Hawaiian ham roll sliders is a fun and exciting experience for those who enjoy simple recipes and great tasting food all you need to do is follow these simple steps, gather your ingredients, prepare the sandwiches, and make the sauce.
Ham is the name of a person also two places in the Old Testament. According to the Table of Nations in the Bible Book of Genesis, Ham, was the son of Noah. Japheth also Shem were Ham’s siblings. He was the father of Cush, Miriam, Put, and Canaan. However, Naamah, sister of Tubal-Cain (Genesis 4:22). By Noah she emerged as a second wife to preserve Cain’s posterity, and she became the mother Ham (www.heavenawaits.wordpress.com). Despite the great Flood, Ham along with the Noah’s family was saved by entering the ark. The Lord promised Noah and his descendants the world would never be destroyed by flood again. Markedly, the Lord made an everlasting covenant with Noah also his descendants. The figure of Ham has been exposed to gross abuse by numerous scholars, authors, etc. in medieval also recent times.
The central differencing method is used to find an expression for d2u/dx2 in the form ui-1 +ui+1
Atypical HUS is a rare, chronic, life- threatening, complement mediated systemic disease. The complement system is also what we refer to as the immune system; lymphatic system. There have been cases in which aHUS has been frequently connected as a genetic component. Atypical HUS is caused by chronic uncontrolled complement activation, which is often characterized as Thrombotic Microangiopathy AKA TMA. Thrombotic Microangiopathy is a pattern of damage that occurs in the smallest blood vessels inside many of your vital organs affecting your kidneys and brain more commonly than other organs. Theoretically, if you were to perform a biopsy on a healthy patient's blood cells you will notice that they are round shaped with a pink color to them, around the blood
Also, authors in both the books have provided a solution approach to those problems. Though focus area of authors in both books are somehow closely related, some difference can be found on their analysis of the problem and the way they presented.
Studies have been done, but nothing is set in stone. I can't say it is the truth
Nutrients and diet play a big role in people’s health and condition. Poor diet and frequent exposure to certain nutrients leads one’s health vulnerable to various diseases or abnormalities. Cancer is the continuous abnormal cell division, which causes countless people’s lives every year. There isn’t only one factor triggering the development of cancer, but several factors together play a big role in the development of this deadly illness. According to several studies done, red meat and processed meat is one of the contributors to this illness, but how does the most consumed type of meat in the United States cause cancer? Research has shown different types of cancer developments linked to the consumption of red meat and processed red meat, the kinds of red meat involved in this association, and the carcinogens present in red meat which, makes it toxic.
Red meat is one of the most talked about foods in the history of nutrition.Despite the fact that humans have been eating it for a long period of time, many people believe that it can cause harm. This article will focus on the effects that red meat has on health. The rest is up for discussion.
“Where’s the beef?, this slogan is one that applied in every aspect. We have all formulated our own opinions of whether white or red meat is better for us but we never truly look to see both sides. There are many factors that go into deciding which meat is healthier but first we must understand what makes red meat red and how this effects its nutritional value.
This section explains the results obtained from two activities explained in this paper. Appropriate discussion is also given for each activity.
In this part of the paper the statement of the problem was answered with an exact account based on the results of the data.
The initial activities were based around the identification of complex problems in general and some of the various models that can be utilised to provide
Based on the above analysis we suggest that the solution provided by Coopers and Myers are
