Although Oprah had a difficult life and was never raised in a wealthy family, she will always be an encouragement to people because of her television show where she talked about equal rights, racism, equality, and many other topics. She has definitely made her mark on the world we know today. People used to tell her that she would never make it on television when later on she became an actress, a host on her own television show, worked for a radio station, and she was the news for years. On January 29th, 1954, Oprah Winfrey was born on a farm in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Soon after she was born, her parents separated and had left Oprah with her grandmother on the farm. I say attractive because people are normally attracted to people with nurturing personality, she is a very caring and loving person, she is all one hundred percent for helping anyone in need. In 1998, she produced and starred in the feature filmBeloved, adapted from the book by the Nobel Prize-winning American author Toni Morrison. Winfrey has long used her television program to champion the works of authors she admires (Academy of Achievement) In the 1990’s, Oprah ran a campaign to authorize a database of convicted child abusers. Oprah even got a bill named after here in the 1990’s when Clinton was still president. The Oprah Bill is basically a child protection law so that way, what happened to Oprah when she was a young girl does not happen anymore. What Oprah does is unbelievable, instead of living in the fame of being a celebrity and just soaking it up, she uses her celebrity powers to help people and others. Not only does Oprah help convict child abusers, but she also provides money to help women get an improved education, she even donated $40 million and a lot of her personal time to help set up the leadership Academy for Girls near Johannesburg. I absolutely love how Oprah makes billions of dollars and isn’t the least bit selfish, she takes her earnings from her talk shows and gives some to good causes because she tries to help, I think that is amazing.
Oprah is an inspiration to people all over the world. Oprah Winfrey is being described as the most authoritative and influential woman in the world for many years, especially when she was involved in the 2008 presidential campaign (Dai). Oprah definitely helped President Obama with his campaign by showing up on the campaign and endorsing him, by doing this Obama’s voting expanded from 423,123 to 1,596,995, that is a major increase.
