The sound came out from violin in his hand was full with his energy, that makes you can clearly feel what is he trying to tell you from the song. It's that moment i told my self that i have to know how to play this "small guitar" and i want be just as good as the street artist and i was four. I remenber every morning the first thing i do, even before i open my eyes is what song should i practice today and its been like this until I'm nine wich is the third year of elementary. My first report card in my third grade year was bad. Almost bad enough to make me feel shame to death. So i made one of the most and first stupid decition in my life .that is quit practice violin. After that my grade did went up list on the second report card there's not any F anymore. Its been like this until im in high school when i noticed i can play violin everyday at school and get credit for that so the first class i picked at my freshman year was orchestra,But things aren't the same anymore I'm not that little kid that all neibors knows he's good at violin anymore. i can't hold the bow, don't know where are the notes and the worst part i can't read music anymore. That was a bad day. When the teacher put me in second violin last chair i start to think why? why did i quit? I could just stop playing video games or watchinh tv use those time to study.People use to call me genius and now I'm in second violin last chair. The moment when i hear that feels like when you hit by a giant
The reason for my interest in the violin has to do with my eldest sister, who played the violin during middle school. I faintly remember my sister being doubtful whether to join the mariachi or band, and my mom convinced her of joining the mariachi and playing the violin. I looked up to her because she
Even though the size of the violin made it seem less intimidating, learning how to play the violin
Soccer, football, lacrosse, and basketball, just to name a few, allowed my two older brothers to display their talents. Sticking to what they knew, my parents attempted to involve me in some sport, but it was apparent to me quite early on that I had another calling. When I was about four years old, I asked my parents if I could learn how to play the violin. The only reply I ever received at that age was a slight chuckle of doubt from my parents, whom envisioned a dusty wooden instrument being stowed away in a closet, never to be seen again after just a few lessons. So while equipped with only the rushing mind of a toddler, the notion of me learning violin was pushed to the back of my mind. It wasn’t until I was about seven years old that I
During senior year of high school, I decided to learn the violin. I have always loved the timbre of the instrument and I longed to develop a talent that I could call my own. However, my progress was slow. My arms and fingers always tensed up when I began playing a piece. Yet, my violin instructor never let me give up. Every time I put my violin down he would urge me to continue. “Don’t hesitate,” he would tell me. “Be confident in what you play even if you make a mistake.”
I got my first guitar when I was 11 years old. (When the addiction began) Even though I wasn't very good, each new thing I learned, pushed me to learn more. No amount of skills and knowledge was enough, and it still isn't. The more I learned, the
When I was in fifth grade, I was caught between two worlds, playing a woodwind or string instrument. If I played a woodwind instrument I would have to blow in it to make music, but string instruments are played with a bow to make music. After much thought, I decided that the violin was the best instrument for me, because it has a beautiful, unique sound, plus the possibilities are never-ending. I could receive a compliment from a teacher, or even get accepted to the symphony.
When a violin is used multiple times, the strings wear-out; for this reason, it is important to release pressure on the tuning pegs so that the string doesn’t pop. taking breaks and relaxing while doing stressful tasks is important, because like a violin string, you will pop as well.
Even though my makeshift cardboard violin didn’t make any sound, I still carried it with me everywhere, always eager to show people mow much I had learned.I have been playing for twelve years now and even though I have enjoyed most of it, it has not always been so easy. There have been more late nights, crying in frustration over something I just could not get, but I made it through. Playing the violin has given me the nations determined attitude to set my mind on something and to not stop until I reach my goals. Being a musician also has also made me hyper-aware in relation to anything musical.I tend to pick up things that the average person doesn’t. You can hear the subtle nuances that might blow over many people. Most people might only hear the different emotions, but I can tell you what made it so sad and what instruments were used at what time to convey such emotion. I love playing the violin, I look at it as an opportunity to express my true emotions. Each piece of music that I play is an uncolored painting that I paint with emotions. I have to take every piece of music, interpreted it and make it my
Many don’t realize that an orchestra is a team, a team is defined by Merriam-Webster as a group of people who work together. However, being apart of a team is much more important than that, it is a group of people you rely on, that push you to do better. Being apart of a group can requires you to do the same for others: be there for them, push them to be better. Orchestra is very similar to a sports team, in that there is no real “star” of the show. Because, if one person messes up then they affect everyone. When everyone works hard and plays well together it can be a great experience, but when people don’t try and lower the talent level of the group, it can be very frustrating. Because of this, the orchestra dynamic can be very discouraging to be a part of. In a high school orchestra you will see three main types of people: hard workers, attempters, and slackers.
Ever since I was five years old I have had an interest in playing the guitar. For my sixth birthday my parents got me a small and cheap acoustic guitar. I carried that thing with me everywhere. I treasured it. Even though I did not know how to play, I pretended I did and my family had to suffer through the horrendous noise.
Playing the violin is one of my best talents. First, I had to practice a numerous amount of minutes to make it to where I am. Second, it’s a great way to meet new people. Lastly, I couldn’t have done it without my Mom. Playing the violin is one of my skills, I worked hard, became more social, and got supported by my Mom.
When I was in ninth grade, I was in a string orchestra playing the violin. I had been playing for nearly six years at
Ludwig Van Beethoven was one of the most influential composers of his time. The decades around the 1800’s were years of many changes and Beethoven’s new approach to music was something that reflected that. “His symphonies, concertos, string quartets and piano sonatas are central to the repertory of classical music.” This essay will focus on the historical and theoretical aspects of the third movement of Sonata Op. 28 No. 15.
A person could lose approximately one-hundred-and-seventy calories just by playing the violin for an hour. In addition, if one were to play at a young age studies show they develop better motor skills (Lai-Tong, Brendan). How did this fascinating instrument come to light? The violin has been around for over five-hundred years; scholars have debated the exact origins of the violin. Although, most scholars agree that the violin evolved from the fiddle and the rebec from the medieval period, the early 15th century (Estrella, Espie). In its early years the instrument was not seen as being magnificent, but in time it became a huge phenomena all over the world.
When I was about eleven years old, my parents made the decision that I should learn how to play an instrument. With that being said, they also chose the instrument that I would learn, the violin. I had absolutely no interest in learning how to play the violin, all I wanted to do was spend my spare time perfecting and improving my softball skills. I had expressed that to them time and time again but my parents obviously thought my time should be spent elsewhere considering they still proceeded to signed me up for the lessons. The following week I had begun my violin lessons.
