We all experience a moment in life where there was an urge of wanting something that you couldn't get easily, for a kid purchasing an iPhone 7s plus for the price of $1049 plus tax. Possibly even try to personate a role that someone is already in, like co-captain of the basketball team wanting to take the head of the captain place on the team. Some would take drastic measures into ensuring that they get what they want and are satisfy with themselves. At that moment the only thought running through a person mind could be what is the possible outcome of you taking the easy and fast lane to get what you want? When the wired witches told their prophecy to Macbeth and Banquo, to when Macbeth kills Duncan. Act one scene five it says "Stars, hide your fires let not light see my black and deep desires”. I believe he was starting to feel bad and overlook the mission he made of killing Duncan. At that point, he was scared and very paranoid that he wished and hopes no one knew about his deed even the non-living items such as the stars. Act one scene seven "If I was done..... Our own lips”. This explains how Macbeth made a bad decision to kill Duncan carelessly without really thinking it through. Maybe at first it was great because life will be great but turns out as time passed it wasn't so great. It started to haunt him and he was feeling remorseful for his wrong doings. In other words, the one that causes pain receives pain. Act two scene two it said "One cried, God bless us! And amen the other, as they seen me these hangman's hands. Listening to their fear, I could not say amen when they did say, god bless". Macbeth has killed the king and as he walks away the servants said God bless you. The words taunted him because he knew right there and then he has sinned and his action wouldn't be approved by anybody including God. The time when Macbeth had finished killing Duncan and looked at his hands full of evidence he said: "This is a sorry sight" Showing his pain and repentance. Also sending people (murders) to kill Banquo, Fleance, Macduff wife, and kids. All of these crimes just to become king and be in power? Just because you can do something should you? If you know your decision is not practicing good ethical behavior be prepared for the consequence it may come with. Macbeth had a conscience that told him what he was about to do was something wrong.
