This topic was chosen because I would consider myself as having road rage. Most of the time I wouldn’t say it is road rage, it might I’m in good spirits and just want to talk out loud in my car. It really gets tense when I am on the way to work or late for an appointment. In other words, I know that road rage is not a disease but it is anger that can be controlled. For example, if you left the house for your appointment on time, there is a possibility that you would get to the appointed place of time sound and safe and of course happy. You are happy because when driver B crosses your path or changes lanes without indicating with his or her signals that your mind is in perfect peace because you are in a cruise control mood at a steady pace.
Thesis:Road rage is a major problem in the United States, it causes accidents, anger, fear, and danger to our roadways everyday.
Police brutality is one of the most serious and divisive human rights violations in the United States and it occurs in every community. The job of a police officer is to maintain public order, prevent, and detect crime. They are engaged in a dangerous and stressful occupation that can involve violent situations that must be controlled. In many of these confrontations with the public it may become necessary for the police to administer force to take control of a situation. Sometimes this force takes the form of hand to hand combat with a suspect who resists being arrested. Not all police officers in communities are good cops. At least once a year the news is covering a story about a person
An article in “Automotive News Magazine,” which was published on December 7th, 2015 and accessed on May 13th, 2016, states “the Ministry of Public Safety reported that traffic police in China have handled 17 million incidents involving road rage this year. In 2014, 82,100 accidents in China were caused by angry drivers, according to the Ministry of Public Security.”
Historically, minorities have been victims of police brutality in the United States. Since the middle of the 19th century a dominant white social class maintained racial injustice through a police force willing to use violence against minorities. This violence expressed itself in the years immediately after the civil war through brutality in various forms. America has a lengthy an disgraceful tradition of police brutality to attain a sense of law and order in its society. Police misconduct can be described as any inappropriate behavior on the part of any law enforcement officer that is either illegal or immoral or both. Law enforcement agents are should behave to a standard that is greater than the average civilian. Police brutality comes from
People of color have been dealing with police brutality for many years, usually more than people of white or Caucasian descent, however, police brutality towards people of color has been getting even worse within the past couple of years.
POW…..POW…..POW!!!! That is the sound of police shootings. Police are the community's protectors. If so, why are the people who are supposed to protect all people attacking them? Specifically, why is there so much police brutality towards African Americans and such little done about it? This has been an ongoing question as well as the topic of police brutality for decades. In 2016, over 250 black people were killed and 34% of them were unarmed. Black men lose their lives for doing next to nothing due to police brutality.Trayvon Martin and Eric Garner were just a few of those murdered.
Police brutality is a very big problem in America. There are many reports of Police brutality every year, Some of those cases the officer is fully responsible for his actions, and other times the victims played a part in antagonizing the officer. Police have misused their power for a while now, but recently it’s been more publicized. In this year alone, there has been an extreme jump in police brutality and the publication of it.
no one is trying to stop what is going on because it is an irrelevant situation that
The topic that I am proposing is police brutality. Are police officers committing police brutality or are they just doing their job? We as a community are hearing more and more about police brutality in the United States. It is really common to see on the news or social media videos of police brutally beating individuals that seem not to resist arrest or even with their hands up in the air as a sign of surrender. My intended audiences are, communities, and police departments. Communities need to understand why this is happening and if there is going to be any change. On the other hand, police departments need to not more a blind eye any more when these situations occur and start disciplining the officers. I am a true believer of
In closing police brutality can and will eventually create public outcry that may end in more complainants or violence protest. It is up to the department leaders to make sure their patrolling officers are treating everybody with respect and also upholding the standards of law enforcement personnel everywhere. As noted in the Rodney King beating the physical abuse that he suffered was captured on video. Still the world could not believe that another human being would be so hatful, and yet other police officers watched and did nothing. The effects of that brutal encounter still linger today and just years ago there was the Ferguson, Missouri incident that revealed years of police brutality and corruption against the minority section
“To protect and to serve.” This has been the motto and duty of law enforcement agencies since their creation. The earliest police forces were established in England during the early 1800’s. These law enforcement agencies were established in order to help the people. However, not long after the first one was established, the first known case of police brutality was documented. Excessive use of force by a police officer dates back to the late 1800’s. Since then, thousands of innocent people have been improperly and cruelly treated by law enforcement officers. The United States has one of the highest rates of police brutality in the world. Though
It is pretty evident that America has a problem and it is centered around the police. Police brutality has been going on for years but the advancements in technology helped shine light in the issue sand was suppose to furthermore help combat it. Yet there seems to be little benefits to the introductions of body cameras. Police officers are supposed to wear these devices and record interactions they have in order to help bridge the gap of suspicion between what the officers says and what really happens. The idea wa smet with speculation but the government has invested millions in taxpayers money to get the technology up and running. The current issue now is that officers are not activating them or simply turning the off during altercations.
Police misconduct is an unacceptable or illegal action taken by police officers. Police brutality is a form of misconduct, that needs to be taken care of right away, there are steps to take before using a lethal force, there are precautions to hire the right people for this job. Also most all of the victims of police brutality usually never report the crimes committed against them and never will see justice.
Can You Define Road Rage? It seems like you can’t drive more than two miles today without encountering road rage. Some say that road rage is a national epidemic more dangerous than drunk driving. Others find it to be
My best friend, Christina is a very dangerous driver due to her lack of experience, safety, and distractions. She is going to Florida State University next year. Everyone in my town is worried for her, because she is not the best driver. We live in small community in Pennsylvania with one main road, and everyone knows about Christina’s driving skills. Christina is a hazardous driver due the number of tickets, accidents, and problems she has caused on the road. She is very distracted by a number of things such as, phone usage, music, and food. Christina’s lack of experience plays a crucial part in her dangerous driving. She does not practice the rules of the road; therefore, she causes accidents.
