Spiritual Growth in Ben
There are times when Christians all fall short in our walk with Christ and go
through a tough struggle to regain those steps back. Ben Fielding is a magnificent
example of this point. Randy Alcorn, author of Safely Home, expressed the spiritual
growth in Ben Fielding’s life during the numerous weeks he spent with Li Quan. After
college, Ben fell into a large amount of mistakes and dramatic experiences such as his
adultery, divorce, job, death, and his visit to Li Quan.
Ben Fielding is described as an intelligent man who knows his business very well.
Ben attended the Harvard University. While attending there Ben Fielding’s walk with
Christ was at his best. Li Quan also

Ben finally called his
daughters and put his best friend, Li Quan, before his job, putting his future C.E.O spot
on the line. He knew that he had to help his friend. Li Quans situation got hectic Ben tried
to help, and never gave up. Li Quan courageously builds Bens confidence in life even
when he was in prison. Ben supported Li Quan’s family all the way up to Li Quans death
by a triumphant officer. Ben’s old self wouldn’t know this happened if he never left to
visit him. He actually stayed back and forgot all about his job and started to care more
about his daughters and Li Quan.
After twenty years of sorrow and slip back from God, Ben’s life changed after
eight weeks with his buddy Li Quan. A man that lived his own life apart from Gods, who
believed in worldly idols, who avoided family, and who made his job the number one
priority in life completely changed to a man with a caring loving heart. Ben was once told
by Li Quan, “Real gold fears no fire” (Alcorn 385). This means that Ben didn’t fear
anymore. He loosened up from the worldly items in life. Ben went to church and spoke
with his ex-wife and daughters making it the first time they talked in person in a long
time. Ben turned his life around after the many situations him and Li Quan went through
in such a short period of time. The spiritual growth took some time for Ben to gain all it
all back. Ben fought against Gods plan many years after
When he gets off the plane at the beginning of the movie, he is moving in the opposite direction of everyone else. This indicates the fact that Ben feels isolated from society and has not yet found his role in it. Everyone around Ben has such high hopes for his future, but he does not seem to care about it. Instead, he is going through life the opposite way of others after graduating from college by lounging by the pool all day and being involved with a married woman. Ben is very weak and indecisive and cannot seem to figure out what he wants to do with his life since graduating. All of the choices that Ben makes seem to be very irrational and not very thought out. For example, he drops everything and goes to Berkeley in hopes of marrying Elaine after only going on one date together. Also, he brushes off advice concerning his future like when the guy at his party tells him that he should invest in plastics. However, he seems to have no interest in becoming successful or going to graduate school as he appears to be lost and traveling in the wrong
Ben is also a very peculiar character. The audience first encounters him with the full knowledge that he is dead. Ben is also the one figure that is able to move freely between the past and the present. Because Ben represents that which Willy seeks, Willy feels that he can achieve his goal the same way that Ben did and so he believes that "opportunism, cheating and cruelty are success incarnate" (Smith).
Ben had to deal with a kinds of shame, he had his family ashamed of him and he was ashamed of himself. His whole family was disgraced the way he look and
Benjamin was compassion. He thought about other people before him one example that Benjamin stated was “I gave the other two rolls to a woman and her child that came down the river in the boat.” While he could've ate all of the rolls he had he was kind to give his rolls away to a family, because he knew that the mom couldn’t afford to buy any food so he was nice to help them out.
Ben's father choose his own son to go to the terrorists, even though he knew they would hurt
Ben had a troublesome childhood, but he overcame it with flying colors. So what about his youth was super challenging? Well for starters, Carson was born on September 18, 1951, the second son of Sonya Copeland and Robert Solomon. Ben's mother (Sonya) dropped out of school when she was 13 to get married, and they divorced when he was just 8 years old. During this time, Carson's mom took on 2-3 jobs at a time to provide for her boys. It wasn't enough, and somehow they still ended up living in terrible poverty. After dropping out Sonya had a poor education, yet she always encouraged and pushed her two sons for a higher one.
Ben said a high point of his life was when they got engaged, but then he went on to explain a low point in his life.
For example, the text states, “ Ben soon learned tricks for sneaking out of the ghetto to find food for his family.” This shows that he is caring for his family. If he didn’t return to care for them, the probably would have died. In addition, the text also states, ”A few months after joining the partisans, Ben received word that his family was in trouble. He rushed back to Warsaw and was shocked by what he found in the ghetto.’’
Willy’s flashbacks and imagined conversations with Ben show that he associates him with self-assuredness and worldly knowledge. Even though Ben’s success is not the result of determination, honesty, or any other meritorious qualities that Willy could apply to his own life, Willy turns to Ben whenever he is unsure about anything. This is unfortunate for multiple reasons. Firstly, when Ben was alive, he showed few good qualities other than self-confidence—in fact, in one of Willy’s flashbacks, Ben cheats Willy’s son to win a fight. Although the author does not reveal much more about Ben’s character, this scene is very telling; it shows readers that in addition to luck, amoral activity likely contributed to Ben’s success.
She is also creative and lonely, spending most of her time alone. The mood of the book in the beginning and the middle is sad. The beginning of Ben’s story contains how his mother died and how he became deaf. Later, it continues on telling how he ran away to search for his dad, which turns out to be unsuccessful. However, it gets more adventurous as the story continues.
He believed that he had overcome the awful treatment until he received discrimination as an intern at the hospital was also shown throughout the movie. Ben Carson often overcame the smart comments said to him by people who were above him. From that situation he only became more successful by taking on the challenge to prove those who doubted him
his new life, as for the whole play Ben has been trying to leave Willy
Interruptions and changes of priorities to tasks happen frequently in Ben's position. At any time throughout the day, a truck or an individual could show up. When this happens, Ben stops what he is currently doing and assists them in a professional manner. He also handles the interruptions with a positive attitude. Ben has shown the ability to go back to what he was doing before he was interrupted without affecting the quality of his work.
skyrocketed from their original position. He mainly finds reading facile since Ben did superb when he stated reading. Ben proved his advisor wrong with his strategy and shocked everyone including himself! Ben proved that anyone can overcome any challenges they
Ben’s is a unique and strong character, although the viewers might find him heartless at times due to his different and peculiar approach to life. Ben parenting consists of all the necessary training that his children might need in their lives. he has taught his children to be tough and
