The line goes tight ,then a strike ,then the pole bending down into the water, the line running of the reel. That is when you know it's a big fish and the adrenaline starts to pump then you see the great Largemouth bass leap from the water as it try to get the hook out of its mouth as if its life depended on it .But after a long tiring fight it's over and the giant green largemouth bass is in the boat .It's a giant 5lber .Now that would be a fish to bad on average I only catch 3 lbs however no matter the size fishing is something that everyone can enjoy in her own way. There's a way to fish that everyone can like rather you are on that just likes to cast a line and wait for a fish to come or you are someone that likes to active
Central Coast is comprised of 6 counties. Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Benito, Monterrey, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Cruz. Santa Barbara is mainly mountainous or hilly. The highest peak point is the Junipero Peak at 5862 feet and is in the Santa Lucia Mountain Range. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife banned fishing in the central coast back in 2014 due to the drought. The cause for the banning of fishing is because the local fish such as the steelhead and the Coho were deemed to be endangered and in risk of possible extinction. This ban has not been lifted. The rivers that are affected by this ban are: Pescadero Creek, the San Lorenzo River and all its tributaries, Aptos and Soquel creeks, the Pajaro River, the Carmel River, the
There are many different types of tournaments that one can fish in. It all depends on the type of tournament that the angler enters. There are local tournaments, just-for-fun tournaments, and professional tournaments that include Bassmaster and Fishing League Worldwide (FLW).
Most people don't realize the amount of choices that are avaiable to them when it comes to ice fishing equipment. There are choices of clothes depending on the weather, choices of rods or tip ups and even choices of bait, string, shelters and everything else that you could think of.
Many people find hobbies that they enjoy; some people find hobbies that they love and make them lose track of time. What I have come to realize is that when you truly have a passion for something, whether it be good or bad, you tend to put it ahead of other things in life. You become so skilled in this one area because it is something you truly enjoy doing. But you can take what you have learned from this and apply it to the real world. What drives me is bass fishing, to the average person this just sounds like a lazy man's weekend activity. When I was young there wasn't much to it just put bait on a hook and wait but the possibility of potentially catching a giant has kept me hooked. As I have grown older I've learned how complicated what seems to be simple task
Fishing in Nova Scotia was and is how a vast majority of families earned their income. Boats were and can be passed down through families, and how most people were brought into fishing, was from helping their fathers as a summer job with very little pay which led to them fishing on their own. Fishing was good (back then) there was a lot of fish around but because of overfishing the stocks declined. Fishermen fished for in the area are pollock, haddock, cod fish, herring, halibut and lobster.
Ice fishing is such a fun-filled activity. While there are people who find it hard to catch fish on the snowy part of the lake, some people find it very challenging. These people who are up for extra challenge do not mind the difficulty of catching fish from the ice. Ice fishers would also agree that one of the most exciting parts of ice fishing is determining which fishes can be caught under the huge icebergs. Of course, not all the fishes you commonly see in the lake can be caught in ice fishing. There are several types of beautiful fishes that can be seen swimming under the ice. The following are just examples of them:
If you want to take up bass fishing this year, you need to make sure that you have the right type of lure in your tackle box. Here are the top four types of lures that you should carry with you if you want to be a successful bass fisher this year.
Commercial fishing in New England is not sustainable. Commercial fishing is the catching of fish for profit and, as with other profit making activities, there are trade-offs between a pure capitalistic market and the damage it does to resources. For commercial fishing, this trade-off is that the more fish the fishermen catch, the more damage it does to the fish population. To make commercial fishing sustainable, large regulations need to be in place, as Jack said. However, large regulations of a free market are usually not accepted in America and would not be put in place in time to save the fish and sustain commercial fishing.
I have been fishing my whole life, especially bass fish. I normally try to catch largemouth bass, which are very common where I am from. I was on my high school’s bass fishing team and we actually did pretty well for the most part, especially coming from such a small school. Largemouth bass are our prime target during these fishing tournaments. A largemouth bass is a white/green fish usually ranging from 1 pound to 6, they can also get up to 10 pounds as well. You can bass fish for fun or you can do it competitively such as tournaments. Tournaments usually go like every other tournament, you have two people and an adult captain that basically drives the boat and puts people in the best spots to catch bass. Every tournament usually starts at around 7 in the morning and goes through to 3 in the afternoon. After the time limit is reached, the boats then unload and get pulled up in the parking lot with the fish in them. The teams, then one by one go up to the weigh station and get a bag to put the
As time went on. I went from fishing in a small creek to the local lakes around my home area. My cousin had just bought a bass boat and asked me if I would like to start fishing with him. We fished every weekend, and from that point on I began to learn a lot more of what fishing had to offer, bass fishing in general. Preparation was a key aspect to get done to achieve that successful day on the water. Tackle and other equipment are a definite factor to narrow down that night before, as you will make sure all your tackle is organized and fishing line is in pristine condition. As like any other hobby in the world it can be costly. You use different lures as the seasons progress. Your winter and spring seasons, the fishing is usually a lot better

Some people consider bass fishing a sport, but for most fishermen it’s a lifestyle. People have been bass fishing since the beginning of time for different reasons. Bass fishing has evolved over the years from using a sapling and some string to the high tech rod and reel technology, as well as sonar fish-finders. For modern day fisherman fishing is a lifestyle that may require a wealth of money depending on what kind of bass fishing someone wants to do. People will less wealth just fish from the bank, but for the luckier individuals that are able to own a boat, fishing is easier, and more fun. Since the beginning of time people have been using real worms for bait, but now with the advancement of technology you can use baits that have a
Fishing is an activity I have enjoyed doing ever since I was a little kid. In fact, one of my first fishing voyages was with my grandpa when I was about eight years old. He was an avid fisherman who went fishing almost every day and knew everything there was to know about fishing. Grandpa got me hooked on fishing. After Grandpa died, my dad picked up where Grandpa left off. We had a pontoon, and Dad took my brothers and me fishing whenever we had the chance. To this day, I still love fishing just as much as I had on my first fishing trip with my grandpa. Many people enjoy hobbies that are relaxing and peaceful, and others prefer exhilarating activities that never have a dull moment. I enjoy fishing because it has some of both.
