The title, “Scorch Trials” has to do with the book because it is the name and setting of the trials that the Gladers have to complete successfully. To explain this further, the WICKED, or the World In Catastrophe Experiment Department, has set up trials for the Gladers to see which of them can successfully survive and reach the cure for the disease that has been injected into them called the Flare, as a prize for their hard and good work. These trials have been named the “Scorch Trials” because they take place outside in the “dangerous” world that is filled with Cranks or in other words zombies that are trying to eat and attack the Gladers alive. Not only that, but the outside world is almost unbearably scorching hot and dry. The sun is so

These are the survivors thoughts on the Triangle Factory Fire. There was over 100 survivors but I choose two of the most important people who lived from the fire and I am sharing their thoughts.
The Triangle Factory Fire took place in New York on Saturday, March 25, 1911. The fire was marked as the worst in history of the state of New York. Men, women, and children of all ages were there but unfortunately there were more women/girls than men/boys. There were many people to not find a way out of the building but some decided to jump out of the windows for a way of escaping the fire. Majority of those who escaped by the window lost their lives. The employers had no clue of this ever happening as well as the fire department who did not have enough man power or equipment for this massive degree. Although majority of the workers died, there were some who lived to share their stories.
What happened the day of the Triangle Fire? What progressed after it? On Saturday, March 25, 1911. At 4:25, which was 5 minutes before closing time at the Triangle Shirt Factory. The Triangle factory, owned by Max Blanck and Isaac Harris, was located on the top three floors of the Asch Building, floors 8, 9, and 10. Some cutters were smoking, even though it was prohibited. Though it is not certain, people believe that a cutter flicked a cigarette butt or hot ash, into one of the waste bins with flammable cloth in them. Many of the garment workers before the year of 1911 were unorganized, mostly because they were young immigrant
The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire of 1911 was one of the most lethal workplace tragedies in American history. 141 young women died that day, because of their unsafe work conditions. If they had fire extinguishers and a sprinkler system, or even just a better fire escape, no one would’ve had to die. The girls did not have access to these things however, because they were not required by law.
The Triangle Shirtwaist Fire is one of the most well known fire that has every happened in American Industrial history. The company was owned by Max Blanck and Isaac Harris who were rumored to have purposely caught their past companies on fire to collect the large fire insurance payment. This was not the case with this fire but Harris and Blanck did not take responsibilities for safety measures. Deadly fires are bound to happen when the owners of a company neglect the safety of their workers and that is what caused this fire.
March 25, 1911 about 145 people were killed due to a tragic fire. The fire was called the Triangle Factory, it was one of the largest disaster in New York before 9/11. Before the fire there weren’t many rules that aided in the prevention of massive fires, and a lot of people died because of that. Since the fire new labor laws and fire safety laws.
During this investigation, I will be analyzing the aftermath of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire that occured in New York City on March 25, 1911. I will specifically be addressing the question, “To what extent did the Triangle Factory Fire of 1911 help give workers the reforms that they had already been demanding?”
The Waldo Canyon Fire occurred on June 23, 2012 in Colorado. The area contained dry wild winds, and high temperatures as well as dry land; this resulted in the rapid spread of the fire. Firefighters responded to this situation by containing the fire spread, they checked the area where houses are close to vegetation. They evacuated the area to prevent more fatalities.

Fahrenheit 451 is an interesting title for a book. The novel is named Fahrenheit 451 because the novel’s main theme is burning books. It takes 451 degrees Fahrenheit for paper to burn, so Fahrenheit 451 represents the temperature required to burn paper. . The firemen in the novel have 451 on their elements because they represent the burning of the books. The title of the first section of this novel is “The Hearth and the Salamander.” Hearths and salamanders are ultimately associated with fire. Hearths are like fire places and they represent warmth and comfort. The second section of the novel is “The Sieve and the Sand”. The title refers to Montages memory as a child trying to fill sieve with sand .He is reminded of this childhood memory when
“Scorched Earth” then brings the focus to the summer of 1943 and the repeated hammer attacks by the enemy and how Germany was only barely standing at this point and its allies off in the distance. Chapter eight mentions how German leadership saw defeat as unavoidable but their last move was to keep the war going long enough for the Allied coalition to break and give Germany some negotiation power once more. This is when, in early 1943, the Final Solution was decided upon and Hitler chose to further radicalize the war and put the blame again on the Jews and seal their fate. Fritz discusses in detail the measures that Hitler put in place to remove as many Jews as possible and then some, one ironically including importing Hungarian Jews to work in the concentration camps to build the underground factories that would kill their fellow Jews once their work was finished. Fritz then discusses the “forgotten year” from fall of 1943 to summer of 1944 when there was a series of “debilitation German retreats and equally inglorious Soviet victories bought at horrendous cost” (365). Fritz turns to the meat of the problem then, the retreating Germans in their retreat left only burning cities and followed the “scorched earth” military procedure to ensure that the Soviets on their heels would have nothing to survive off of either. However, since the German army didn’t have the manpower to strip the land bare they often left more goods than they took with them and their mentality shifted

Nuclear energy is the energy released by a nuclear reaction, it uses fuel made from mined and processed uranium to generate heat and electricity. It is the world’s largest emission free energy source. Nuclear energy also has the lowest impact on the environment than other energy sources. But it can still be very harmful because of the radiation is causes and the radioactive waste it produces. Radioactive wastes are the ruins of nuclear materials that are used in providing nuclear energy. These wastes contain high levels of radiation that can be very hazardous to humans and the environment. Some people accept and support the idea of using nuclear energy and others don’t. In the following paragraphs, some major nuclear accidents and the public acceptance of nuclear energy will be discussed.
