As a teenager in high school, you go through many life changing experiences. Beginning as a young freshman to soon be one of the most empowered kids at school, also known as a senior. Senior year is the year you decide on the story of your life past this point! As a freshman, my mind always revolves around the question what year throughout High school is the most significant for the future ahead? I personally believe 9th grade is definitely signified as the most effective part of your future because that’s the beginning of your life as a teen, determines whether you can handle the next grade or not, and setting goals at the beginning. To begin with, 9th grade year is important because it is the beginning of your future career. This is the year you learn about high school and all the activities and class that are involved in it, including what your further interest in life will be. For example, sports could be a huge interest of yours and now that you’re in high school, the choice of partaking in them is yours. In addition, it will give you some guidance when it comes to going to college. Furthermore, you could start freshman year strong by participating in the sport of your interest throughout your high school years. Your actions and …show more content…
This is a really massive tool when it comes to planning your own future success. Constructing smart goals can make a positive effect on not only your organization but also your future. If you create a long term goal that starts freshman year and continue to do it until senior year, you’ll be more motivated to do the task and possibly be able to see a drastic difference in your success ( depending on the task). Also, compared to the evidence provided in the article “ Ninth grade: the most important year of high school” a program that is able to help the struggling children with setting goals and having aids available made the 9th grade dropout rates
The transition from eighth grade to ninth grade is astounding. For example, the classes are a lot more difficult than they were in eighth grade. By comparison, in eighth grade I would have at least two tests every Friday but now I have about five quizzes and two tests throughout the whole week. However, I do learn the material better when we have quizzes and tests even if it does stress me out. I also believe that being in ninth grade helps me understand time management more. Whereas in eighth grade I would just go home and watch television for a few hours, in ninth grade you have to come home, do your homework and study for a couple of hours. I have also learned that if you miss one day of school you'll miss everything. For instance, if you
Many people say that high school should be the best four years of your life. Most of us entered high school with this idea in mind, determined to enjoy every second of it. The confidence and energy that we held that first September allowed us to dive right into what has been an amazing four
Freshman, sophomore, and junior year of high school could never compare to senior year, though these were the years that molded me! I learned about boys. I experienced my first heartbreak. I got great advice from instructors I will never forget. And those years taught me how to forgive, but never
High school is always considered some of the best years of life. Students live with their families, see their friends almost everyday, and participate in the activities they love with the people they love. It has enough freedom for the student to decide how hard they will try, but it also has just the right amount of restrictions that parents can step in to make the student work. High school also gives students many opportunities to succeed and keep letting them try again if they fail. For example, a math teacher may allow a student to retake two test throughout a semester, but if the student proves that they are trying in the class then the teacher may allow them to retake a few more tests. Also, schoolwork is not tedious or lengthy,
High school is one of the most important things to a student's life. It is the foundation
Eighth grade and ninth grade are nothing alike. They are not alike because in eighth grade the eighth graders are the oldest students there. It is also different because since they are the oldest they get the most respect. In ninth grade the ninth graders are the youngest and get the least respect. In ninth grade or freshman year the students are new to the school and you don't really know anyone but your friends. To get through your first year as a freshman you must make a lot of friends and have good relationships with all your friends. Something that can help make you many friends is joining clubs or teams.Another way to get through freshman year is by helping other students on homework and classwork. If you are done with classwork
Ninth Grade is not the most important year of high school, you can do much better if the first year of high school didn’t go so well and you can boost your grade up by catching up. Senior year is more important since seniors often have the freedom to take more specialized high school classes, like electives, and can take advantage of AP and other challenging top-level courses. Although they have that freedom to choose their classes, without the learning experience of how to fit in. I have gotten this information from a cite that explains the importance of High school. Link is
High School is a time when many teenagers get into trouble and have many conflicts and struggles. Without all of the struggles, high school is supposed to be four terrific years. There are many struggles for teens like peer pressure, managing your time, fitting in, and many more. Most high schoolers will get pressured by their peers at some point and can cause some serious problems. About fifty-five percent of students play a high school sport on top of having a job, keeping your grades up, and just overall having fun, which can be very hard to do. During High school, students are going to want to not be themselves and want to fit in without being judged by their peers. High school should be a time for you to have some great years in your
High School Struggles High school can be very stressful, especially junior year. It is very evident that in the book “Overachievers: the Secret Lives of Driven Kids” by Alexandra Robbins, the students are very driven to be successful and often find themselves stressing out. Junior year is often known as the most important year of high school because students start worrying about ACT/SAT scores and they finally start looking at colleges. “But he had been told that junior year was the most stressful in high school. This was the year he had to start thinking about colleges.”
9th grade year is the most important in high school in my opinion. 9th grade year determines if you will drop out or not. I believe how you start off high school is how you will conclude high school.
I can fairly say that sophomore year of high school changed who I am completely. This was the year I decided to take on miscellaneous challenges, which have helped me gain valuable work ethic that will help me to persist in college. These include enrolling myself in sports, deciding to start junior year in a different high school and my acceptance into a three year paid internship in which helps me work on my leadership skills, and prepares me for college.
Every story has a conflict, but do they always have a winner? Not all conflicts have a winner. As external conflicts, most of the time, have a winner; also, internal conflicts happen in the head of someone or something, and often don’t have a winner because there is only one person in the conflict.
Some say freshman year because you do not know what to expect, some say junior year because
I personally loved my senior year of high school. However, I can see the pros and the cons in it. The pros of completing a senior year in high school could vary from person to person but things such as becoming mature. Many 16, 17 year old boys don’t know how to wash clothes, cook for themselves, etc. I’m not saying that an 18 year old boy does but they are more mature. A senior year in high school could help them learn what they want to do in their career. I had no idea what I wanted to be until my senior year during a Biology class. There are so many plusses to senior year. You have seniority, prom, and homecoming. On the other hand I would have loved to get a head start. If you’re ready that’s great. I think that if a student wants to graduate
Once a child graduates from elementary school and goes on to high school, he or she is already molded into the person he or she will be for the rest of his or her life. Sure all kids become more mature within those four years, but their values are still the same, and in some cases even stronger. In most circumstances, a child will use what they learned in the past to make decisions inhe future. High school, however, is important for other reasons as well. High school is the very last step before a student can enter the realm of higher education. Therefore, high school is essentially what prepares a student to go on to bigger and better things. High school is where
