There was one moment in the book where she had to make probably one of the most difficult choices in her life, yet she did not hesitate to make that choice. Jeannette’s older sister, Lori, always wanted to move to New York to escape her delusional parents. However, she did not have enough money to pay for a bus ticket, wiping out any hope that she had. " ‘I'll never get out of here,’ Lori kept saying. ‘I'll never get out of here.’ ‘You will,’ I said. ‘I swear it.’ I believed she would. Because I knew that if Lori never got out of Welch, neither would I.” Then one day, Jeannette was offered $200 and a bus ticket back to Welch to take care of a woman’s two toddlers in Iowa for the summer. Instead, she insisted that the woman, Mrs. Sanders, should take Lori and her payment be a “bus ticket to New York City.” The fact that Jeannette easily made the decision of sacrificing her ticket for Lori amazes me; she knew how important the trip the New York was for her, so she wanted to make that dream happen. When Lori left, Jeannette still did not give up on her dream to go to New York and become a journalist. She joined just about “every extracurricular event at the school” to gain the attention of colleges, particularly in New York. The motivation that can be found in this is that you cannot give up on your ambitions

“I believe that today is the day you should know how I chose my career” and suddenly everyone's eyes and ears opened up. Mrs. Chavez had abandoned her normal playful tone and opted for a more serious one. I was wearing my red and white summer uniform. The story’s protagonist, Aidan O’Neill, is cocky, confident, self-righteous, bitter and lonely and yet the reader will be able to identify with him. As she continued to go back and ask repeated questions ab0out her mama, “soof”, and how the photos were taken, she learned extremely valuable information. Her mother who is actually named Sophia came there and fell in love with another client named Elliot. Thurman Hill was not planning to keep this baby, on the chance it probably would not end well and the fact that Sophia’s mother was theu sing him to get money. Thurman Hill did the best of his ability to bribe her to stay away forever. This girl used all of her luck and energy to who her mother really was and how she ended up in Reno. The author put great detail into Heidi the main character, but I feel as though I didn’t really get the full feel for the other characters. They made Hiedi so determined, lucky, brave, and relatable. Whereas the other characters just really had their looks described about them and no clues as to what their personality was truly like. The plot of the story had a lot of power and emotion behind it. This young girl traveled on a bus for three days by herself just to get to her origin. After she retrieves all the information she had wanted so desperately, she gets a phone call telling her that her mother died. Although they were tragic Hiedi handled these situations well and got what she came

In the book Stranded the main character is a teenage girl named Emma Dodd who has been through tragic life events. In ten years in the future I think that Emma would have written a book describing her close encounter to death in the wilderness. Most people that survive crazy experiences like to write books describing what they been through. In ten years I can also see Emma with a job that involves a search and rescue team. With her own experience being lost in the wilderness and feeling like no one's looking for you would push her to be a part of search and rescue to make sure no one feels like that again. In ten years this experience would have shown Emma how mentally and physically strong she
