From the 1780s to the mid 19th century the Industrial Revolution was at full pace. The era is responsible for the innovative inventions that changed the world and we still rely on today along with the environmental consequences that followed. Factories were dangerous and many workers were discriminated, it is because of this that workplaces are safe and employees are treated and payed fairly.

The Industrial Revolution was the development of industry that occurred in Britain and Europe or the USA between the years 1750 to 1900. It introduced the development of machinery. It was characterised by the use of steam power, growth of factories, and mass production of manufactured goods. The steam train used to transport people or goods over long distances on land.

During the 18th century, the Industrial Revolution changed how goods are produced and also changed the lives of the working class. Britain and France began to modernize and factories and towns began to become more urban. The industrial revolution had both positive and negative effects on our history. The Industrial Revolution had many positive impacts on Britain and France during its time.

The Industrial Revolution, as described by Stephen Gardiner, was “another of those extraordinary jumps forward in the story of civilization.” During this time period, some might argue that Industrialization had primarily negative consequences for society. Industrialization involved the use of child labor, negatively affected the environment, and had harsh working conditions in factories. However, I will counter that it actually had a greater positive effect for society. As a result of Industrialization, the United States rose to become the world’s largest economic power and people were able to enjoy new amenities that weren’t previously available.

The industrial revolution had a significant impacted in the way people live from then to now. Today, everyone lives in a consumer society and a person’s lifespan significantly increased which all started with the industrial revolution. Historically, there is an argument stating whether or not industrialization had an overall greater positive or negative effect on society. While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily negative consequences for society because of the poor working conditions, it brought a positive thing for society. Industrialization’s positive effects were the amount of jobs it brought for workers, better transportation, and higher standard living.

The Industrial Revolution was a time in American history when people started to work with machines and in factories at their jobs. There were many astounding and horrible things that came with it though. Overall, I believe that the Industrial Revolution had a negative impact because it brought child labor, poor living conditions, and accidents/ injuries on the world.

There were only two social classes, the nobility and the working class. Little did they know, that their lives were about to change dramatically and continue changing for the next generations to come.

The individuals of that era existed in small settlements where agriculture was very shared and general. It was the basis for money and also the basis for food. People completed and sold things that were grown or made, gradually and prudently. All was well, but there was also a want for upgrading to make life easier. We desired cooler ways to carry materials, and we also had a want for inexpensive and quicker production. This is why we were in necessity of development in the industrial industry.

A lifestyle, culture, a way of living completely changed in only 150 years. The industrial revolution was a period of time, between the years of 1750 and 1900 that changed the way people lived, farmed and produced items. Some of the things that came out of the industrial revolution benefitted people’s lives while others worsened the lives of people. Six major changes caused by the industrial revolution were, housing, the social class system of England, factories, inventors and the inventions they created, health conditions (mental and physical problems), and social conditions (unemployment, alcohol, crime, family life).

The Industrial Revolution had many positive and negative impacts on society. The positive include cheaper clothes, more job opportunities, and improvement in transportation. And the negative would include exploitation of women and children, workers work long hours and environmental damages. These are just a few that I believe had an impact on the Industrial Revolution.
