Should Kids Be Able To Have Phones In School

Do you want kids to post pictures of teachers online? Do you want kids to text their mom to come get them? Do you want kids to take their phones to the bathroom? The answer is no. Phones should not be allowed in 10th period because of social media, taking advantage of using it anywhere , and texting.

Phone technology has been upgrading and updating for years now, and that’s obvious, and that means that this generation is filled with it. While it’s upgrading it’s also becoming more in demand than before. The world is starting taking it to another level, so there are also the downsides of these phones, the downsides that make this technology distracting, making people to beleive they shouldn’t be alowed in class. While it is true, phones can be a distraction sometimes, if the students are monitered the right way and know exactly what they are doing, phones just might be able to work out. With proper use, phones should be alowed in school.

Students should not be able to have there phone in school.It has caused many issues and is a big distraction.Kids can't be kids in this generation without their phones.Everything evolves around it and it takes away from interacting with people personally, connecting with others and it also takes less focus on learning.It most definitely shouldn't take away your learning and experiences in a classroom.

Most schools do not allow the use of cell phones in school or in class, so the school feels like changing their policy of cell phone use might be a bad idea. Students could take advantage or miss use the privilege of phones in class. There will always be students who act out in class, but the school must discipline those who do and reward those who do not.

I believe that students should not have phones in middle school. I believe this because there are a lot of disadvantages of having a phone in middle school. Some of the disadvantages are distractions, fear of losing the device and being less social.

Are you always on your phone? Either Snapchatting, on Instagram, scrolling through your twitter feed? It can be pretty temping to pick up your phone and do this stuff in class but you can use them in good ways in school. George Washington Middle School currently has cell phones banned in class. Another reason that kids should have phones during school is that an emergency can happen at anytime and if a kid needs to contact their parent, they can use their phone. Although most to all classrooms have phones, for every kid to wait during an emergency to call their parents can be scary and most kids would like to contact their parents as soon as possible and for as long as they want or need.

One reason why we should have our phones at school is because some teachers would say “kids will text each other during a test.” But all the teachers have to do is take the phones away during the test is going on, and when the test is over then the teachers can give you your phone back. Should kids in elementary and high school have phone’s? This is really hard to decided but I think that kids in elementary should at least have in 5th grade and above. In high school they are more mature with thing’s so high school they should be able to have phone’s it can help them with math, english etc.

The first reason we should not have phones in school is that it is dangerous. Some evidence to this is that if there is an emergency the kids would call the parents and the parents would rush to school clogging up traffic. I don’t know about you but I don’t want emergency workers late to save us.
